Nice apartment, nice furnishings and close to restaurants and beach. Bar area. Room cleaners were friendly, helpful and efficient. Partial beach view.

I expected more as the prices for the accomodation are a bit pricey and the high star rating. Reception is only open limited hours. Only once during my stay did reception staff greet me when I walked past. I expected réception staff to greet me when I walked past, particularly in the morning. No aircon in lifts. Wouldn’t want to get stuck in there. Time waiting for bar drinks to arrive at table during happy hours was slow. The photos on your website come across as though the pool wraps around the building and is much longer and luxurious than it is. A few minor issues with the room which I reported to staff at reception on check out that need to be fixed.

This accomodation is perfectly located in Caloundra! Everything you need is right at your doorstep or within walking distance. There is direct beach access to a patrolled beach with no waves and a short walk to the surf beaches. If you drive, secure parking is included. Beach towels, buckets, umbrellas and chairs are available for hire or provided in the room. Excellent coffee served every morning with complimentary cakes. Staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is extremely well appointed with full sets of cutlery / glass wear and cook wear. Rooms were made up each day, and soaps etc were restocked.

We originally booked a premium room then changed to an older type room because there were several hundreds difference in price. We did regret this a little. Our room was very tired and in desperate need of a deep clean and freshen up. The rest of the property was very clean and tidy though. Our appliances were worn out and the TV and washing machine didn’t work intermittently. The architecture is unique and all the curves do lead to some tight spaces that feel a little dysfunctional until you’re used to it (closing doors to get to a drawer etc). There is no gym on-site and the lap pool was closed for renovations (we knew this before hand).

Our first room 212 had a really comfortable bed and view over the beach. Great setup for young kids. Great location- could walk to everything Huge bathrooms- can wash everyone at the same time

Our 2nd room 312 was less comfortable. Awful couch and low, hard bed Avoid coffee downstairs but muffins are a nice touch There is not enough space to unpack for a long stay. 3 hangers in one of the cupboards and 3 tiny drawers so really only a 1 person cupboard. Interesting design choices make it very awkward, especially in the kitchen but you can manage.

The location is amazing. Safe enough to send kids down for ice cream on their own or head over to beach. Pools were great. I wish I had have booked a beach view but have done for next year already. We stayed 9 nights as we were attending dance comps and housekeeping were great checking in everyday to see if we wanted a tidy up or fresh towels etc. Most days they'd just take our trash without any question. It was so close to the venue we walked the 2 mins back and forth. Can't wait to go back and explore a little more. Only downside on my kids behalf was the limit on the vending machine hahaha.

The room was excellent - stylish, well equipped and spacious and the view was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and we especially enjoyed a morning coffee and complimentary muffin, which were delicious. The location is great - close to beach, shops and bus routes. Lots of amenities within walking distance including a mall and supermarket. Our kids enjoyed the pool and spa.

It was a bit noisy at times with the renovations happening (that started at 7.30am everyday) and also we were near the pool and bar and the soundproofing around the door/entrance to our room was not that good so could hear everyone including the screaming kids etc. Fortunately there was a 9pm finish to noise so it was tolerable.

We received a text that our room was ready before the 3pm check in which was a very nice touch. We had a water view from our balcony with a table and seating for us all, a large screen tv in the lounge, a well stocked kitchen with a full size fridge. The 3 bedroom unit was lovely and well set out with 2 bathrooms, one with a spa bath. I was contacted the day before to see how we would like the beds configured in the bedrooms. We parked our cars in a secure area which gave us peace of mind. As we travelled with family, the pool was close for them to enjoy, the happy hour in the bar was spent sampling the cocktail menu, the complimentary coffee and muffin breakfast was lovely.

That we didn't have longer to stay.

Beautiful esplanade location with complimentary tea/coffee and muffins for breakfast but with no other in-house dining options, albeit perfectly situated with ample other options for breakfast/lunch/dinner within 100 m walk of hotel, including the fine-dining option of Tides restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed for a long long lunch during our stay. Great hotel heated pool/jacuzzi also with added bonus of adjacent cocktail bar for long relaxing afternoons keeping adults happy whilst also keeping young children entertained if not wanting to venture out to the local patrolled beach which is also right at your doorstep if preferred. We stayed in a large three-bedroom suite with ample space for our family of four visiting from interstate plus Grandma joining us from Brisbane, with two full-sized bathrooms together with a full-sized kitchen for those who might prefer to cook/eat in, also including a spa bath in the master ensuite which the kids loved. Free secure underground parking also a welcome bonus. Overall, a very happy first-time visiting family of four from interstate who very much enjoyed a relaxing three-night stay, and who would be very happy to repeat the same in the future whenever the opportunity permits. Thank you!

We found nothing to dislike at Hotel Rumba during our stay!

The location is excellent with restaurants and beach within walking distance and the rooms are big with a convenient kitchenette. The rooms are always spotless and the cleaning staff are amazing.

We are regular rumba visitors and we don’t like the rooms close to the elevator as it can be noisy and we had this again on this stay. I think they need recycling options for guests in the rooms with a recycling box but they don’t do anything about it. The manager Craig also lectured me about forgetting my license and was quite rude and unwelcoming. Very different to our previous experience with Lee who is always lovely.

Great hotel and excellent helpful staff. Very clean, modern and well appointed rooms Beautiful outlook and room views. Right on the beach area. Very good access to restaurants and shops. Walking distance to everything you need.

It was extremely busy, and very noisy in the pool area at times during the day, and late into the night some nights. The room rates were hiked up a lot due to a busy festival time, so it was very pricey for the general standard and facilities. The feather pillows were not good for sleeping...we used the normal ones. Aircon was patchy

What a great little beach resort directly onto the bay with the restaurant and pool offering beautiful views. they all have a lovely siting out deck looking over the gardens, pool or ocean. Lots of local eating within easy walking. Grounds kept beautiful. Fantastic, friendly staff and always willing to offer assistance to make your stay comfortable.

not being able to stay longer enough . - Giving we had children and are a family would of loved to have the opportunity to have room service to eat on the balcony . yes restaurant 26 is a bar below but did not suit the typical Sunday breakfast and had to put our expense outside the resort . when that profit could have been held within the resort . we spent an easy 300 odd dollars sourcing down stairs out side on other things where food was more available . When you pay 400 odd night you except more of an option . well considering wasn't local walked in pjs just to get food luckily it had a beach vibe :) always got to do something a first time for all . !!! dont let this give you a bad taste they may have reasons but overall we are coming back .
