Most amazing experience ever Sep 2023 We have stayed at dozen of hotels all over the world This was on the top of the list of best stays ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of us, specially Mr. Ahmed Hegazy, he was really very helpful and friendly. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate our anniversary during the weekend. We had the most amazing experience from the check in to the check out. They called us a day before our arrival to plan our stay and decorated the room for us and we even got amazing give aways Thank you so much for marking a memorable celebration of our anniversary.

This hotel is proper 5 star service and 5 star food. I was blown away by both. I have never had such an amazing buffet before - it is an edible feast of beautifully crafted food. I appreciated that the hot food was propely hot and not luke warm like most buffets elswehere, and the level of care that went into the beautiful presentation. My compliments to the chefs and all the team. All of the hotel staff were super friendly and gave top service, the restaurant staff, bar, beach, room cleaners and reception all did a stella job and are an asset to the hotel. The room cleaner made beautiful decorations each day and the beach staff gave great service finding a sunbed each day and bringing drinks. The beach is lovely, good snorkelling, comfy sunbeds, not too noisey. I really like my room on the back with a balcony looking out west to the desert and the beautiful sunsets in the evening. I also like that this hotel is making a conscious effort to be environmentally sustainable - well done. It was also nice to see some female staff, a rare thing in Egyptian hotels - I hope you continue diversifying your staff and making opportunities available to women.

I had a bad experience with the Star windsurf centre down on the beach. I paid for 6 private windsurf lessons, but after the first 1 hour lesson they stopped teaching and just gave me 5 minutes lesson each time then left me. I felt like once they got their money they did not care anymore. And one of the instructors made me feel quite uncomfortable asking for additional money during the first lesson for himself in addition to what I already paid for the ticket. If they had given me good lessons I would have tipped them well at the end anyway, but like thiis they got nothing and I had a dissappointing experience.

The food at the resort was excellent. We were able to pick from various restaurants during the day, including the beach and pool bar, which was very convenient. The quality was very high and there was a great variety. Fares from Housekeeping was superb. He left the room immaculate every day, and also made the effort to create some wonderful towel animals - the elephant was my wife's favourite. I also want to thank George from Entertainment for being so hospitable. He recommended some great restaurants in Hurghada Marina and went out of his way to make our stay special. All of the F&B staff were very friendly and helpful. The coral reefs located directly on the beach of the hotel were magnificent. You can rent, or buy a snorkel set, and swim with all the beautiful fish without having to get on a boat. This was a lovely surprise.

In all honesty, the rooms are very dated. It is a shame that the standard from the rest of the hotel doesn't match the standard of the rooms. The A/C unit in the room was extremely loud. Luckily we didn't feel the need to use it during the night, however I can imagine this being very annoying for someone who might require it while sleeping. The blowdryer in the room was terrible. It kept stopping while my wife was doing her hair. I would recommend to bring your own to avoid this happening.

Short version: It was amazing. Long version: - Front office, check-in and reception: The moment we arrived, Mr. Ahmed Hegazy welcomed us and walked us to our suite while explaining everything we needed to have the perfect stay. Not only that, he kept following up with us every now and then to make sure that we’re satisfied with our stay. Thank you Mr. Hegazy ! Also, all the staff are the reception are very friendly and will offer all the help they can. - The Room: Our royal suite was like a dream, very spacious, it has all the accommodations needed and the has a huge terrace with your own private pool. The suite was kept clean everyday, the fruit basket and beverages were also replaced everyday. Big thanks to Mahmoud for taking care of our suite ! - Restaurants: The food is excellent, you will never get bored since everyday there is a different theme (Mediterranean, Gala, etc). The staff are just the best, they take care of the guests and make sure to answer all their requests with a big smile. I’d like to thank Salama, Mostapha, Chef Gomaa, Ahmed and Mohamed for making our stay memorable. - Pool and Beach: Both are very clean, you can get drinks while sitting near the pool or the beach, quick service and good cocktails. (Want to thank Mr Achraf and Wael for that)

I think the only tiny thing to mention is about the internet in the suite, The Wi-Fi reach is poor so we were using our mobile data while on the suite. It didn’t matter to us since we had a lot of data to use while in Egypt and we didn’t really care much about internet while on holidays.

