The continental breakfast was plentiful and good. The location is superb, next to the river and in the centre of Dublin, a few minutes' walk from the Luas (tram) stop. Dormitory rooms are fairly basic but the beds are comfortable, each has a curtain for privacy, a reading light and sockets for phone charging etc. Ear plugs recommended if you're likely to be disturbed by traffic noise or snoring!

The "Reading Room" was locked, so it was difficult to escape from excited teenage noise!

The staff is friendly. Each bed had a socket and a small lamp. There was enough space in the middle of the room, you could freely unpack/ move around the room. It's not crammed.

The navigation is a bit complicated: long winding corridors, up and down the stairs - an intimidating labyrinth of some kind. There are direction signs though.

I reached out to the staff before my arrival, and they promptly answered all my questions, which I really appreciated. A great perk is that you can relax in the common area even before check-in. I spent time working and enjoying a beer at the bar. The hostel offers a variety of activities, so it's easy to meet people and have fun together. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was quite good as well. There was always a free bathroom available, stocked with shower gel and toilet paper, and special "make up room" even had hair dryers. The location is fantastic! I arrived in the city by bus from the airport, and it took me less than 5 minutes to walk to the hostel. I highly recommend this place if you're staying in Dublin. Have a nice and safe trip <3

The only downside I noticed was the storage boxes under the beds. They’re a bit inconvenient and noisy when you need to access them, and you have to buy a lock if you want to secure your things.

This hostel is an excellent international meeting place that is close to everything. It is a safe, clean and affordable experience for young and young at heart. People were respectful of one another and breakfast was really nice in the facility allowing one to relax alone or meet new people. I would highly recommend anyone over 18 who isn't into partying crazy to stay there.

I honestly can't complain about anything. This facility was so safe, close to everything, clean, and all people respected the privacy and unwritten rules enabling a positive experience for all.

The facilities were amazing, so much to offer with a mini restaurant with amazing, cheap but tasty cocktails, the kitchen was massive and had a load of equipment, there were many many toilet and shower facilities so you weren’t ever waiting and even a little getting ready area with mirrors and hairdryers. The location was a 10/10, literally in the centre of Dublin

The only thing I would improve was the size of the duvet sheet, I’m 5’10 and it only just reached my feet but when I moved they would become uncovered and get cold. Also maybe make the lights next to the bed adjustable so you can point them up/down as I was concerned mine was creating too much light for the sleeping people

The location. Superb. Located in basically the heart of Dublin. Everything a traveler/tourist would be interested in, is in walking distance. The room. Provides everything a traveler/tourist needs. The breakfast. Tasty, With enough variety. On a side note, The reason why I chose Abbey Court hostel was because the breakfast was included in the price and there is a kitchen for the guests to use.

The only complaint I have isn't really dedicated to Abbey Court. The prices for hostel accommodation seem to have skyrocketed, across the board. A few years ago, a week in a hostel was more affordable.

The location was very good and I liked all the wall art around the hostel. The kitchen was very elaborate, the dining area big. I also liked the small garden in between the buildings, which was under a roof.

There was earwax on the wall close to my head while sleeping, that felt unhygienic. I also felt as if I was a bit of a burden to one of the staff members, as if she didn’t like her job as much. The other staff members had very good vibes though! Also, you need an extra plug to charge any device amd the hostel sells those for €8. I asked where else I could buy it and they said: “Probably nowhere”, but later I noticed the SuperValu across the street sells it for around €3 and was still open. I felt a bit lied to.

The location of the hostel was perfectly suited for quick access to transportation services, as well as for touring activities. The private room was quite comfortable, quiet and easy to get around. The complimentary breakfast was pleasant and suited my needs for fast eating, before touring. Other meals provided by the kitchen were astonishing, for they were tasty, fast in the preparation, and cheaper than outside prices of the same quality and quantity of portions.

The disconnect between private rooms and community rooms meant I had to go outside the secondary building and enter the main building, in order to gain access to the community rooms (ie laundry, dinning room, theatre room, check in/out desk).

The location is fantastic, right in Dublin with things to do all in walking distance. I loved the privacy curtains for each bed, the bathroom in the room was nice to have. The amount of bathrooms and showers they have is immaculate. The other facility rooms they have such as a makeup room, cinema, reading room and even more was a great touch.

I wish every bed had a small fan or something to help cool us down, it gets hot. There seemed to be a bunch of young kids staying that were really Loud at times which was annoying and I definitely thing instructions for the showers would be great. I really didn’t like that you had to continuously use the shower nob in to keep the water going and there was no cold water for the shower so the showers were scorching hot to the point I couldn’t even stand under the water, I had to stand to the side.

Perfect Location, within walking distance to most of the attractions, temple bars, bus stops, convenience stores, trip meeting points etc. Breakfast is simple buffet style but taste good. Got vegetarian options too. Great facilities such as entertainment area, kitchen to cook, washing machine. Hostel arranged in house activities such as Karaoke, movie night etc. Info on Dublin free walking tour. Thanks for the recommendation.

The roomates open luggages & door at late night, coughing, chit chating - the noise a bit disturbing but is beyond hostel's control. Notice being put up but very hard to enforce as people checking in & out at anytime. Common area such as corridor when there's large group of students running around making noise, it can be quite annoying. Wifi connection in the room (maybe certain corner or area) is very weak.
