Club Tropical Resort with Onsite Reception & Check In

The room was very spacious and the balcony with the kitchenette was brilliant. A lovely view from the balcony. Loved the fans on the balcony and inside as well as we didn't always need the air-con. The pool was lovely but needed a few more lounge chairs. Club Tropical was very central to everything that we needed. Will come again and hopefully get the same room.

It would be helpful to have the lift go to the 3rd floor. It was not easy carrying our luggage up the stairs to our room. The ventilation fan in the toilet came on at odd hours of the night. It was quite loud. There needs to be some sort of curtaining across the glass blocks in the bathroom to stop the light entering the main room at night when sleeping. It was too bright.

The property was well located, right in the middle of town. It was close to everything so it was easy to walk everywhere. We had a comfortable room looking north, over looking the park across the road. We had everything we needed for a one week stay. It was also quiet. The staff were lovely to deal with. The pool was excellent.

We had too many light switches in our room so it was confusing working out what switch went with which light! There were also leaks in the corridors due to the heavy rain.

The staff were super helpful from the moment we'd booked. The constant communication regarding airport transfers and recommendations for tours and eateries around the area. Our flight was also delayed by a day and Michelle was very helpful to get us in another night at the accommodation and rebooked our airport transfer last minute. The pool was nice and a very spacious studio room, with amenities for cooking. Walking distance to the market, all the restaurants and the marina.

The room was a little dated. Parts of the place need a bit of freshen up. The tap was dripping and the lights were a little dim in the room.

Great location, room was super comfy for a long stay. Great outlook. Loved the pool area and staff were all so very helpful from the moment we contacted them until we left. Very helpful with recommending trips suited to us.

Aircon vents were dirty but staff were immediately onto this, once pointed out.

The reception staff were excellent! So helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool, spa and sauna were great and we enjoyed using them. The location was amazing! Right on the main drag, but quiet. Right near the beach and the marina. Easy access to anything outside the main drag using the shuttle bus service. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

The only downside is the wifi is not great, and not sufficient for streaming (free to air TV only).

Club Tropical is a wonderful place to stay, we had a spacious studio on the ground floor overlooking the beautiful pond. Great bed, good air conditioning and well equipped kitchen with all you need . The staff were great , happy and quick to help with any issues, special mention to Alison on reception who was just lovely. It is situated at the end of the Main Street close to supermarket, lovey restaurants and breakfast/ lunch eateries and across the road from park area to watch the boats come in and the sunsets every night. Highly recommend this accomodation and look forward to staying there again. Thanks Club Tropical.

minor things bathroom taps vey hard to use tv in bedroom didn’t work internet non existent but I think all of port Douglas was same

Great pool and outdoor spa. Pleasant garden surroundings and shared undercover areas with library. Ideal location on Macrossan St, near all the retail shops and restaurants and protected from the afternoon winds. Easy onsite car parking. Friendly helpful staff.

All was ideal - have visited before - love the room sizes, the balcony with kitchen, the light streaming in and the good view

All pretty good - paint needs a touch up in a couple of areas.

Place is a bit run down eg Pool House keeping. What you see looks and is clean. WHAT you do not see eg under beds is dirty and had to complaint
