When we got to the hotel our room wasn’t ready but the lady at reception was very apologetic and then said that parking and breakfast would be paid for. So that was absolutely fine. We were then told that the spa facilities were closed due to maintenance. (Which we were not inform before we arrived) we got to our room fine and they had made our room cute with petals on the bed (due to our anniversary) but when we tried to order room service the number was incorrect. So we had to ring reception for them to place the order. That was done then the rang back 3 times to tell us that they didn’t have the items we ordered as the menus haven’t been updated. The next morning we told that breakfast was served between 6am and 10 am, we got down to breakfast at 9:20am to be told (quite abruptly) “you do know breakfast finishes at 10 right?” I couldn’t fault the staff at reception especially one lovely lady who we didn’t get the name of! But the lady in the restaurant was just plain rude. We had a good stay but most likely won’t be returning.

The room was in great condition, with good amenities and a nice bathroom. The included spa and fitness facilities were good, though it was a shame that the steam room was out of order. The restaurant was also nice, though in my opinion pricy for what it offers.

The restaurant was quite expensive for the overall quality of the food, though I guess that is to be expected of a Hilton hotel. I personally found the pillows to be too soft, though again that is a personal preference and I didn't ask if they had harder pillows on hand that I could use.

The staff were exceptional (especially on Reception at Check-in), engaging and supportive of our disabilities. They went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and were open to any advice provided to support our disability needs, including out communication functions. We were also impressed with the gym/swimming pool/Jacuzzi and family changing facilities, the breakfast choices (including the assistance provided by staff) and the disabled parking facilities. Thank you so much!

Staff were brilliant. We had a massage with kay who was great. She was very lovely and fitted us in last minute which we really appreciated. We enjoyed a drink by the bar which was also very nice. Bed was comfy and had a lovely nights sleep.

We wanted to use the pool facilities but when we went down the spa pool had a cover on which said it was being cleaned. I had looked at this hotel specifically for the spa facilities. We thought that we would wait until later to use this. However, we tried to go to the pool at our check out time and they said we were not able to use it at all at that time. There was also nowhere to sit and relax around the side of the pool which had been our plan.

Our stay at the Hilton was incredible. We had a free upgrade to a premium room for my 30th Birthday and was greeted with a personalised handwritten note in my room and a warm cookie! The room was lovely, extremely comfy bed and pillows and the breakfast had so much variety! They even brought 5 champagne flutes to our room for our bottle of prosecco we brought from home! Top service and excellent experience overall.

My only gripe was the late checkout, it said online we could checkout til 4pm, when we called and asked they said this might be doable but they would have to see on check-in when we checked in they still weren't sure. We even asked them when we came back from the town at 3am and they still weren't sure. I woke up early anyway, but it would have been nice to know in advance if we could have slept in, but I appreciate it's not always possible. Also the male changing rooms were closed for refurb, but that wasn't too much of a hassle as we just used our room instead but for people without robes etc it might have been a bit awkward.

The bed was very comfortable. AC was working very nice and the temperature was always the right one. Big bathroom with bath.

The one light was not working on the mirror. The box of tissues was moving from the wall. Only one piece of shampoo and conditioner, body lotion for two people. Apart from that little things everything else was really great. OK. One more thing if guest is going to stay overnight is it really necessary to charge additional for parking £6? I have lived few times in Hiltons somewhere else and no of guests staying overnight were charted additional for using parking.

Great pool and spa bath. Spacious luxurious lobby. Comfy beds and spacious rooms with good facilities. Very friendly staff.

The first room we were allocated had a large gap where the opening window didn't meet the casing. It was draughty and you could hear the motorway. Went and reported it to reception and, as there was no maintenance in at the weekend, they immediately moved our room. The new room was great. It would have been good for them not to have allocated the defective room at the outset as it would definitely have been noticed by housekeeping. Breakfast ran out quickly and although they were replenishing it, there was not some of everything. Food in the restaurant/bar in an evening is mediocre.

In the lobby area there were a few tables with plates / cups / leftover food on which hadn’t been cleared away even though people had left.

We had great staff Bev & Guy who made our stay very welcoming. Guy in particular helped with several issues all through the night .

The staff on the last day spoke to us terrible and didn’t explain our bills . As far as we knew we were paying for our drinks on our room card and paying cash each time. I have came home and had over £400 taken out my bank and no idea why which isn’t great and we weren’t made aware of this at the time . The floor manager was super aggressive pointing his fingers in my face which he obviously shouldn’t be doing regardless of what a bill says .

Staff across the hotel were very helpful, the woman on the front desk especially was lovely. Room was a good size, ample parking, and the bed was comfy. Facilities as a whole was really good, and great selection of drinks at the restaurant/bar

This is just me being really nit-picky, but worth a mention. The shower/bath is nice, but the pane used to stop water from getting everywhere when you shower is too short, finished my shower with a soaking wet floor in one part of the bathroom. The food at the restaurant is good, enjoyable for sure, though possibly slightly overpriced, not awfully though.
