Hampton by Hilton Ottawa

The room was clean and had plenty of space for my family of four. It also included 55 inch tv with kids shows as well. The room includes iron, hair dryer, coffee maker and a fridge. They have free as well as paid Wi-Fi service. For us free option was good enough. Very good breakfast with plenty to choose from. It also has a complementary 24/7 coffee at the lobby. My family enjoyed indoor swimming. It includes gym as well. Hotel also contains laundry washer and dryer as paid service. It has under ground and outside free parking which was a big bonus for my multiple day stay.

During breakfast, one day the juice and water dispenser machine was working but the next day it broke. Because of which I had to bring water from my room for the kids during the rush hour at the elevator. It would be nice if they could add one more dispenser to avoid such situation and comfort for the guest.

Our room was one of the cleanest we've stayed in in a long time, and so were all the shared spaces. Cleaning team does a really great job! In fact, every staff we interacted with was very nice and caring. We loved how spacious was our room, lots of natural light (but the curtains bloked it perfectly in the morning), the bed was very comfortable and we appreciated having a fridge and a microwave. We requested a quiet room, far from the elevator and they were able to provide it. The fitness room was great and the pool very clean also. You can refill your water bottle near the front desk, and there is complimentary coffee/tea at all time (even decaf!). We really liked having the parking included, it was convenient and easy to find a spot.

Complimentary breakfast was OK, we just wished that there would be more fruit options! And maybe cut on the plastic and paper too ;)

The morning staff was absolutely amazing, the ladies that did breakfast has left such a warm stamp on our hearts, we'd come back just for them!

Very disappointed with the night staff at the front desk! We had a situation where young kids fell asleep with the top lock on so the key card couldn't open the room. When we went downstairs to ask for help, like someone with a master key to help us open the door. The lady basically told us that the only way to open that door (& even during an emergency) was to have to break down the door, which seems unrealistic! 20 minutes later, of moms panicking, a maintenance worker came up to open it with his master key..........how could the lady at the front desk wasn't able to help us out?! Because of this, I'd definitely question coming back again!

It was so spacious and near Downtown which is just a train ride and 15min walk. So happy I booked it!! Overall, our stay was really great and enjoyed Canada Day with Hampton Inn!

The only thing that I think they can improve is 1.) the buffet breakfast location. It was in a tiny space near the lobby knowing that there will be a lot of guests. It was too crowded bec it was a holiday. I think they can so so much better than that and last is 2.) the shower. I think they need to fix something about it, maybe change the nozzle cause i was so shocked when I opened it and flashed thorigh my entire face with a full force on..

Almost everything was great! It was sparkly clean, everyone from the staff was very friendly. Great number of mirrors with the good lighting, which is very important. Great number of outlets, which is equally important. A nice touch is a night light fixture in the washroom. Underground parking is a great thing as well. Always. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel.

The mattress was too soft for our liking. A switch from shower to a tap is a little too hard. A window cannot be opened. And we would prefer a bigger night table next to the beds. These 4 things were less great.

At check-in, she saw me with 4 kids and put us by the pool! Smart thinking! Breakfast had good choices every day for the kids not to get bored. Love the texts to see how it's going, I could send a text asking for garbage and dirty towel pick up.

More fresh fruit options at breakfast would be nice. Had issues getting towels. Registered 5 people to our room and only had 4 towels. Front desk told us there were towels at the pool. I asked for 2 to be left after a spruce up of the room and we didn't get any. So we used from the pool and returned them to pool hamper.

Great breakfast. Spacious and quiet room. Clean bathroom. Very friendly staff

The smoking area just outside the lobby! Poor staff at the reception, they have to breathe in smoke every time the door opens! And if you are unlucky enough to be at the lobby while people are smoking outside, and the door opens, you breathe in the smoke too. This should be looked at. Smoking is very detrimental to anyone's health. They should move the smoking area away from the entrance or move it at the back, or better yet, no smoking around the premises!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, comfortable and super clean with lots of light during the day and can be darkened at night for better sleep (shades). It has also some convenient amenities as small refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine. We had a room on the 4th floor where you can see the trees. Breakfast is served from 6 am until 10 pm which is very convenient. It is included in the room rate and is pretty varied. There is a laundry space in the corridor, vending machines and ice maker. Hotel location is great for us because it is 20 min from the airport and 20 min from the city center. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, but with good access to main roads. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

just a big problem with breakfast, I think the hotel needs to work on breakfast because so many guests did not like breakfast because the urine was nothing to eat, you can serve some salads or something fresh cooked, we didn’t even know what to eat for breakfast and went to the restaurant to breakfast which is very strange, if I paid money for the hotel in the kotroy was breakfast, then I would like to have breakfast there
