Dennis at the Front Desk was exceptionally professional on arrival and t'out my stay. Why? He listened, he presented options re location of room etc. The hotel can't help the construction noise surrounding it day and night / and Dennis professionally presented room options to my satisfaction.

bookings.com - the car from Sydney airport to the hotel on the early evening of 31/8/23. Not withstanding all parties involved moved heaven and earth to re arrange my car pick up ( due to a change with Qantas and a later flight ) - having to 'WALK' to P3 for the pick up. Thank heavens a young couple spoke to the Driver and said Mr Savage is an elderly man / he has already walked from the Terminal past Cabs/ past Uber PickUps where is P3 - I felt as though I was walking to the hotel itself - it was cold/raining and altogether madness. The driver eventually after a conversation with the young couple - found me ( although he said Macquarie Bank and Uber Drivers will be pissed off seeing him come closer to pick me up!!!!!!!!

Great stay on all grounds, with the exception of the bed (see below). In room daily tidy-up and replenishment of toiletries and provisions was great. Very roomy bathroom. Convenient location for our access to trains (for hiking trails) and proximity to Circular Quay.

The bed probably needed replacement as it was soft and 'hammocky'. Overnight, my wife and I kept falling into the middle part of the bed, so that led to an average sleep which was disappointing. The quality of the bed was at odds to our overall very positive experience of the hotel.

Check in and out was very easy, central location was great for me, very close to two train stations. While the room was very Small, it had everything I needed, including bathroom toiletries. Bed was very comfy. The lift was very interesting, wasn’t sure it was going to make it up to the 11th floor. The continental breakfast at $10 was well worth it. The staff were very helpful and on returning to my room after a long day sightseeing I found to my surprise some Easter Eggs left on the bed. Which I thought was a lovely touch at Easter.

Cracked window and the very visible patch up job wasn’t very pretty. But it didn’t affect my stay.

It was very central to everything we were doing so it was easy to get around. The room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable.

There was no lounge area in the room and ultimate king ensuite yet just a single chair on either side of bed. That said you would not have fit a lounge in there anyway. We were going to have drinks there on Friday night and it was such a hot day but the place is getting refit with new aircon so we opted to go elsewhere but next time we will go there as that should be all new by then.

Excellent location, nice area to walk in and close to historic church, and park. Near to hop on hop off bus stop the area is clean and safe with a excellent coffee shop next door serving excellent coffee and breakfast and lunch fare. The coffee shop is called Chapter Five, my wife and I have owned a gourmet coffee roasteries for 40 years and this is one of the best we have encountered in our many travels. Hotel has a good buffet breakfast for an extra charge.

No early check in, you arrive on a early flight or ship, and can't check in until 3. They did tag and hold our bags. sad to say this is true for many hotels.

Beautiful old style building in a great central location. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Room was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. Our room was near the elevator which was a little noisy but bearable but for light sleepers they supply ear plugs if you need. Bed was very comfortable and lovely clean linen. Large TV, small bar fridge, air conditioning, a couple of dining chairs and a small table and ensuite completed the room Only criticism, and it's only a small one, but a more comfortable chair for sitting would have been great but we just sat on the bed. We will definitely stay at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel again

No parking on-site but it was only a short walk from the Hilton Car Park to the hotel and we were aware of this prior to booking. We had an issue with our code to access the car park not working but this was fairly quickly resolved with minimal fuss.

This hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but very comfortable. Its location is excellent and it has all the facilities you'd expect for the level of accommodation. Staff were attentive, the bar is excellent and the continental breakfast was extremely good value. I particularly appreciated the multi-point power outlet next to the bed. Often hotels forget that people need to plug in various devices. Excellent wifi.

The room was fairly small, with large furniture, but apart from that the facilities in the room were fine. The bed was fairly comfortable, not too soft and definitely not too hard. Bathroom was cosy but excellent shower made up for it a bit.

A small and lovely older style art-deco hotel in central Sydney. The hotel reception were most welcoming, the room very comfortable and the location exceptional for a one-night stay to see a show in the city. There were excellent photographs throughout the hotel showing historic Sydney and surrounds - these would make a great collection in a book. The breakfast area on level 2 was spacious, quiet and comfortable, and the continental breakfast ample. The hotel is very easy to get to from nearby city railway stations and also close to main shopping and theatres. The cost is as expected for central CBD.

The hot water was indeed very hot and slow to regulate with cold. Otherwise no complaints.

Location was excellent as we travelled by train to Sydney for Vivid - the Hotel is very close to Town Hall Station and St James station. St James Station is one stop from Circular Quay where it is easy access to Sydney Harbour Bridge, ferries, Opera House, and the Rocks. Room was cosy but had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy. No view from window as works were occurring next door - which created a lot of noise but finished up at 5.50pm.

The foyer is very charming and very deco .very welcoming,, you feel like you are stepping back into a world of the past. Lovely to see. Dinning room was so beautifully appointed and decorated . The lovely breakfas was just what we needed. Lovely juices ,nice selection of cereals, the different types of breads were delicious so was the coffe.the lady looking after the place was so charming & refreshing. It was a pleasure being there.The front desk was very welcoming. In all we had a lovely time we will be back happily. Thank you .

There was no complaints .the room was a little on the boring side and a little small but by no mean of a problem. The bathroom was nicely appointed.
