Cleanliness, bottom floor room, convenient parking, large vanity top, hair dryer, rack with hangers to hang clothes, luggage racks, fridge, micro-wave, ironing board with iron, decent bed and clean linen. Basically, all the essentials for a three day stay. Additionally, a big factor for us was location and price. It left us with more money for great meals and not spending a lot for our bed. When we left, I forgot my laptop but they called about 45 minutes after about it. I understand the delay but they left no voice mail. I called them back and found out. They also emailed me about the laptop but I might not have seen that until I got home and we live a couple hundred miles away. All in all, we will return and recommend it for basic accommodations.

I can't really think of much other than a continental breakfast but Covid is probably responsible for that. It isn't the Hilton but good value for your money.

Spacious, well-equipped rooms. The place itself is within walking distance (~15 minutes walk) to nearest MST Trolley bus stop that gets you to the Aquarium for free.

No air conditioning in the room so it was really stuffy in the evenings. Fortunately airing the room briefly solves this. It’s also a bit of a shame that the pool is closed.

A convenient located hotel with all expected features. Just half a block away there's a nice Vietnamese restaurant Chopsticks. Also bus connections are available right in front. Look for the CassStreet stop. Staying for several days buy a weekly pass.

There couldd have been better lightning in the room.

Honestly everything was great. For the price we didn't expect it to be perfect but it did surpass our expectations. Plenty of parking, quiet, loved the patio setup and the room was clean.

Bath tub was the only downside to me. Because I have kids and they take baths there were paint chip particles floating in the bathtub when giving my children a bath.

Very quiet in spite of busy road outside. Excellent wi-fi reception. Could park adjacent to room. One of the best showers I've had for a long time. Very helpful desk staff.

Wonky bedside lamp, quite a distance from most food and beach facilities, but that's probably reflected in price. This is a fast road an entrance could be more clearl marked.

It was a great room, with all the necessities you need. Had a balcony too, though did not have the time to enjoy it. Bed was comfy, seemed clean, had hairdryer and quite spacious for one person for sure. Had free parking spots as well inside the property , though you can also park on the streetside too.

Good location, safe neighbourhood within walking distance of the centre. Would recommend a stay at Monterey for a couple of days and go on a whale watching boat trip, fantastic three hour trip and you get to see whales and dolphins as well as seals and sea otters.

No internet until day two of my visit after pestering staff in reception.

Fantastic owners/managers. We had a noisy neighbor upstairs and they kindly let us check out another room and move. Very kind and accommodating. Also great location and love all the flowers/plants.

Confused as to why the hot tub and pool are still closed yet still full of water all these years since Covid.

Spacious room with swimming pool in the backyard that is accessible from each room. many parking spots right in front of the rooms. Check-in and -out were easy. (Fast-food) restaurants in vicinity. Ther is no AC in the room but that was written everywhere. Very cheap price for the room!

Might be problematic in hot summer without AC.

Perfect location for my work. I have a monthly lecture in Monterey and another in pacific grove . The hotel is situated between the two. The staff are lovely and helpful.

The heating system can sometimes be balky. There’s no air conditioning though it’s seldom needed in Monterey.
