The staff were fantastic from reception (Johannes was so lovely and kind to our daughters), to bar staff (José I think served us), breakfast staff, leisure centre and housekeeping, everyone was so friendly and made our girls feel really at home. We booked a mini suite and it was well maintained and great to have the separate sitting room space. The breakfast, bar food and food in the restaurant was all really good and nothing was too much for the staff. It was our 6th Wedding Anniversary and prosecco and wine were left in our room and we received prosecco with our dinner. The kids really enjoyed the playroom (jigsaws, table tennis, building blocks, teddies, books etc), Fairy trail and crazy golf. This is our second time staying and if we're in Cork again we'll definitely be back 😊

From when we first drove in the grounds were lovely. The staff on arrival were brilliant very easy to get checked in and no hassle. When we went to room it was really cosy and clean. We had slippers and nightgown in room and a bottle of prosecco waiting for us which was a nice surprise and the television had a decent selection on it. There was a lovely clean balcony which was great to sit out in having drink in the evening. There was a wedding on the night we went and we could still hear no noise or music from the rooms which was a relief.

The fact we only booked one night wish we stayed longer

Absolutely love this hotel!! Couldn’t rate this place highly enough. The staff were exceptional. Knowledgable, friendly and fantastic service. Facilities are great and a lovely setting. Sitting in the garden in the sunshine was a treat! Food was stunning. Very good breakfast. Rooms are lovely and big and a very comfy bed! The spa is gorgeous as well & I was allowed to indulge in the spa and gym all day after I’d checked out whilst I was waiting for my flight home.

the building itself was cool but the room didn’t have air con and it was a very hot day when I stayed, but this is a tiny inconvenience, I still slept like a baby in the room! The rest of the hotel was nice and cool.

The Hotel was Fantastic. A great choice. Being located in Douglas and a 25 minute drive into Cork City. My Wife & Sister enjoyed their time in the Spa. They both said it was AMAZING & the best Spa yet for each of them. We'll Done Erin & Laura plus Saoirse. The Food in Bellini's Restaurant and the Bar was Gorgeous with super Service from Both Fionn, Kevin & Fabio from Maderia, Portugal. Having the afternoon tea for the 3 of Us was our immense pleasure. Looking after by all the staff here especially Arlene. Not Forgetting Johannes in Reception. He was excellent at his job. In fact we brought back Krispy Creme Doughnuts back for him and his hotel colleagues, just to show our appreciation of their professionalism in looking after our needs to a high standard. I had organised a twin delivery from the Flower Factory.ie to the hotel with instructions. The Reservations team gone them perfect and both bouquets with balloons were placed in the correct rooms as A Surprise. We'll Done Everyone & General Manager Justin Mc Carthy. You have an Exceptional Team there. Keep up the Good Work.

Everything was just Perfect in the Maryborough Hotel and Spa.

Delightfully elegant hotel, hidden away from the main road in a small parkland. Although there was a wedding party on the same day as we stayed the hotel was big enough for us not to intrude on their special day. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and the bathroom was a good size too. We ate our evening meal in the bar, they happily set a table for eight of us, the meal was fine. However, the breakfast was the best fry up we had in all the Hotels we went to in Ireland on our tour. Delicious.

Absolutely liked this place,i booked this hotel to stay with my daughter after her leaving cert exams. Front desk staff was so pleasant and welcoming , beyond perfect.On arriving to room we there greated with complimentary Prosecco bottle and welcome note.Exceptional place with professional staff members ,who did they best for guests to feel special. Spa treatments was amazing too.Room had nice garden view and very clean.Only best worlds about hotel. looking forward to come back again in autumn for wedding anniversary this time.

unbelievable stay absolutely lush greeted by such a breath of fresh air when we arrived by an amazing lady had such a fabulous time the staff were exceptional and so accommodating would highly recommend the dinner was absolutely amazing the soup was to die for and the steak cooked to perfection the waiters and waitresses were so kind and so respectful we really enjoyed our stay the master suite was absolute perfection so clean and the bathroom was unbelievable will definitely be recommending to all friends and family.The inclusive breakfast was so lovely and lots of variety to choose from.The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary one to remember it was so special we were so grateful for the time and effort put in to make our weekend so special couldn’t fault the hotel it should be a 5 star.100% will be coming back soon.

loved everything absolutely lush

The room was lovely, the spa was gorgeous, the staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good too. I didn't have dinner there so I can't comment on that.

The only improvement I would suggest is that it would be useful if they labelled items in the breakfast buffet e.g. the different types of juices. I was glad to see that they have a small table with gluten-free options, but I definitely think it should be labelled as this to avoid other guests accidentally contaminating the GF food and potentially having a person with Coeliac disease become sick from the contamination.

We had a fantastic stay with our 2 kids ages 5 and 7. I had not expected it to be so family friendly, from arrival to departure the staff were possibly some of the nicest I have come across. Cookies with the kids name on them on arrival with a little pack. Kids played Table tennis, pool, crazy golf and loved the pool which was immaculate. I popped to the gym and visited the spa for a few minutes, my only regret is that I didn’t give myself more time to relax in the therapy pool. Dinner lovely breakfast was really nice, the platter to start is a great idea. Room perfect, clean and very comfortable for all. Location very handy and accessible, lovely grounds abs quiet too. It doesn’t happen too often but I just have nothing negative to say about this hotel and it’s amazing staff. Looking forward to coming back again.

It’s rare but nothing negative on this one

We attended a wedding at this Hotel and everything was superb from the ceremony to reception. The organisation of the event was second to none, food was served hot and tasty we had a great time. Our rooms were spotless with Espa toiletries in the room, bed was lovely and comfortable. Car parking was easy and free. Reception staff were so helpful and accommodating.

The bar staff were very busy. Tables weren't cleared and cleaned as the hotel was so busy when we arrived on the Thursday afternoon. On the Thursday night we waited ages for service. But all in all we had a lovely time it wasn't a major issue.
