Il Mondo Boutique Hotel

This was a return stay for us....we enjoyed our stay at the same time last year. This is the perfect location for a NYE celebration as a short walk provides a good view of the NYE fireworks and not too many competing crowds. We book 2 rooms on the same level so our visiting relatives can have their own room over the stay but we can also easily enjoy each others' company. The cost to do this is far better than other city locations and yet nothing is below expected standards. Chris and his Staff are great hosts. As we were only staying two nights we had not really expected a change of linen over that period and yet we received a full service to our room while we were out. As one of our party was still asleep in his room staff thoughtfully left a basked of clean linen at his door. On a rainy day we had complimentary umbrellas when we walked to a nearby coffee shop. Restaurants and Cafes nearby are of excellent quality. We'll be back.

We would have liked a bar on the wall to assist with getting out of the bathtub. But this was minor. Water was hot and bath products were of good quality.

Location was close to the Queensland Multicultural Centre where I was attending an event. The area is serviced by a free shuttle bus into the CBD and the free CityHopperFerry. We enjoyed evening strolls by the river. There are plenty of places nearby to get food and provisions. Hotel absolutely spotless. All staff were lovely.

Outback Bar over the road is noisy on Friday and Saturday evenings so earplugs were handy. Sofa could have been a bit bigger and more comfy.

We stayed while visiting friends and family in Brisbane so was perfect for what we needed. Check in was personable and quick. Parking underground and secure with lift access very easy. Room was comfortable and clean, good size with balcony. Thank you to house keeping who promptly found I had left my shoes behind!

Nothing really. There was a lot of noise being Sat night, coming from hotel across road but as we had earplugs it didn’t affect our sleep so if staying on a weekend just bring some earplugs :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Il Mondo. Chris was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure we had a nice stay. I knew the area well and it is a perfect location in Brissy to holiday with the beautiful park and iconic bridge right there. The room and bathroom was spacious and I was delighted to realise it came with a balcony. Parking was complimentary and the CityHopper (a short walk away) is free.

Location is perfect, the room very clean, and bed very comfortable. The Manager Chris was so kind and helpful, like all the other staff in this nice hotel. Parking was easy in the basement, lift takes you upstairs with your luggage, spacious airy room, good quality Earth toiletteries, fresh feel all around. It not a new hotel, but I’ve seen newer hotels that haven’t even come close to Il Mondo service and comfort. Will be back for sure.

Chris, Signed us in, and stated to please let him know if there is anything he can do to make our stay even more comfortable. We were able to access the room early which was nice. The room was very comfortable everything was clean. The air-conditioner was on upon arrival ensuring the room was cool, and certified as having been recently cleaned, important for viruses and other bugs. We will return.

Chris was so lovely and made our stay so easy and comfortable. Located so close to the ferry terminal, we were able to see Brisbane from a great advantage point. Everything was clean and there was lots of room for our 3 night stay.

funny smell in the room that we couldn’t locate where it was coming from. the light from the aircon was so bright at night (but easily fixed by booking a magazine on top)

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully clean and spacious, with the shower pressure perfect. You couldn't hear any of the noises outside and having the small patio attached to the room was perfect to enjoy a coffee

A comfier chair or small lounge to sit on inside instead of needing to use the bed. The signage was not very visible from the road so was a little difficult to find when you aren't familiar with the city.

Our trip to Brisbane was to visit our family and the accomodation was close to where our activities were to take place. We loved the location which was close to the river and its walking paths. We used public transport a few times and we were near to a shuttle bus that took us the city Cat (all free). Off-street parking was a bonus for our car hire and the concierge was very informative with things like grocer shops, restaurants and a few extra we required. The cleaning staff serviced our apartment every day and kept our apartment in immaculate condition. In summary, our stay was very enjoyable and hassle free.

The first room we booked in was kind of confusing due to the smell of the toilet next to the room. But they acted on it as they didn't realize. So they offered us a way better room at a better fair cost, so my uncle agreed and yes they were very happy with the room offered and stayed there for nearly a month.

I would be more confident if we can see more photos in the website to see our budget to book next time.
