Outstanding service. Ben was the perfect host - personable, professional and made us feel so at home. The estate itself is stunning and our room was just lovely. We had the most wonderful time here and would happily go back.

The food was perhaps the only element we didn't enjoy. For the three course dinner, the soup was lovely, but the main (a Brazialian stew) was a bit of an odd choice, and the cherry pie fell well short of expectations. The wine/beer/spirits list, however, was good with many local selections available. For $60 for breakfast, we probably also expected something more than a small bowl of muesli and a small croissant each. There are a number of other places to eat in nearby villages but we found that most of those were closed mid-week when we visited.

The grounds are stunning, the golf course fabulous, the building beautiful old world charm. So tranquil, relaxing and picturesque. Been there before and will come back again in the future. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was very underwhelming. Even toast and some cold meats would have been nice. A continental breakfast that is mainly of sweet foods I don't regard as breakfast. There needs to be a bit more ambience. We kept asking for background music to be put on as it was almost awkwardly quiet.

Comfortable room, big bed. Delightful old building, and surrounds. But the highlight was the wonderful staff member who went above and beyond to help us. My partner left his wallet behind, and we rang when we were about half an hour away. At first whoever looked could not see it, but this girl then went and looked herself a bit more thoroughly and found it!! She rang us straight away, and we came back and were so thrilled so many thanks for her going the extra mile.

There was nothing provided in the room apart from a few teas and a coffee machine. No bar fridge or anything, as I guess they expect guests to eat in the restaurant there for breakfast and dinner, or buy wine etc from the bar there and perhaps play golf. As we were travelling, we had some things we wanted to keep cool and just expected a fridge at least. Quite a long drive to any shops or pubs etc.

Very special historical property and a privilege to be able to enjoy.

I am concerned about the ivy being allowed to grow up the ballistae as it will damage the precious wood. Also the grass surrounding the property and golf course needs to be sprayed with a herbicide that will kill the weeds as it is such a shame that a beautiful property is being invaded by the lack of attention to the this problem.

I was very impressed with the friendly staff both in organising our family stay before the event by phone and then the welcome when we arrived and the presentation of the building, the dinner and the golf facility. Thankyou so much for making our stay a memorable occasion.

We loved the english country manor feel of the property & the grounds. The three course evening meal was beautiful. The bathroom was spacious and the underfloor heating welcome although the weather was mild.

The room was a little on the cramped side, only one lounge chair for 2 people. The tea & coffee facilities were a little light on (more coffee pods & milk would be nice). More signage on the way in would be very helpful eg- where to park, where to turn to get to reception, etc.

The location was absolutely beautiful.

We as a family did not like the fact that you are a captive audience (no restaurants etc nearby) and you have to have a 2 course dinner minimum (ordered days in advance) & the only breakfast option was a $30 cooked breakfast, no continental option.

Setting was great, rolling hills, golf course.

Meals weren't up to scratch. Dinner was pre heated and rather expensive. Breakfast was overcooked bacon and coffee was luke warm.
