Oaks Toowoomba Hotel

I liked the location, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Appreciated the bathroom accessories as this stay was last minute and we didn't pack to stay overnight. Also liked the convenience of booking online. Our breakfast was great but thought there would have been more choices of premade food (fresh rolls) or pastries in the cabinet as I would have bought something there for our long drive back home.

Finding a carpark wasn't easy underneath the hotel as the first level was full. We luckily got out of the car & walked around to discover more parking another level down. Signage could have been better.

Large, modern, and pleasantly furnished room with a decent city skyline view from top floor (5). Comfortable bed and pillows with ample lighting options and blackout curtains. Spacious bathroom with a good rain shower. Bar fridge + tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Perfectly located just minutes walk to restaurants, shops, bars, and many other amenities. There's a lap pool, small gym, and cafe on-site. Staff were friendly - check in/out were quick and easy. Happily stay again.

$15 for parking seemed overpriced to me in a country city. I found plenty of street parking right outside the hotel or close by which was free overnight and 3 hour metered parking from 9am. There were mixed reviews about the breakfast, so I chose not to include it in my room price.

Good location, facilities and most staff. Nicholas excellent in customer relations. Breakfast choices, quality and service very good.

It would be rated excellent if not for poor room servicing and ignoring 'Make up room' put on door each day only to find on return that the room was not cleaned. When phoned to reception to complain told nonsense that beds being made up, etc not provided. That receptionist (Male, not Nicholas) should read the hotel's own website which clearly says beds are made, rubbish removed etc etc.

didn't have breakfast but the location was perfect to our needs staff were very efficient and pleasantly friendly they attended our requests immediatlely

we were at first in a disability unit the shower created a very wet floor and made it unacceptablely slippery and dangerous as the water spread out over the entire bathroom we asked to be moved and the staff did not hesitate to meet our request they were fantastic not sure why we were put in this room as we had booked the room for some time and were staying for 3 nights other than this it is a very nice Hotel

Excellent place to stay in the centre of Toowoomba. Ask for a quiet room if staying Fri or Sat night as the pub behind has bands till 11.30pm and noisy. Walked to grand Central shopping, Queens Park, Cobb museum. The room was lovely, comfy bed and nice bathroom. The building is fairly new. Lovely staff at reception, open 24hrs , very welcoming. We parked our car on site, there was an extra charge of $10 a night but we got a special on the room so worked out cheaper and better than others in the area. There is a lane beside the hotel to the next street. We ate at Dee's kitchen Thai in that street, excellent food, huge serves. We took home dinner for another night. Other excellent place to eat is Turkish restaurant in Margaret St end of the hotel street, must book, best food we have had on this trip.

The noisy pub behind on Sat night they had a band and the beer garden was near our room. Ask for a quiet room if staying Fri or Sat night. They also had a band Sun afternoon but quiet that night. Our room was on the right of the building, might not be bad on the left or front. Otherwise liked everything about the hotel and would stay again.

Fantastic room, with very comfortable bed and great pillows – it was very quiet so we slept extremely well. Loved having a balcony which allowed us to let fresh air in. Good-sized bathroom, and little kitchenette (with microwave and kettle) to make our own tea and coffee. Friendly, accommodating staff. Very central location (easy to find), with restaurants and cafes in close proximity (some only 50-100m away!). Gym and swimming pool also on-site (which we would have used if we had more time there!). Major shopping centre is a couple minutes walk away, with lots of retail shops and Woolworths, a bakery, fresh food store, amazing artisan donuts and sushi etc. which was a nice bonus.

The cafe on-site was undergoing construction, so it was pretty noisy in the lobby / busy there at times with tradies going in and out (though they were very friendly and polite!) but we weren't aware of this until we arrived. Would have been great if there was an option for an inclusive breakfast onsite (other than paid room service), but this might be available when the renovations are finished?

Lovely well-furnished room. The balcony would be nice in summer. Good location on Ruthven Street & easy walking access to shops, Central Mall & restaurants. Extremely comfortable bed. No noise from other rooms or passageway.

The very large TV screen was placed in a peculiar position, not in line with the beds. It was off-centre so in order to look at it straight on, one person lay on one bed & the other sat in a chair. Lying in bed to watch TV is one of the joys of going away. We found it strange.

Centre of town, nice room re design, comfortable, pretty good overall, room service from restaurant below was delicious.

Very expensive for facing a brick wall. Called ahead to enquire about room and was told they don’t give out that information? But some of the rooms face the street (where the flower carnival parade takes place), this would not have mattered if the rooms were much cheaper (for the worse ‘view’). Just very expensive. No ice trays in fridge, which was weird. Cleanliness was generally good but could have been a bit better, there was quite a bit of soap scum or something in the bathroom, idk. Also, the restaurant below was blaring, music and loud patrons, they probs had to yell to each other bc the music was so loud. It went very late, honestly, if the music wasn’t to my taste it would have been a bit problem.

Location in the city centre was fantastic - easy walk to the shops, restaurants and the theatre. Room was quiet and comfortable. Good sized TV with great selection of channels to choose from. Great shower with excellent water pressure.

Didn't realize parking wasn't included until check in and that secure parking was a (small) additional charge. When on the spot, of course you think you need parking, however in hindsight, given it was a weekend and after hours, street parking was plentiful and free.

Fabulous central city position. We had connecting rooms which was a great idea. The hotel restaurant had wonderful food. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds/pillows. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Fortunate to be able to secure paid parking as is very limited.

The view from 507/08 was non existent…into other apartments, so balcony wasted. The lounges looked great but were too firm and not comfortable . My companions like a lot of milk in the their tea and coffee so they don’t like the little uht milk containers/not enough and also no biscuits.
