The location was great, close enough to walk into the old, historic part of the city. This motel is spread out on a fair sized piece of land with a large open area in the middle with a beautiful and historic oak tree in the centre. The trolley tours come through several times an hour and describe the history of the tree to the passengers. It adds a lovely tone and feels like "Old St. Augustine". The staff were very friendly and the place is well kept although quite old and outdated; that's part of its charm. The pool was clean and a pleasant place to sit. the breakfast was a very good, well stocked, standard motel buffet. Good value. We'd stay again.

Everything was great and met my expectations. What exceeded my expectations was the breakfast. I was expecting continental breakfast, pastries and drink, but I got a 'mini buffet' instead. I really enjoyed my stay there. I have been there many times when it was Howard Johnson and the name change did not make any difference to me, except for the breakfast. The hotel is located in the midst of mostly all the attractions. Another highlight is that a trolly stop is right Infront of the hotel, so convenient. I have taken many people there years ago and still continue to visit the hotel. I love it.

There wasn't anything not to like, to me. All the amenities were what I expected for my room.

Loved the convenience of the location. We could walk to the historic St. Augustine streets (it was about a 20 minute walk to them) The bathroom was very nice. Big shower, nice mirror with a ring of light around it. Bed was comfy, my only gripe is that I wish the pillows were wider and more comfortable. They were like square and not very plush. The room was spacious.

I felt like the floors weren’t as clean as they should have been. I felt like my feet were getting kinda dirty when I was walking around barefoot. The floor is a dark gray color so dirt doesn’t easily show, which is probably why it’s not as easy to tell if they’re truly clean or not. It wasn’t super bad or anything.

This was good for a short stay, you can tell they've update the rooms. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. The night time atmosphere outside was wonderful. It was great for the two days we needed it and within walking distance to the main historic distractions, if you don't mind getting in some steps. The staff were very friendly! Breakfast was typical of hotel stays but was good and there was a good variety.

The top bed cover was dirty from being tucked under neath the mattress. The bed was super creaking, the room was a little cramped.

Regular American motel but in Spanish style. Good value for it’s money, but nothing special

We were unable to use hotel parking after our checkout. That was disappointed moment for us.

Rooms were spacious, modern, clean and beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent! The Fountain of Youth is close by. Historic downtown is within walking distance. Took us about 10 min to walk. The Old Jail attraction is also within walking distance. The trolly tolickets can be purchased on property. Trolley does come on property as a stop for the historical oak tree named Old Senator, which is over 650 yrs old.. Grounds are beautifully designed with sitting areas which are lit at night. Great outdoor pool. We will definitely come back! Strongly recommend this place for the value you receive.

Breakfast was very good the person taking care of the guest very polite. I like how the location was so close to the Fountain of Youth and the beach.

I was impress that the staff at the front desk of the hotel, at the time we ask a little information about the Fountain of Youth park that is located so close to the hotel, the answer was: I have never bean there so I can not tell you, I was very impress. I suggest for the hotel to pay $20.00 for the entrance and make your front desk personal know a little bit about their area, this is a tourist attraction they are all connected in some way, for the good of the city. Knowledge is power.

Convenient, close to everything...really close to places of interest like museums, the fort, and restaurants...Rooms are comfortable and clean.

I like everything except I suggest you guys get some paper plates and plasticware. Because we bought food cuz we were tired to wait (holiday weekend at the restaurant)..so my husband and me got some bbq..and that place did not provide us those...I have to run to the office and this nice front desk lady gave us some. Other than that, I recommend this hotel! Lots of parking space.. cool! And also..you just get the guide book and trust me, you don't need to move your car to go places..cuz everything is close to this hotel!😉😊

We ahd a great stay, the pool area was great. Our room did not get made up unitl the evening. I know the staff were working hard to get the rooms done and they were very nice, but by the time they came all they did was take away the trash and bring new towels. We really needed the floors mopped.

It's an old historic motel that has been renovated but the AC units were in need up upgrades and the doors could use some attention. There were quite a few rusty items, the ice machine, railings ect. I know florida hot and humid but appearance is everything.

The property is a charming reminder of the age of motels. However, the updates have given the property and interior a modern facelift. The rooms are airy and have their own AC units. You can park directly in front of your room, which is incredibly convenient. The pool is salt water and my teens loved it! The included breakfast was wonderful. So close to attractions and easy pickup for the trolley tour. The staff were so friendly and helped us with everything! There are several good restaurants in walking distance. We kissed under the Old Senator (famous tree), so our marriage will be further blessed! Cannot say enough about our experience!!
