- The artsy approach - uniqueness of each and every room and spaces - the unmatchable breakfast! this was a wonderful and extraordinary experience for us

we did love the property as is!! our friends room did not have the challenge we had. for our room we could hear everything our neighbour room did (it was a bit noisy), while we do not mind this at all… just mentioning this for people who this is important for (recommendation here would be upon booking to request a room that is a bit more isolated)

Its a truly amazing boutique property, located in the hart of Tbilisi, close to everything, but on a very quiet street. my room was stylish and extremely clean, full of unique pieces of furniture and other beautiful items. common areas are decorated with greens and flowers. bed was very comfy, with quality pillows and linen. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of bath amenities provided by the hotel) and staff deserves 10 out of 10, really) all staff are very friendly, speaks perfect English and always ready to help. one of the best hotel I stayed in Tbilisi. Amazing experience!!!

well, they turn on music in common areas from the morning till 11 pm, with is good for atmosphere in the hotel, but was not comfortable for me since the speakers were right near my door. But it’s just my personal opinion, nothing serious)

We were traveling with the newborn and enjoyed the hotel very much. The breakfast was a very nice experience. The room (the one with the small kitchen) is spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The location on the quiet street is cool and allows you to sleep with an open window. Overall it was a great experience.

The baby crib is absolutely not usable and even more, it is against the modern recommendations of how cribs should be organized to prevent SIDS. The crib frame is soft and it is filled with a very soft mattress (which probably was a blanket). So would not recommend using it. The bathroom needs more lighting.

This please is a hidden treasure - after entering in a building with a rather inconspicuous facade, you're in small boutique hotel with individually designed rooms. Everything is taken care of to the last detail. The breakfast was outstanding (it's huge and delicious!) that you share with other guests. Also big kudos to the staff and especially Nika who was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful! Thanks for an awesome stay! PS an often overlooked feature - internet was really strong, did actually work from there.

Not much tbh - the shower has been leaking a bit, but this was a small point. The shared terrace is a nice feature. However, given the size of the hotel, one needs to be careful to not disturb other guests whose rooms are adjacent to the terrace or entry hallway.

The hotel had an incredibly cool vibe. I was particularly impressed by the room's design and the overall aesthetic of the hotel. The communal breakfast was a standout experience; it's one of those rare occasions when I truly enjoyed hotel coffee. The staff was not only nice but also very helpful. I've been to Tbilisi multiple times, but this was my first stay in Sololaki. It's a nice hood, and it's only about a 10-minute walk from Rustaveli.

Overall, I would say the hotel is somewhat overpriced given its offerings. The rooms are on the smaller side, and the lighting is quite dim. While subdued lighting can create a cozy ambiance in a fancy bar, it's less practical in a hotel room where you can't even see your face properly in the mirror. It's also noticeable that the bed linens and towels appeared to be old and showed signs of use. I'm generally not too critical about such things, but given the price point for Tbilisi, I believe the hotel has the potential to provide a better experience.

The eclectic concept of old town houses converted into a hotel. We had opted for a balcony suite & the balcony really made a difference. Tea in the morning and nightcap at night.. excellent. Liked the interesting breakfast spread and the sit at the table concept. Unusual but intimate and you start chatting to the other guest and share travel tips. Staff …. excellent rather with a capital E(xcellent). Nutsa was probably by far one of the nicest person we have met. She was super helpful, quick with tips and connecting us with tour organisers. Nutsa’s recommendation for restaurant were absolutely bang on. Thank You Nutsa. Tamta being the second person we met & interacted at Communal. She too was quick to send us some helpful links that we had requested plus she doubled up as our chef on the second day & cooked us excellent eggs for breakfast. 👏👏👍 Communal Solonaki.

Hmmmmmm. Nothing really.

This hotel is an absolute gem, it takes a short walk from the city center to get there and there is no elevator, but it is an old building with a history - you get what you paid for and much more. Not only we got upgrade to bigger room, but we were able to get help with booking a spa session and get some recommendations. Breakfast is an experience, big table in the cellar, with so many local delights. We also got a take away lunch boxes due to very early check-out. Last, but not least, people working here are extremely friendly, so overall it was pure pleasure to stay at this hotel. Thank you!

Nothing to complain about.

Me and a friend stayed at this place for 7 nights. Everything is superb since we arrived until we left. Room is spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is amazing, though, I wish they can offer other options too. It's all the same choice of meals (food) served in the table everyday. Would love to have something like asian or english breakfast as well. We decided to have breakfast on our 4th day outside. Though it's our own choice.

Everything is perfect on this place. Only I crave for asian and hot served breakfast on our 4th day.

The staff is most friendly I've ever had. They organized a lovely surprise for my wife's birthday and did that as a compliment, which my wife loved. The breakfast is authentic, outstanding, and incredibly delicious. Go with the Turkish Eggs or Egg and Soldiers and you will be delighted by the experience.

I have nothing to complain about the stay, I can only recommend for those who search for comfort, authentic experience, and value for the money.

Communal Hotel Sololaki stands out as one of the better experiences I have had booking a hotel with little research. I did a quick map study to figure out where I wanted to go, and then picked this hotel based on the location, the price, and what looked to be (and was) a very nice, old world experience. There is NOTHING cookie-cutter (standard, sterile, typical) about this hotel; it harks back to an older world where every hotel truly was its OWN, and the decor and layout of the rooms represented both the area and the age of the area exceptionally well. I checked in quite late, and the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating; the receptionist, Luka, called me a cab at 11:30 PM and was actually standing outside to meet me and check me in. The room was large, with very high ceilings, very period-appropriate decor, a phenomenal bed, and a general feeling of old-world luxury. The hotel’s breakfast and overall layout and decor were all exceptional; Motown music resonates through the halls, the breakfast is otherworldly, and the porches (yes, there are two of them) are fantastic places to sit at the end of the day. You’ll feel like you just walked into a low-key, high quality, very tasteful hotel in an American or European city in the 1970s upon check-in. Another thing that I have to impress is that the hotel staff is exceptional. Barbara, Luka, and Nutza were all very helpful, both with regards to the hotel, to finding excellent restaurants (Terracotta was phenomenal), and just generally discussing Georgian culture. Sololaki is also a great era, abutting Mount Mtatsminda and maintaining its old world feel but with plenty of modern restaurants, bars, and excellent views; it’s also walking distance to Freedom Square. If you’re a fan of the unordinary, the well-appointed, the original, or luxury that harks back to the best of a bygone era, I’d strongly recommend you consider Communal Hotel Sololaki.

The only (minor) annoyance I had was with the layout of the bathroom (an inward swinging door in an already small bathroom) combined with a door that had to be forced shut due to swelling (humidity from the shower, likely).
