Asters On James Motor Inn

We didn't require breakfast due to my wife's ongoing health issues, we provided our own meals as we have to carefully watch what my wife eats.. We did like the cleanliness of the room and it is particularly spacious which we found very good.. The close proximity to the hospital was very good as there were several trips back and forth following my wife's surgery..

At least a bench of some kind in the bathroom to put things on would have been helpful, we thought it strange that the hand washing sink was outside the bathroom.. Further and this is not a criticism of the motel or the staff but the constant door and boot lid slamming of the of the inconsiderate neighbours was quite frustrating at times, especially at 5am in the morning..

We try to share around our bookings when visiting Toowoomba. This location was a surprise when we noticed the local eateries and convenience stores within walking distance. The tv failed in its operation and the staff went out on all avenues to correct the problem even with offering another room. We wanted the two room setup as I stay up late reading or watching late shows so we stayed. Some very minor things were noted but of no consequence when you find out the owner is on a mission to upgrade and improve what had become a partly neglected operation some 3 years ago. This location is top for the flowering period and close to everything.Parking is undercover and that is a bonus considering the storm threats that loomed.

the position is excellent for hospital appointments when the parking at hospital is a nightmare . lovely food located across a quiet road . I had to change the dates of my stay at the last minute due to appointments changing and the manager was very helpful and only to happy to help

parking is not designated to your room so we were unable to have the car right at our door . I have had recent surgery on my shoulder and was travelling with my elderly mother so having to cart luggage was a bit of a pain

Last minute booking due to convenience of location to Toowoomba hospital. They were able to accommodate last minute booking and further extension requests the following day. Rooms are kept very clean and staff were very welcoming.

While there is a microwave and fridge there is unfortunately no cutlery other than spoons for coffee. Remember to get cutlery for whatever you plan to eat :-)

There’s nothing fancy about Asters - it’s a no fuss, good value accommodation in South Toowoomba right around the corner from the hospital which is where we needed to be. But the attention to detail in all the rooms is fantastic. Firstly, they were absolutely spotless. Well appointed with everything you need, no corners cut, and lots of little details for convenience like cords tucked out of the way, switches taped to dressers for easy access, magnetic / Velcro remote holders, etc. Nothing was too much trouble for Ricky and Phil who were always smiling, super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Superb customer service. Nice cheap breakfast menu with everything you could need. Warm bedding, nice quality towels. Big, well kept, well appointment apartments and rooms. Would definitely stay again.

the location is great when attending appointments at the base hospital . I like the great options for dining across a quiet street

office was not open very frequently, couldn’t park car right outside room but the convenience of location outweighs this

This motel was fantastic, service was great. We were a later booking after hospital visit and the man I spoke to accommodated us no problems. Clean room, easy parking and fantastic location. Close to hospital and shopping centre.

Nice location. Walking distance to Toowoomba base hospital. Grill'D restaurant and Subway and other shops just 3 min walking from the property. Easy parking. Very clean and tidy room, spacious and comfortable bed. Friendly manager and staff. For feature appointments at the Toowoomba base hospital I will visit them again.

The staff were absolutely amazing and such down to earth people. The rooms have such a home like feel to them and the beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve found around Toowoomba hotels. 10/10, we ended up booking an extra night.

Close to Toowoomba Hospital for appts. Rooms quiet even though busy road outside!

A lack of cleaning in some areas eg. Utensil draw had crumbs, dirt ??? in the tray section. Lounge needs replacing, as all peeling vinyl & covered up with a sofa cover....TACKY! The room needed a bit of TLC!
