Awesome location, walking distance from all old city tourist points. Hotel is heritage look, very good staff and they helped with all requests like charger adapter, taxi, luggage, late check-out, nearby rooms etc.. Breakfast is traditional Turkish and quite good. Nothing to complain really Hamaam inside hotel is good, though sauna was not working, the privacy and convenience was a boon.

Just like the other reviews some bathrooms have some periodical bad smell from drainage. But they have put some auto freshener dispensers. Guess nothing much can be done more. But the bathrooms are spacious, clean and well maintained.

We stayed in Presidential Palace, such a spacious and luxorious room. Great value for what you pay. The room in reality is sparkling clean, antique furniture, looks way better than photos. Its more like King and Queen suite, perfect for couples. In room private Jaccuzzi is the main highlight of the room. Perfect for relaxing after long walks exploring the city. All staff are extremely polite and helpful. Building is clean and well maintained. Elevator available. Location is right at the entrance of old city gates. Hotel is in the center point between old city and fountain square, making both accessible with few steps.

Nothing major. Some constructive comments for hotel management to look at: - Improve breakfast food quality - Light smell coming from the bathroom upon flushing the toilet. - Ensuite shower room works, but needs slight maintainence

Our stay at Shah Place Hotel was amazing. The staff at check in Ali was very accommodative and welcoming. We were upgraded to a superior room as our originaly booked room had a smell issue. They were quickly addressed the issue by upgrading us. At the time of check out we requested for an extension and even that was agreed. Overall very happy with the stay, excellent location and would highly recommend everyone to stay here.

Initially there was an issue with drainage smell in the room but that was immediately addressed.

Location is perfect, right in the old town, surrounded by good restaurants and monuments. The staff is very nice, a special thank you for the breakfast manager, always very kind and attentive. The Hotel provided the airport transfer and it was well organized and punctual. The room and bathroom had a very good size. Soundproofing is amazing.

It was not my first stay at this hotel - and I really enjoyed the stay again. The location in the heart of the old town is just amazing as well as the historical building. We had a suite with plenty of space and it was very comfortable. The pick-up service from the airport is also very recommendable as well as the visit of the sauna + turkish bath in combination with a massage from Zeinab, which my girlfriend and me both highly enjoyed.

The breakfast - what is so difficult about it! Poor selection of food, no nice presentation, mediocre service...

An amazing hotel located inside the old town walls, so you walk out right into the history of Baku. Very beautiful inside, Clean, new bathrooms. Amazing, helpful and attentive staff, who helped us in every little details. Helped us to organize a trip to Naftalan to bath in crude oil, Assisted us with all sorts of advices, gave us tips what to visit. Multilingual all. Would definitely return to that hotel and would recommend to all my friends. My special thanks goes to Head of Front Office Vusal and his colleague Gunay at the reception as well as Aladdin and Mirza at the restaurant. We felt at home in this hotel, its employees made us feel very comfortable. Baku is an amazing metropol with fantastic mix of history and modern, stunning architecture! And the food is just gorgeous! We willbe back!
