Everything was perfect except breakfast. The room was very clean, quiet, cosy and warm.

The breakfast timings - the hotel staff was confused, and everyone said different things when we tried to confirm in advance. They stopped serving food well before the stated times, even the ones on the wall in the "cantine". The manager has kindly requested at least an omelette to be made for us. It was a nice touch; we were grateful, but it was not tasty, less than basic. Breakfast is very poor, with no fruits or veggies or healthy options. No clean cutlery or mugs, we had to ask. The environment was not very clean and it was noisy. The room and service were of such a good standard, and the breakfast was not a match at all.

Everything.Location, cleanliness, friendly helpful respectful staff and comfort of room. Water nice and hot. Good choice of breakfast. Mattress on bed and pillows perfect. 10/10 all round. Would recommend to friends and we would use hotel again.

Another resident who was staying in the hotel was rude and i felt ageist towards me in the breakfast area because i walked out in front of him. I did say sorry but he had to make a sarcastic comment to me?

Hotel reception staff friendly and helpful. I liked how there was just near the lifts and near our room 15 on the ground floor, tea, sugar, milk etc, instead of having to keep ring up for them or asking reception staff.

The main bug bear was that there were 3 cards around the room saying we could choose what pillow we liked, Hard… Soft.. Duck/Goose… so I called Reception and asked for two goose/duck pillows as that’s what we sleep on at home for health reasons, I was met with ‘No sorry we don’t do those….. ‘ so why advertise. I didn’t sleep at all well with the four HARD pillows we had, none were soft which would have sufficed. The air conditioning/ heater made such a noise we had to turn it off….

1 room light wasn't working the other bulb was faulty so was a dark room with all the lights on 2 the street racing at 11pm = police helicopter too! 30/40min of nuisance 3 having breakfast sausages cold bacon cold eggs luke warm only thing hot was the tea I made 4 having a shower all fancy dove bottles hair shampoo ½ full body wash empty 5 coming back from breakfast cleaner rushed to elevater and jumped in and closed the doors on us rude? 5 the current roadworks makes the satnav go crazy its not finished enough to be updated so just need to have an idea of where you're going to be able to get here

Clean, tidy and welcoming. Great staff. Super friendly and helpful. Nice layout and easy to find your room. Great amount of parking.

The tables at breakfast when it was busy weren’t cleaned so I had to sit on a dirty table. I only saw one female member of staff and she was having to deal with guests wanting more food brought out to the buffet so she just didn’t have time to do everything. Could do with more than one staff member for the busy times so one can clean tables, one can restock food.

Room immaculate, hotel clean, staff LOVELY, stopped here a few times and will stop again, for events at the NEC/Genting Arena/Resorts World. Uber is £6 to Hall 1 of arena. Breakfast lovely, cooked, cereal and fruit, nice selection of coffees and teas - all if you go at the right time.

Breakfast is great as long as you dont go too late (nothing left at 9.50am on a Saturday morning) as buffet closes at 10am. From about 9.30am onwards they try not to restock breakfast items such as baked beans/milk unless you really push for it.

Before arriving at the hotel, we had left my sister at the Novatel Hotel at the airport. A very expensive hotel. Her room might have had a bigger TV but the Holiday Inn Express was just as comfortable for us, has all we needed and at a great price. What's not to like. I did not understand the parking payment system. Got a £100 fine, but this was canceled after phoning the Hotel reception. Thank you for sorting that out for us.

Even though the hotel is situated near major roads. It was quiet. The hotel staff where extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and enough to go around. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. There was a station to grab more coffee, tea milk etc for your room if you ran out, which I thought was a great touch. As I went through booking.com the price was amazingly cheap. Very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Shops are a ten minute drive. I believe the area as a whole would benefit from a couple of convenience stores.

The refill your boots station is an excellent touch for having a coffee in your room more than once. Housekeeping were friendly and efficient, as were the evening bar and kitchen staff. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was extremely bland and often run out of most items. Only one lift was working during our stay. We did request a travel cot in the room 6 months prior to arrival which was confirmed via email, however this was not done which wasn’t ideal after a long 6 hour drive. We asked for a blanket, this was also never sorted.

Staff were great, very helpful and welcoming. Ate in house in the evening and the chicken curry was fabulous. Breakfast was plentiful and a wide range..started with yoghurt, then Cooked breakfast followed by toast. Good variety of juices and hot drinks. Loved the pancake machine. We were also entertained by the amount of young princesses who were going to Disney on Ice. Great atmosphere. Location perfect for NEC.

Would have liked a self check out because had to wait a couple of minutes whilst staff saw to breakfast guests.
