It was a great location for us. The staff, especially Corey in valet and Beth at the front desk were terrific. The AC in the room was great and the shower water pressure was good. The TV worked well.

The property is in dire need of a remodel. The property seems old and in need of cleaning and/or painting. The parking garage stairs seemed dirty and many of the paths to the room had visible trash like torn paper or stains. One of the upstairs rail’s bottom support was completely eaten through with rust. The carpet in the room looks old and we were surprised that the room had neither a microwave nor a small refrigerator. One of the elevators was not working the entire time we stayed (2 nights). The parking rates for overnight seemed exorbitant. I believe more people would stay in the parking garage if the rate was about half.

Within walking distance of the Texas State Capitol, museums, and a couple of very good restaurants. No daily housekeeping provided, but the front desk staff was fine about replenishing supplies.

Valet-only parking, operated by a separate company, was a bit of a surprise, as was the very high rate of $50+ per night. But there are no alternatives within walking distance of the hotel. No on-street parking; local garages are restricted by access or length of stay.

The BEST part of my trip was a staff member by the name of GEORGE!! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and each time I was locked out or my key wasn't working it's like he came out of NOWHERE to help. He's amazing and remembered my name each time and that felt so good. I called him my " Hero" because he helped out of nowhere with several things. I wanted to take him with me. he is so loyal to this hotel . He's awesome and I would come back just to have him remember me!!

The Staff

The staff was really nice and serviceminded and Hotel was located in middle of town. From the staffs side we got excatly what we needed and more.

The hotel was really worn out and that part was impossible to see from the pitures. Besides that, 51$ a day for parking is almost the same as a room.

Rooms were cozy, cool and clean, towels and toilet tissue were stocked properly, the breakfast wasn't anything special but it was decent! I was greeted kindly!

The building itself was a little run down for a downtown location, elevators on the property needed work but got us to our floor, you need to pay for parking, and it's valet plus it wasn't cheap to park overnight.

Great water pressure. Surprisingly the beds were very comfortable. The room maintained the temperature. It was in a very convenient location, close to the Capitol so there is a police presence. We felt very safe.

The elevator situation was bad, but i never really waited longer than 2 mins. The wifi was shotty.

The front desk clerk, Jorge, was very friendly and welcoming. He greeted us by name each time we arrived or left. We also had to leave our bags on the day of check out at the front desk and they were extremely accommodating in holding them with a claim check ticket while we went exploring before our flight.

The Breakfast sims not have anything like sandwich or omellette. every option was in sweet, except for boiled egg. The walkway to the rooms is really narrow.

Location is excellent for what I needed. Accommodations were fair. I assume that adding upgrades to the rooms would also add price increases.

I thought the parking was over priced. I didn’t move my car from Thursday-Saturday because of the proximity of work and pleasure. Was disappointing to pay that much to park.

location! we walked to 6th street both nights, it was very doable for someone who doesn’t do cardio regularly. the beds were the best by far! super comfortable! and the curtains kept it completely dark

carpet didn’t look great, this is to be expected with young crowds so I wasn’t super worried about it.
