The location was brilliant, the room was lovely and really clean. We ate in the bar/restaurant and the food was amazing and the service was brilliant. We had a room to the front of the hotel and there was a lot of noise from the street from early morning, 6am deliveries to various business, building works etc. I know the hotel can do absolutely nothing to prevent this and is totally out of their control but maybe putting in some noise proof measures would help but otherwise it was great and we would definelty stay again. Loved Kinsale.

Only small complaint was the noise from the street early in the morning but this has nothing to do with the hotel.

Good staff and location.

The shower in the room was terrible, hardly worked.

The young lady on reception was very friendly and helpful, she went above and behind her duty to make sure she got us a lift to our wedding venue when we couldn't get a taxi, she definitely is an asset to your hotel, I was hoping she would be there when we were leaving to tell her myself, please pass on our thanks and gratitude 😀 I would recommend your hotel to family and friends

I didn't like that taxis were very hard to get ,would be good if your establishment had direct access to taxis or shuttle bus service

The receptionist was an absolute joy to chat with and so helpful. We were upgraded to a family room, as we are friends, not partners, so we asked for 2 single beds and we got them at no extra charge - that was perfect. The hotel is lovely, I have stayed there before and will visit again!

There was no boiling water facility for making tea. Only a coffee machine. My tea was undrinkable, the hot water out of the coffee machine, tasted of coffee. Also, a choice of some plant milk (oat, almond, soy) any pant milk would be nice, not just cow.

Staff were accommodating and had a lovely friendly manner. Breakfast was delicious and having some entertainment on in the bar was great. changing the towels every day was fantastic. I loved the Dyson hairdryer too.

Rooms are a bit outdated although it was clean and comfortable which is really all that matters. I understand it's an old building but having a walk in shower would have been nice instead if over the bath as it was awkward climbing in and out.

- counter staff that checked us in was very friendly and nice - there were cookies waiting for us on the bed - for coffee lovers, they have a nespresso machine - bed was very comfortable - walking distance to our dinner - the Dyson hairdryer was the best thing in the room

- no lift, so it was difficult if you have a lot of luggage - shower is only possible in the bathtub - rooms are not really soundproof, could hear people going up and down the halls outside our room - street parking available but only between 6pm-10am if I remember correctly - very expensive for a one-night stay, but it might be just because it's during peak season

The hotel is located very centrally in Kinsale. It was within easy walking distance of everything you wanted to do. Most of the staff were very personable and offered good tips for restaurants and activities we were interested in. Our room was comfortable, spacious and updated with adequate outlets. The restaurant offered excellent breakfasts. Be aware! Their scrambled eggs are made with 4 eggs, but you can make it as individual as you want. Nespresso in the rooms made wake up pleasant. Dinners there were excellent.

Mattresses need to be updated. Ours was really soft and kind of worn. Because of the central location and the size of Kinsale, it can get loud with multiple pubs and their live music. But most of it winds up by 10-10:30 on week nights (we were not there for the weekend).

The breakfast was excellent - really lovely. Bed / room was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great location. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Obviously very popular as the bar / restaurant areas were always busy, but as we were residents we were able to have a table allocated to us on the first night we stayed.

Shower pressure in the bathroom wasn't great. I would liked to have seen a greater selection of vegan options for dinner, (there was only 1 but I am not always a big fan of curry).

Initially we had booked a room in The Blue Haven. After a few weeks, they called and told us they would have to rebook us the "Old Bank", a sister hotel down the street . A bit disappointed but In the end, it worked out OK. Our room was a nice sixze but a bit dated. However, it did have two very big windows facing out on to the two main streets in Kinsale We enjoyed the light and views. The room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast was in the little cafe on the ground floor. Coffee was good and the breakfast and service were quite good..

The hotel does not have parking. The "free parking" city lot is a 3 block walk. In town parking requires payment every two hours between 10 and 1830. There is no lounge or dining in the Old Bank but there is other choices just up the street,

Charming Hotel. Have stayed several times and will be back. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked. High Quality. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. Location very central. Bar had very pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed the music at night. Food was excellent.

Hard to find fault. If I had to nit pick, I would say that the wait for dinner at 5pm was a little stretched (30 mins from ordering). Trying to catch the eye of the server during breakfast for more coffee was a bit of a challenge.
