Maria was an exceptional hostess who was happy to chat about the history of the Manor. She has restored the house beautifully and the furniture and art are well worth stopping and admiring. Breakfast was cooked by Maria and presented in the Breakfast room, the original ballroom, and there was an endless supply of snacks, tea and coffee. It was cool when we were there but we were not cold, and the lounge nook at the end of the breakfast room had an open fire which was very inviting. Well worth a stay here and we would definitely return. And don't forget to walk around the 3 acres of garden which compliment this lovely old home.
Nothing I can think of.

The property was delightful, both the grounds and the building. It has been renovated to a very high standard and in keeping with the original building. The host, Maria, was very hospitable and the breakfast was plentiful and cooked deliciously. There were also snacks and drinks available all day for guests. There were also a small group of resident pademelons who grazed on the lawn. It was located in a lovely part of Deloraine and the river. Deloraine is also a good base for touring and for a range of walks including to the edge of the western tiers wilderness regions. We had a fabulous stay.
Nothing that we didn't like

Maria was a wonderful host, attentive to our needs, and respectful of our privacy. She made us feel incredibly welcome showing us around upon arrival; and generously provided dinner which was not at all expected (and greatly appreciated). The room was beautiful, cosy and warm. My 8yo was ecstatic to see rabbits on the driveway, and we loved walking the grounds in the morning, meeting Apple the Sheep. Breakfast was delicious, and perfectly timed. Maria hosed off the ice from our car as we were leaving. It was the most wonderful first night on our Tasmanian adventure.

We loved the ambiance of the property. It was such a wonderful experience living in such a beautiful period home (Manor House) with all the fine furniture for a couple of days. Maria was an excellent host making sure our stay was so enjoyable. The breakfast was suburb, cleanliness extreme, very comfy, gardens a delight and.....and....and everything was first class.
Our short stay of two days

We loved our stay at Arcoona. The house and grounds are beautiful and grand but also homely. There are so many places to just sit and soak up the magic of the place, both inside the house and in the beautiful gardens. We loved the chooks, rabbits and pademelons. We also loved the sunsets from the veranda. The breakfast was excellent and over generous. There were lots of little extra touches included with the accommodation that made it feel more welcoming than other hotels. The location is great for walking to restaurants/pubs and the lovely Deloraine River walk. Maria was a great host, who was happy to share her knowledge or leave you be if that’s what you prefer. We stayed three nights and didn’t want to leave.

Maria, the owner, was very welcoming and does an incredible job running the manor. We received an upgrade to a suite, but were also able to use other formal areas in the house. The decor was incredible, both original features and new things that Maria added herself. The billiards room was fantastic! The gardens, beautiful to explore. You can choose the breakfast you want the night before and it is included in the room rate. It was huge and delicious! There was a book in our Arcoona suite which outlined the history of the property with photos, written by a previous owner - a fascinating read! We definitely recommend Arcoona Manor to anyone looking first wonderful and interesting accomodation in Deloraine.
Not a thing!! Loved everything!!

The rooms, host and extensive, beautiful and artfully decorated property and grounds were amazing! We especially liked that we were free to use the common rooms and facilities and to help ourselves to drinks and snacks - making it feel like it was our manor for a day! The room upgrade so that our rooms could be close together was a very pleasant and appreciated surprise. Had a nice time chatting with the host as well. Even the history and heritage of the building were interesting - read about the property itself and its artworks in books scattered throughout the property. =)

The beauty of this superbly restored residence and its lovely gardens. The warmth and comfort of the spaces that can be used by all the guests.

A grand manor house in a wonderful setting and a most generous host who caters for your every need. Grand is the word to describe this beautiful house built in the 1880s and retaining the original and beautiful stained glass windows, fireplaces, original billiard table baby grand piano and the gardens are romantic with many different areas to relax in. Superbly cooked breakfast with many choices of local fresh produce cooked by the delightful owner. The most comfortable bedcand modern bathroom.