From the moment we set foot in the hotel reception we instantly felt happy and comfortable ! After almost a 6 hour driver to reach Makadi Bay with 2 kids in the car.... it was nice to have a great welcome by the reception manager Mr. Ahmed Hegazy and a smooth check in, they paid attention to our details and gave us a ground floor room taking into consideration that we have kids and a stroller, they also gave us a room right next to our friends with easy access to the pool and the lovely pool bar and the amazing restaurant with one of the best buffets we have ever tried 😀 Our kids absolutely loved the shows that took place daily after dinner ! The pool is so clean and comfortable and everyone who works at the hotel is willing to help in any way and they're all so polite and welcoming ! We loved the walk to the beach and the beach itself and the shops area which is one minute away from the hotel is very cute 😍 need also to mention the snacks and drinks offered all day everywhere (restaurant / beach / pool) ! The hotel system is very organized and ensures 100% comfort and fun. The manager is always around making sure everyone was happy, so special thanks to Mr. Ahmed Hegazy and Mr. Ahmed Salah the room division manager. We had a lot of choices while booking but now we know that we made the right choice ! We definitely will stay there again and again. JAZ Makadi Star and Spa is our happy place 🙏😊 P.S. we also had a free day access to the aquapark which is 5 mins away from the hotel with also free snacks and drinks and the kids really enjoyed! AND! The last day we could book dinner at any restaurant of our choice so it was nice to go out for a change. We picked a restaurant called Aqua (Mediterranean food) and the food was also great !

Your wish is our pleasure is the theme of this fantastic hotel.From the moment of our arrival to the last minute before leaving for the airport Mr Ahmed Hegazy has been with us in every step,not only making sure we were having the best time possible,but also going above & beyond to offer every comfort we could possibly wish for.He offered us a room to relax in due to arriving early until our suite was ready(which was ready exactly on time).Knowing that we have a late flight he immediately offered us complimentary late extended check out & full use of the hotel & dinner.We can't thank him enough for the endless big & small acts of hospitality & sincerity.This trip has been beyond our already high expectations because of him & his amazing staff who tirelessly work to make sure that each guest feels incredibly special,taken care of personally & have their needs met instantly.As for the hotel,amazingly luxourious with incredible standards of cleanliness & maintenace,extremely well kept with countless lovely touches.The Royal Suite with pool was DIVINE,more amazing & luxourious than the pictures.The room is filled with gestures of hospitality,perfectly clean,glorious & comfortable bed,huge bathroom & private pool area was irresistably beautiful.We were truly having the time of our lives & extended our stay.The food was delicious,fresh & very well prepared,friendly & attentive waiters.The beach was so amazing,crystal clear clean water & sandy beach,comfortable clean seating & continuous service.We felt continously spoilt,from complimentary breakfast in bed,free restaurant dinner, any requests like candlight dinners,room decoration, complimentary cake & so much more.Wished we could stay longer to try everything they offered.We can't wait to come again with our son as the hotel is also very kid friendly with many activities,a small pool,kids club,games,aqua,kids menus,night kids dj.

The wifi was a bit patchy but was fast when working, other than that everything was more than perfect. We really can't thank Mr. Ahmed Hegazy & his staff enough,they elevated our stay to another level.

The place is very nice and facilities are very convenient Rooms very spacious Staff are very helpful and friendly We arrived 9:15 they asked us to join the dinner and rest then checkin later My elder daughter 18th birthday was on the 3rd day of our stay the hotel did great celebration for her with room decoration and decorations in breakfast lunch and dinner on our table together with a bottle of champagne and birthday cake. Over all great experience We had great memories and definitely we are returning back.

1) huge variety of food at breakfast and dinner. 2) free Egyptian wine with dinner. 3) nice environment with extremely well kept gardens. 4) Premier League football on TV. 5) entertainment in the bar after the evening meal. 6) nice view of the desert from our room.

1) the plug in our basin didn't work properly. Neither did the bedroom curtain. 2) its basically a package holiday hotel for German tourists. We were among the few non-Germans. 3) there is not much to do in the area other than relax and snorkel. 4) we couldn't get the air-conditioning to make the room warmer.

Thank you for Mohamed for looking after us .We only can praise the selection and quality of the buffet.It was absolutely amazing ! The front of house really friendly but all the time professional and go over and beyod. Housekeeping department and team was exceptional. Great location and the animation team did an awesome job to organise entertaiment for every day. We'll be back no question !
