When one rents a place with budget in the title, one is a bit hesitant. But I will say, Elizabeth greeted us warmly, even helping us to our room. We had 3 twin size beds, so 2 for sleeping and 1 for our suitcases. The windows were lovely and the provided fan was a necessity. Our attached bath was clean and had everything we needed. Remember the word budget, so one might compare to a basic dorm room, but clean and comfortable. Any noise we heard was from outside, not from the motel.

Just noise from revelers on a Saturday night. Had to close a window and turn up our white noise :-)

Both of the front desk attendants were memorably-friendly, chatty, and helpful. They were the best part of staying at Pension Stoi - thank you! We were close to the train station, the bike rental store, and downtown. We thought we had booked a room with shared bathroom facilities, but were happy to have a private restroom/shower. It was quiet and clean. The honor-based snack/drink fridges added a welcoming, friendly vibe to the place.

We were very grateful for the small table and two chairs as well as the unexpected bathroom amenities. It would have been nice space for a full table for four to sit, but I feel bad even suggesting it because we were quite happy at Stoi.

very central location a few minutes walk to the main town center or tourist attractions the top of Innsbruck gondola is 10-15 mins walk away going through the old town or main plaza - amazing walk. everything is accessible next to the central train station so you have a lot of stores nearby. free parking on site but there’s only 4-5 spots so I guess on peak season it will be hard to get one. but if you have an electric car there’s an electric charging station next to it. the staff were amazing the reception was super friendly helpful and very enthusiastic somewhat like American customer service - very welcoming. they do daily housekeeping. the shared bathroom and shower is clean. the WiFi is fast.

not a big deal but I think the room heaters turns off automatically at night - maybe its a energy saving feature but I stayed at other hotels or accommodation that has the same thing late at night it is turned off. not a big deal for me I didn’t ask for it.

Very convenient location a few minutes' walk from the main station and bus terminus (line F connects to the airport in 20 minutes), and close to the old town and major attractions. Room was a good size, and nicely furnished and equipped for a "budget guesthouse". An honesty bar with a reasonable selection of drinks and snacks was provided. Owners were friendly and helpful. Secure storage was available for luggage after checkout until a connection to the airport later in the day.

The pension is situated cca 5 mins by walking from the central railway station. All main attractions are cca 10 mins by walking far from the pension. My room had its own bathroom and windows to a courtyard. The room was clean and spacious. Even if the weather was hot, the room was pleasantly cool. The staff was very friendly, personally introduced me to the room, and gave tips on sightseeing.

The shower could be more spacious. The fridge in the room would be also great.

The room, quadruple, was spacious and had ensuite. Good for a family of two adults and two kids. Met two people in the staff, one woman that was tired and quite rude and one young guy that was great and welcoming. Good price compared to a lot of other hotels in Innsbruck

A bit dodgy outside the hotel, drunk and high people hanging around. But just a street or two down was nice so very good location close to old part of Innsbruck. No elevator and no fridge in the room.

The boss of the pension was exceptionally hospitable. The TV wasn’t working on the night we checked in, he came by in the morning to fix it. The counter young lady from Canada was very helpful as well, we went to her various times to borrow charger, bottle opener and kettle. She has been polite to serve us and answered our questions on city visits around Innsbruck. The boss saw that we traveled with 2 kids, 3 & 6 yo and he was kind to offer them 2 bottles of juices in the 2nd morning when he saw them. However my 3 yo dropped and the bottle a min later causing a mess, at that moment we thought he disappeared to get the mop but to our surprised he reappeared in secs with a 2nd bottle for her. My kids loved him. We stayed 3 nights with our kids and everything was well. Lots of food and supermarkets around. Walking distance to attractions, bus, train and cable car stations.

The hotel, as the name implies, is a no-frills offering right in the centre of Innsbruck. However, unlike so many current 'no frills' hotel there were human beings on the premises to welcome, assist and advise. Indeed staff were very accommodating and helpful. Although I had not asked for a ground-floor room someone had obviously noted my age and allocated one to me. My departure was on the day after the rail accident on the Munich/Garmish/Innsbruck line and the duty receptionist went out of her way to assist me in contacting my next stopover in Munich to warn them of a possible delay in arriving. The room was very pleasant and quiet and was adequately furnished and presented.

On the map the hotel looked easy to find from Innsbruck Hbf and there were actually direction signs on the main street. The address is listed as being on the main street but the entrance is actually tucked away in the middle of a little side street and I walked past the end of that street twice before spotting the hotel's external signage. A slightly more detailed description on the Booking.com website of how to find Pension Stoi on foot would be useful.

The location was perfect. Two minutes walk from the main train station and then less than ten minutes walk into the centre of the old town. It was also a three minute walk to the bus stop that goes directly to the airport. The rooms were clean and well cared for. The staff were attentive.

The room is basic, as described, so don't expect luxury but for the price it is reasonably comfortable.

The location was convenient. We were in the heart of the city and able to walk to the Old City area. The staff was extrememly helpful and accomodating. The rooms were a great value and adequately furnished.

The only real complaint is that the towels and linens were really rough and scratchy. It was not that big deal for a night or two. I would recommend this property.
