Room was clean, well presented, shower was amazing, great to be able to do self check in and out made arriving easy. The gardens were beautiful and will be happy to come and stay again. This amazing little place is so full of history and beauty, such a wonderful accommodation venue well done to the owners and staff
The only down fall was the restaurant not being open for dinner and having to travel else where nearby there should be updated places recommended in the rooms. The facility that isn't utilized currently would be an amazing asset to re-open to guests and the little town as we noticed there isn't many cafe or places to eat.

Lovely gardens, a real pleasure to just sit outside in the sun in the late afternoon and read. The French doors leading straight out into the gardens were a bonus. Excellent shower! Very pleasant cleaner and owner. Convenient location and interesting history.
Desperately need some more comfortable chairs in the garden. No lockable screen door on the French doors meant that, for security at night, the doors had to be shut and so the room became stuffy. Given that the property is very old, sound insulation is an inevitable problem, but a good night’s sleep is hard when one of the people in the next room coughs and snores all night.

Loved the chocolate for each guest on arrival. Great kingsized bed, very comfortable. Newly renovated bathroom, really large & practical. Loved the history of the Inn too.
I would love to see the dining area and parts of the Inn opened up to the public so guests could see the glory of the property. (We were in rooms out the back of the Inn.) It would have been nice to have dishwashing facilities in the room and maybe a small table, but it was nice to eat in the gardens which are currently being trimmed & tidied. We wish the owners success gaining council approval to re open dining & drinking facilities.

The Inn has beautiful gardens that are well maintained and the room we stayed in opened out onto them. The room was cozy, comfortable, and quiet. The communication from the owner was clear and proactive and it was a great place to stop for the night.
The bed was a little small and wasn't the most comfortable overall. A little extra room for preparing food would be helpful, but that is nitpicking!

The host and staff were very friendly. The Inn is beautiful and the rooms are nice. The gardens are lovely and it's perfect to have a walk through at night or sunrise. They are pet friendly which is great!!
The place was under renovations but you can't help that

Quaint and historical building with large garden surrounds.
Can be noisy with guests coming and going on the veranda. We were warned about the noisy possums, which we were ok with. If you did not take the time to read the compendium, guests may be unaware.

The location was just great. the garden was delightful and a shady retreat on a warm day. It was private and the room felt authentically historic. The new bathroom was lovely.
There could have been a little more room for making breakfast but it was manageable. The onsite restaurant that was available in the past would have been great but would be expensive to run.

Beautiful rural setting - the Inn itself is set on large, park-like grounds, with heaps of birdlife and animals. I saw a couple of cats, a domestic rabbit, and I could hear roosters a few houses over. My room also had french doors out onto a big grassy area, so if you have kids and you want somewhere for them to play away from the road, that would be perfect. The lighting in the afternoon is breathtaking! The room was clean. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom has been updated at some point, so you pretty much get all your creature comforts. I don't remember if there was a hairdryer so maybe worth packing one just in case, if you needed that. The owner was very reachable via text, so if you do have questions you should have no problems reaching him.
The wifi was unusable while I was here. Luckily I always have phone data so I just used my phone as a hotspot for my laptop (4G reception was pretty good, it never dropped out), so with this in mind I would not recommend relying on the wifi if you visit. No staff on premises, and I couldn't find any bins even though I walked all the way around to the front. So plan for this with regards to rubbish! I just took mine with me to throw in the bins at driver rest stops :-)

I have stayed here before and found it great. The Inn is set amongst beautiful gardens and has an interesting history. The room was comfortable and had doors opening onto the gardens. The location is good and communication is great with owner and manager.

On arrival the room was warm, they turned the heating on before we arrived. Then there were Compliments Chocolate on the beds along with clean towels. We travelled with two Staffy, Nigel put us in room 4 and have a beautiful garden for our dogs to rome around. Will definitely book again in the future
The only thing was the TV has bad reception.
