The staff was very accommodating; however, they were understaffed. They all seemed to have multiple tasks to perform, which can lead to not a satisfying customer outcome.

No on checked to make sure remotes were working when they cleaned the room. As a result needed to go to desk clerk to get new remote. . . . the problem was, someone took the batteries from the remote already in the room. The floors could have been swept better. Also, when we went to check out at 6:00 a.m., the breakfast room was not set up. It took asking the desk clerk when breakfast was available . . . HE then started getting it ready. Don't know if someone did not show up or he was late getting started; so, it took another 15-20 minutes before breakfast was available.

Breakfast was OK. Ample and a clean room. Evening desk clerk was very accommodating when we could not get the TV to work.

Surprised that the day-time desk clerk did not know where "The Tail of the Dragon" (Hgwy. 129) was. It's a destination for bikers and car enthusiasts from all around the USA. This was the reason for choosing the motel in the first place. Candidly, Booking.com only indicated it was "within 10 miles" of The Tail, which, while true, was a bit of a hide-and-seek to find without the local help I assumed I'd get (this, not necessarily the fault of the motel but...).

convenient, friendly and helpful staff. good breakfast. community green space behind hotel allowed daily nature walks. restaurants nearby.

not told at checkin that we would not have daily towel check and trash removal. since handicapped shower floods floor, needed more towels. Staff gladly got towels for us. learned to place trash cans outside door in am to get daily trash removal. if we had been told at checkin or had note in room, our stay would have had a smoother start.

We liked everything. We kicked off our vacation here for 2 nights and couldnt be more pleased. We will be back next year for sure. Pool is nice,breakfast is good. We arrived early after driving 13 hours and they bent over backwards to allow us to check in early. The staff is awesome.

Exceptional staff. Amber greeted us with a smile and a happy "how can I help you?" when we walked into the lobby. Gulli and Ashley later helped us assist a fellow traveler who was at a difficult time in their life. The facility and room were clean and in order. The breakfast exceeded my expectations with biscuits and gravy.

The bed was too soft for my old, injured back.

We booked for 4 nights, but my family member was released from UT Medical Center a day sooner than expected, the owner was kind enough not to charge us a full nights stay for leaving early. This was much appreciated and wasn’t something he had to do, considering it was Memorial Day weekend.

Breakfast was limited

I was coming from out of state - about a 10 hour commute and left after work I called ahead to be sure that I could check in prior to the checkin time and was assured that I could be accommodated - the front desk staff was nice and friendly when I arrived

The breakfast left a little to be desired. The eggs weren't much along with the sausage gravy. Sausage patties and scrambled eggs would have been better. The place was clean and the waffles and juice was good so we made out ok.

The room was a good size overall. The staff were helpful and had answers to any questions I had. Location was great for the function I was attending. I would recommend for short stays.

The bathroom was very small, only room for the toilet and tub, sink was located as soon as you entered room. Concerned about the fact that I was told they only clean the room every three days.

staff was extremely welcoming and professional

the room could have been cleaner. there was dust on the floor and mirror could have been cleaner. finishing could be upgraded/updated and. the TV could be upgraded as well
