The staff were welcoming and friendly during check-in. We stayed here the night before our wedding ceremony nearby and I asked if we were allowed to check-out an hour later. They were able to accommodate our request without issues and allowed us to check-out 2 hours later. I appreciated their flexibility. The location is very convenient. Alexandrian is surrounded by many good cafe and restaurants and there is a CVS right across the street. It is only 2 minutes walk away from the city hall plaza where the Saturday farmers market is located.

I asked for a barstool during check-in and the front desk told me that they will deliver it in the evening. I didn't receive it so I called the front desk to follow up. They then told me that they couldn't find one and the restaurant was closed that day. They should have let me know in advance so I could have a plan B and didn't have to wait my time to wait for it. Fortunately, they were able to find a barstool for me in the next morning.

The Alexandrian is such a beautiful building, well maintained and absolutely spotless. It also smells amazing! The parking garage is conveniently located under the building, accessed by elevator. Coming and going was a breeze, since it is located in the heart of King Street.

Not a single thing. It is the perfect hotel, operated by the nicest people.

I needed a room close to the elevator for mobility - Danielle and Michael were extremely helpful. The room was enormous and SO clean. The bathroom was large, clean and beautiful. There were 3 comfortable seats in the room, ample closet space, and a refrigerator. The room was quiet despite being in the middle of the action. Location was perfect.

It was no one's fault, but the hotel bar/restaurant was closed Sunday night and Monday, the entire time of my stay. With mobility issues this was a problem.

Location was excellent! Had a large King balcony room overlooking the courtyard.

I wish we would’ve gotten a better room. When I selected it online, it showed a beautiful balcony overlooking the courtyard. The room we received had the least nice view of those rooms, being stuck in a corner with a stone roof blocking some of the view on the 2nd floor. Other than that disappointment, our stay was lovely.

very good location. Staff looked after us very well on this visit. Nice upgrade, quiet room. Customer service was excellent.

Room had a few issues which was a shame. But they were resolved to our satisfaction.

Location, it's within walking n distance to restaurants, waterfront and shops.

The hard soap was very poor quality, and it did not.latwrh well ar all. The small.liquid soap was too small, only enough for one person, one shower.

Bed and pillows exceptionally comfortable

The coffee maker did not work I was billed for valet parking ($33.00) and did not have a car. I have called accounting and left a message and hopefully this charge will be credited to my card

Excellent staff, location, grounds, and service. Super convenient on-site parking. The interior of the room and the hotel itself definitely met or exceeded our expectations. Any request was promptly handled, and the staff was always friendly and professional. The location was absolutely perfect for getting out and about, without having to drive anywhere. The terrace was perfect for relaxing and dining. We did not hear hardly any sound from the hallway, which was great! Plus everything was very clean. I would absolutely recommend this hotel! (Note: We stayed at the exact time COVID-19 restrictions were lifted for the state. Some of the safety protocols may not have applied.)

I would encourage Booking.com to remove "designated smoking area" from its list of features, as The Alexandrian is a completely non-smoking establishment, inside and out. I did see on The Alexandrian's website that they are 100% non-smoking. I would also inquire about the "view" if you book a terrace. We happened to get the one room that had no view of the courtyard whatsoever. It was still wonderful to be outside without having to leave the hotel.

Location is fantastic. Rooms are generously sized and very stylish. Easy on site parking.

A/c working well was an issue. Changed rooms once because first room (on top floor) did not cool off at all and the unit was extremely loud. Second room was better but a/c would not stay on the selected temperature; kept going back up to 74+. I don’t like frigid a/c but I do expect to be comfy in my room at night. It was kind of stuffy the whole trip.

The location is amazing, just a few blocks from the water front. The room are spacious, clean and comfortable. Parking is available and easy to use.
