We loved the hotel - staff was super-friendly, hotel was quiet and the room was nice. Bonus that we had a tub and shower which made bathing a small child so much easier. The grounds were great to explore and it was a quick ride into downtown Kinsale.

Parking can be hard to find at night because of weddings. Maybe there should be hotel guest parking and then event parking spaces so that paying guests are guaranteed a decent spot?

Great location very peaceful and friendly staff. Great pizzas and spa / swimming pool. Comfortable beds and very good nights sleep.

Outdoor park area was closed off but no indication as to why, so had to ask at the front desk - was informed due to health and safety and required maintenance. Suggested a notice on the gate would be helpful, but we could also have been informed on our arrival. Decking area to restaurant was being replaced (we mentioned this needed doing last year when we stayed) again not informed of the works but there was no disruption to our stay. The exterior of the property is in need of refresh and the grounds walkways and waterfall walk / bridges need maintenance as all look very tired.

This hotel is in a lovely location about 5 minutes outside Kinsale. We (couple & 7yr old) stayed here for 2 nights over the recent bank holiday weekend. The staff were excellent here. The staff in restaurant ..both breakfast and dinner...were brilliant and so attentive. The food was lovely...best French toast!! 7 Yr old loved the pool and the staff were lovely giving us extra floats and pool toys for her. Lots of different areas within the pool so something for all ages and levels. Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room...what more could you want! The room was lovely and comfortable. The view from the hotel is so scenic with a lovely walk down to the waters edge. All in all a lovely weekend in a gorgeous hotel.

Hotel was really lovely, clean and comfortable. Gorgeous walk around the hotel and spectacular views Most of the staff were amazing, had a word with everyone and engaged with people, seemed happy in their job & showed it. Mary was a ray of sunshine at breakfast. Another girl Croan/Cora (blonde, manager) apologises didn't get her name, was so lovely, friendly & enjoyed her job.

Only drawbacks, couldn't get back from Kinsale town,even after ringing hotel to call us a taxi! The bar staff really need to take a customer service course, didn't want to serve anyone, except at the counter, never once walked the (very small) bar. At one point there was 9 people having a drink, very easy to walk to each table, have a quick word, see if anyone wanted anything but instead kept head down and wiped glasses!

Nice hotel in a breathtaking location with beautiful grounds and a stunning view of the estuary. Very quiet and secluded. Make sure to walk down to the water at least once during your stay. Decent room with a very comfortable bed; did I mention the view? :) and very friendly and helpful staff. Call the spa in advance for appointments (even if the online booking system says they’re full).

While perfectly acceptable and clean, a little more attention to detail is needed to push this place into “luxury” territory: bathrobe and slippers, for example, more than just local tv channels, or a minibar. And everything is starting to look a little “tired” (discolouration on carpet, loo roll holder coming off the wall). The breakfast was fine, but lacked variety (standard “cooked” breakfast, basic cold cuts, tinned fruit, toast, mini pastries - nothing really special). And I wish the windows opened. But overall a very pleasant stay!

It was for my sons wedding From the minute we arrived at the kinsale hotel we were met with a friendly warm welcome We booked in and went to our rooms to just drop off our bags as we were starving I ordered fish I don't eat chips so chef gave me mash and veg it was beautiful we had some drinks and called it a night awake bright and early as wedding was today I must say the wedding was just beautiful everything was arranged by the hotel and the meal was out of this world There is one member of staff I must mention she is called Sandra She is the jewel in this kingdom From start to finish she couldn't have done anymore for us even suggested to go to kitty o shea pub with our foreign relatives as it was as Irish as one could get Sandra you are one in a million and I hope the hotel knows how lucky to have you on staff I would recommend the kinsale spa and leisure Hotel to one and all I will certainly be back and as for value in the times we live in it was worth the money we paid and it was a bargain I will miss it now as its back to the day to day of living but will forever keep hotel and staff especially Sandra near to my heart Thank you one and all Annette Murphy

Amazing setting, very helpful staff, great advice from Peter on places to visit. Orla at breakfast times was always so kind and smiley, great role model for all the nice youngsters working there. Fantastic choice of breakfast, nice restaurant and bar. The pool facilities were also fantastic! Lovely touch from the staff, they left Happy 50th birthday card in the room for my husband.

Nothing really. But I did ask for one of the refurbished rooms (as this was a birthday surprise treat) and considering the hotel wasn't busy we didn't get one of those rooms anyway. The shower wasn't very nice and a bit blocked but we used the pool showers most of the time anyway.

Very friendly staff and good location near to Kinsale. It's a very peaceful and quiet place with a nice short walk to the cove. We had bar food which was very good and nice choice for breakfast. I would stay there again.

Some basic maintenance is needed in the room such as broken window catch and shower door needed repair. AC was ineffective and noisy. Some coat hooks would be very handy and lighter duvets for summertime. We were surprised by the very limited number of TV stations available.

Staff were excellent Orla and lady at reception fast efficient helpful .Breakfast was really awesome with honeycomb honey really nice touch hot breakfast also excellent.Great spread buffet top class.Swimming pool was excellent.Sam helped us get everything we needed to enjoy children's pool .Very pretty views at back onto harbour .Very tranquil warm cosy hotel with top class staff ample free parking near Kinsale but would need car or taxi service to town .All in all myself and my son enjoyed stay immensely great quality service and plenty staff to help guests . Bedrooms very comfy with bath and shower good television comfy warm beds .Highly recommended with seeing view at back of hotel in summer I reckon .

Our stay was about relaxing and just being together as a family. The staff were so kind and helpful from the time we walked in the door. The views from reception were fab. The rooms were very clean and spacious and had everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay, we would have loved to stay longer if we could ❤️

While the hotel is fabulous the signage wasn't great outside the hotel! No name on view for Spa entrance from outside 🤔 The SPA packages were a little expensive!
