We had a wonderful experience staying here - the location made for a quiet and peaceful nights sleep while being in walking distance of the city centre. The host was welcoming and extremely helpful, speaking many languages to accomodate for all his guests and providing in depth knowledge of the local area. The room itself was very clean, with a comfortable bed and an ensuite with great water pressure in the shower. The wifi connection was really strong as well! Breakfast every morning was delicious, in the peaceful conservatory with views of the garden. Parking on the premises made for a stress-free stay. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to our friends and family.

The hotel was in a lovely location with safe off road parking. The owner hans could not have done enough for us. He gave us a rundown of how things worked and our room was lovely. Beautiful old wooden furniture and an amazing bath. The bed was huge and i can honestly say i had the best nights sleep the first night in a long time. The breakfast was lovely and lots of choice. Very central to bruge and will definitely be staying there again.

This is purely a british thing and i understand europe does things different to our hotels. But i would have liked a kettle. Next time i will take my travel kettle. And an extra pillow each would have been nice as only one provided. But to be fair we did not ask so if we had maybe they would have been provided. On the second night we had very noisy guests in the room above us that stopped us sleeping. But again this was not the owners fault.

A lovely little authentic hotel set in a beautiful setting. There was parking available so we left the car inthe carpark for our 4 night stay. We caught the bus into Bruges and usually enjoyed the walk back after dinner in the evenings. Hans was the perfect host, always keen to help during our stay. He served a very good continental breakfast. If we return to the beautiful city of Bruges we would love to stay there again. It was very peaceful so we slept well. The ensuite had a very good shower and didnt spray outside the cubicle like we have experienced in many hotels previously. There were some tables and chairs in the garden if you wanted to sit outside. I would recommend this hotel as it was an excellent find.

Hans was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. He had plenty of advice about where to go for a good meal and directions to the main square. The room was a really good size for the 3 of us. We had a very comfortable bed each so had a fantastic nights sleep after a wonderful evening spent in Bruges. Breakfast was just enough. With a good selection to choose from, there was something for everyone. A good start to the day. We have fallen in love with Bruge. When we come back, we will definitely be staying here.

There is nothing I would change.

The location and parking is just what we wanted, a really nice room with a good nights sleep and a good breakfast to start the following day.

There is nothing we didn't really like, so this is not a negative comment, the owner does supply Tea and Cofffee, however at night I did not want to disturb him, however a kettle in the room can be helpful.

Room was very big and comfy, entire apartment. Gasthof is located in a very quiet part of the city. City center is reachable easy with pleasent walk which last around 15 minutes. Host provided us with all the informations needed.

Although a praised quiet surrounding of the Gasthof earlier, it would be very nice if there will be some, at least, elevator music during breakfast.

This is a well run guest house. It’s located about a 15-20 mins walk from Bruges centre in a quiet residential area with a Carrefour, cafe and bistro nearby. Hans the owner was extremely helpful and made us feel at home from our arrival. As we were driving we needed free parking and although Bruges was our main destination, we wanted visite De Haan on the coast and Sluis in the Netherlands, both of which are around 40 mins drive, so Gasthof Groenhove was a good choice for us to stay. All in all pretty good value.

We were welcomed with a smile even we arrived late, the room was fantastic with an excellent view of the gardens and very clean and comfortable, breakfast continental with everything you can wish at the table with good quality.

Nothing to appoint apart for the tourist charge demand by the government of 4 euros per person a day.

Excellent family room. Most family rooms we book seem to be all put in one room but this had main room with massive bed and single and another room with 2 single beds before decent shower room. Good location and staff excellent. Would recommend and will book again when we return

Nothing. Excellent place to stay

We were welcomed very warmly by Hans to his charming home when we stayed for three nights to enable us to explore Bruges. It was also very convenient to catch the No.60 bus into the centre of the city from the top of the road, where also at the top of the road you could find a couple of restaurants serving very tasty food.
