Brand new and very beautiful and sophisticated inside. Very friendly and professional staff. Very nice pool and sauna area, and excellent gym, but pool felt a bit cold. Could still swim though. Breakfast buffet quite small but good quality. Nice history lecture for guests. Nice "living room" with lounge furniture for guests but could be more practical with a desk if one wanted to work on a laptop. Nice area 2 min walk to the ferries.

The only significant issue is that many rooms (at least the two we saw) are mostly with not so nice views to street or to the inside glas-covrered courtyard, which is modern and part of the hotel, but not too cheerful. The not so nice view made me rate 9 instead of 10. Also that there was no desk in the room, so not too practical for work, but seems other rooms have it. I think such a hotel should have a Japan/Asian style toilet and not a standard Aussie toilet. I would have thought asian guests expect it.

I loved everything about this property and my stay, from the beginning like getting out of our car and upto our room, everything was seamless and easy, staff are friendly and professional and most importantly they’re approachable. Every aspect of the hotel is deliciously clean and cosy. Breakfast was 11/10. The staff around this hotel is what makes this place as good as it is, I would highly recommend a stay at Capella just for the amazing experience. I’m for sure coming back again.

Incredible service from all the staff. We were treated like royalty which is very rare nowadays and sets Capella apart! They went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay and everything was to our liking. It was a very warm environment with great attention to detail, impressive artwork and interior design. Well designed, spacious, elegant rooms. Spectacular bathroom. The wellness spa, breakfast and restaurants were exquisite. The food was magnificent. Everything about Capella was breathtaking and executed phenomenally. I really hope they will maintain this level of execution, professionalism and service because they have mastered all the key components to a perfect stay and exceptional customer care. I will not stop raving about this place and hope to return very soon.

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The facilities were superb and every little detail taken care of. The culturalist team were first class - they booked us in to all the best restaurants and prepared an itinerary for us. Pool and spa facilities were excellent and great after a busy day. Breakfast was brilliant - loads of choice, excellent buffet and a la crate. The staff were super friendly and always asking how they can help. Eden, Jonathan and the general culturalist team made the whole experience more than 5 stars. Can’t wait to return. Great location too near Circular Quay.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the most comfortable stay, they were proactive, hugely accommodating, friendly and efficient. It was our first stay there and our first impressions were incredibly strong, we will 100% be back.

The toilet paper was very rough and uncomfortable, softer please. The Macrae bar definitely needs a more substantial menu for people who are wanting a quick bite with their drinks. The current menu is very insufficient, and yes I am aware there is a restaurant and another bar as well, this doesn’t change my view. It should still have some food options that will satisfy hungry patrons that don’t want to have to go elsewhere.

Personalised service: during turndown service, they place little gifts to make you sleep better "The Living Room" offers free cocktails from 5:30pm - 7pm with great selection of alcohol and canapé. Hi-tech room where you can simply place your request through the tablet. Great facility - spa and the pool, with sauna and steam room which never goes wrong Food Great selection of cuisine and ingredients for breakfast, from modern Australian to Asian (e.g. Jasmine rice congee which was really nice) accompanied with fresh bread, pastries, fruits, and salad. Coffee? Is that even a question? Cutlery was polished to perfection which is a great bonus point!

The bar staff was not very attentive (e.g., when our glasses were empty, it took them a while to come and refill our drinks). Kitchen closes early, so if you wish go to the bar after 10pm, room service is a better option.

Breakfast was a great combination of buffet and a la carte. The food was delivered quickly. The Premium room was spacious and beautifully curated and felt like home. The pool area was lovely and the hot pool massage spouts were great, the gym is well equipped and spacious. The living room is a lovely gathering area and the staff are very attentive. The location is brilliant for shopping and sight seeing.

Not much ! there is no outdoor space so sitting outside in the Summer did not look possible. It is expensive but luxurious and the staff are well trained.

An exceptional hotel experience with attention to every little detail. Staff and general customer service across the hotel was the best I have ever experienced in Australia. The rooms are so luxurious and spacious. Most comfortable bed and linen ever. Beautifully curated hotel in public areas. The Living Room was a beautiful space only for hotel guests. Breakfast is al a carte and a small buffet with the finest quality ingredients. Could not fault this hotel.

No onsite parking. Make sure you book the valet parking at $120 which is cheaper than the nearest parking station which cost us $160.

Capella is easily the nicest luxury hotel in Sydney. We have had 2 “stay-cays” here this year since it opened and absolutely love it. The facilities are state-of-the-art and everything feels high-end, beautifully elegant and clean. Your staff are excellent and really take pride in their wonderfully high level of service provided. We felt like we were in a luxury hotel in Europe. We haven’t come across anything even close to the standard of Capella in other hotels around Australia.

the staff. every single person we came in contact with did something that made us feel taken care of. even those we did not meet, eg. housekeeping paid attention to every fine detail eg. making sure the mirror always titled the right way at the right angle. amazing.

breakfast was really really good, not exceptional. the fact that I had to come up with this shows what a great experience I had.
