Room was spacious, airy. Toilets were clean, beds comfortable with a light and small shelf for storage. There is locked luggage storage in the room. The common area is very green and relaxing - quite big. There is a kitchen for use, as well as breakfast in the bar-dining room. The breakfast spread is simple and decent, and the bar is quite good in the evenings. The staff is happy to allow storing luggage for extra time and assisting with things.

The location might not be suitable to all. Though its very close to Munich Hbf, the area around is very crowded, with strip clubs. Though there was no incident, late nights may get ladies some strange stares. There are other hostels on the road though, hence a lot of travellers and tourists waking about.

Close to central station, metro lines to everywhere Short walk to Marienplatz Breakfast €5.90 = cereal and toast. We had a double room with own bathroom and balcony on 5th floor Elevators available or stairs Washing machine = €3.50 per wash

Wrist bands required to be worn like we were at school disco for the entire 4 days Shower dribbles out water. I had to run around to get wet. Bed very firm. Had to strip own bed and deliver linens to reception on check out.. Not enough washing machines for 5 floors of residents.

Everything was perfect. I liked all the facilities: the relaxed and helpful staff, the bathroom, the interior of the female room, the lockers in the room, the cleanliness everywhere, the fresh air, the small coin lockers for everyone downstairs, the storage room, the atmosphere, the kitchen, the open space... And, they checked me in earlier and didn't kick me out at 10:00, thanks a lot! (That's during the low season in March)

Well, you can't choose your roommates. One of them was too loud so I didn't sleep enough... And, there are some construction sites around which start moving early in the morning. But our window was open. And it wasn't extremely loud. But better bring some earplugs

The location of this Wombat is unbeatable, just a few blocks away from Hauptbanhof, Karlplatz and the main spots in the city. The structure of the hostel is very good and the parties were well done, I could meet new people there. The bar is great and the breakafast in really delicious, with high quality products and vegan and celiac options (loved it). It was my first hostel and I couldn't have started better :)

There's only one thing I didn't really like, it wasn't clear for me if the blankets are being washed. When doing check-out process, I was required to bring all my sheets to the reception, but not the blanket (I'd brought it but have to leave in my room again). I hope they grab the used blankets and cleaned them. Other than that just small stuff, like loud roommates and no hairdryer in the room.

-It is just a 5-10min walking distance from Munchen Hbf & other transport system like tram. It is also 15-20min away from the Christmas Market & other tourist attraction. -The girl staff who checked me in was very approachable & very nice, I am very grateful to her. I requested if its possible to be trasferred to a room with lady guests was a majority. -The whole place was tourist friendly, they have a bulletin/wall suggesting the guests where to visit & what to try in the City. -The common room is big & clean. The kitchen is clean, they even have free biscuits in it. The room I went into was clean and spacious for 6beds, & has a table & chairs, & a private rest room. Make sure its ok for you to be mixed with opposite gender. -Also, you can be sure you’re using clean bed linens, as they instruct every guest to put their used linens in the designated cart upon check-out.

There was a guy at the evening shift-not so impressed with him. I didn’t know whether a towel was to be rented, so when I requested he answered sarcastically that I should have rented it before hand, sounds like I’m stupid (it’s my 1st time travelling as a bedspacer), he could’ve been more patient/hospitable. Or maybe, he just had a bad day, I dunno. But overall my stay was satisfactory. Highly recommended to friends who wants convenience & practical stay in Munchen, Germany.

Staff was super friendly, supportive and helpful. I arrived late, needed to store luggage, and then booked a second night on the spot because of issues with trains - all the while they were super nice and made the situation more bearable. Location is of course also fantastic if you are traveling by train, and last but not least I want to mention that it is a super nice building and everything was clean and welcoming. But yeah, the staff was 12/10!

Spotlessly clean and felt very safe and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the staff were lovely. Great seating area, vending machines, and bag storage for if you get there early.

Lack of curtains on the bunk beds. I also stayed at the other Wombats hostel in the city on this trip and they did have curtains and it added an extra layer of privacy and helped block light when other people got up etc. the other hostel also had its bar/cafe open all day and I much preferred that. I would have used it very often but it closes after breakfast and doesn't open until the evening. I missed being able to get a beer and a sandwich. It was also crazy expensive for a hostel at around 100 euros a night.

Well located, very close to main station but in a quiet street. Super convenient for transport in Munich and beyond. Good, quick, helpful check in experience. Very clean throughout the hostel, probably the cleanest hostel kitchen if any I've stayed at over many years. Good sound insulation from other rooms and bar. Big bright clean dorm with space between beds. Nice light internal atrium space with huge sofa seating.

No recycling facilities in the hostel. Food labels in kitchen were ultra fiddly and time consuming. Publicity photos put me off, looked like too much of a party place, glad I booked in spite of them. Expensive for a hostel. For the price, wouldn't expect to make the bed.

Very friendly and respectful staff (reception, bar, housekeeping, ...). They are all very professional, kind and supportive. We had a problem on 05.01 in the late evening and the receptionist solved it professionally. The Rooms were clean. Lockers are useful and we didn't need our own lock for them. One entrance door, one to enter the floor and one for our room, would be a good level of safety. Whether u want to chill in the nice winter-garden or enjoy "Bier Aus dem Fass" at the bar or meet new people in the Kitchen, u have lots of choices. The support for having services is very good. U may have towels, playing cards, dishes and so on. There is info on the wall about sightseeing, events, restaurants etc. The kitchen was always clean and we could find literally everything we needed, even we could make our own filter coffee. Some shared food in the refrigerator, or some small food from the hostel as well. There was a laundry-room, some public restrooms and showers in the corridors. Everything well-managed! This was my ninth stay there. It has a nice friendly atmosphere, which is the result of having very good staff. I would definitely recommend it to everyone, who wants to enjoy a great hostel. Stay always good Wombat's.

That the Kitchen and Tree area is closing at 10pm. I understand that it has to be quiet becouse people are sleeping at this time allready but why not make it a strict silence area after 10pm? No talking, nothing loud after 10pm in Kitchen/Tree Area will make it a whole new atmosphere that will be quite enjoyable to relax into the night. So i didnt like to get ignored with my request for after 10pm quiet opening time, until now, hopefully the great stuff replys rather soon tho :)
