The key is how to reach it: although it is "airport area", it is really in an office park zone and about 5KM away from the airport. So if you drive a car, plenty of parking space and easy to reach. If you just arrived from the airport, and don't want to take a taxi, here is how to reach it: outside the arriving zone door of Brussels airport, there are bus platforms. You can buy a ticket at the platform with 2.5 euro (careful, NOT the 7.5 euro ticket machine for tram 12 to the city center). Then you look for bus 272. This route has 3 buses per hour during weekdays, and once an hour during weekend. It takes about 15 minutes to go to the stop "Diegem Bessenveld", which is almost at the hotel's door (50 meters away). If you have a credit/debit card with touchless payment function, you can also buy the ticket on bus. If not, you need to buy two tickets (one for going there, the other back) at the airport platform ticket machine.

There is a simple bar/cafe at the ground floor at the Ibis Comfort hotel next door. Otherwise, the nearby dinning choices are limited.

I stayed there twice. First, when I arrived in Belgium from the US and knew I would be too tired to start driving a rental car. The second time was at the end of my trip and I had an early flight. The room is a small, no nonsense, straightforward space with all the basic needs. I loved the open fields out my window. It had wifi and was quiet. The reception staff was a bit English challenged but we made it through. There is no shuttle to/from the airport. I took a taxi both ways, two times, with prices ranging from 19-23 Euros. This increases the overall cost of the stay. The only reasonably priced hotel in the area with an airport shuttle stopped before I would have arrived and started after I needed to leave. The front desk was helpful to call a taxi 24 hours. I would definitely stay there again in a similar situation.

I wish there had been an airport shuttle

CLose to the airport, relatively easy to get even late at night which was my case. It`s an Ibis Budget, so you get the usual stuff, nothing outstanding, but enough for the one night I had to spend there. Nice view from my window though! There is no AC in the room, so for very hot days I'd stay away from it and opt for a better place.

Could be cheaper, for sure, but I guess it`s the expected for a city like Brussels and an 'airport hotel'. A shuttle service would be welcomed considering there is a `normal' Ibis there as well, but it's ok.

Staff at front desk very helpful with bus and taxi information. Bus stop very conveniently located and easy, quick access to airport.

I did not like having to walk thru the smokers standing right outside the main entry. I was standing outside waiting and i had to move outside of the glassed in area because the smokers were all standing there. There should be a large sign posted right there to tell smokers they could not stand there. All of your customers will be subjected to the smell of cigarettes when entering your lobby. Not at all appropriate!!

Room was basic but comfortable and we lacked nothing. Breakfast was excellent and we could book it on the morning we needed it. The location is super for getting to town since there's a bus stop just across the road and a bus service every half hour. Plus the train stop is just ten minutes walk to Diegham to take you right down to the central station. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were able to get an evening meal at the Ibis across the car park. Very good.

Nothing to put here.

Easy check in Excellent staff Breakfast great value, plenty of choice Clean room, with towels changed daily Little restaurant next door Great location near public transport

We were on the 5th floor, so room naturally warm. Room was stuffy as window only opened a very small amount. Air con wasn't switched on. Would definitely struggle with heat if it was the summer. The walk from the main road was uneven and muddy in parts. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The neighbouring building was residential and the noise level did increase as the drinks flowed! We did ask twice for extra pillows but never received them.

We regularly stay at the Ibis Budget when we're passing through Brussels. It's affordable and predictable and easy to get to from the highway, has secure on site parking (which you have to pay for) and is also dog friendly. This time we stayed on the 4th floor, which is better maintained than the ground floor where we usually stay. Maybe they are progressively upgrading the painting and maintenance after the COVID years? Brussels was experiencing a heatwave when we stayed, and the temperature was in the 30s, even in the evening. Despite the heat and humidity outside, the room was still comfortably cool.

Conveniently located for us to catch an early morning flight. This hotel provided a quick overnight stop and was just enough for us to freshen up and rest.

Parking was a little tight, the garage was full and we got the last available spot at the edge of the property, it would have been quite inconvenient if we hadn't found parking at all as there aren't any other options in the area.

12 euros for 24 hrs parking is a bit high. Its 20% of the room cost. does not add up. it dilutes the whole cost effective stay.

It is convenient for one night stay before / after a flight. Nothing special, like the name suggests, it is a budget hotel. The room is small and because of the location it is noisy, too, but that is something everyone knows prior to the booking already. No restaurants nearby, but Uber Eats and Takeaway.com serve well. Breakfast was better than I expected: coffee, bread, cold cuts and spreads. I would have hoped something fresh (green) other than fruits, too, but definitely worth the money if you have time to have a breakfast. Wifi worked well and saved the evening.

Tram takes you quite near, otherwise the loccation works ok. The floor in my room had some dark spots which would come out if cleaner would just scratch them a bit. Also e.g. the plastic chairs were covered with crumbs by the previous (or before that?) guests. There was no air conditioning which I didn't check in advance, so it was a bit hot. You could open the window and some black dirt fell down. During night you could not keep the window open for obvious reasons.
