Safe and secure hostel. 24-hour front desk staff. Very sociable space with activities offered each day/night. Fully stocked kitchen with…..tons of free food!!!!!! Lovely bar with free welcome drink. Ear plugs for noise..needed at the weekend!

Beside train station but not convenient for exploring the rest of the city. Choice of restaurants in immediate location was poor. Side streets are a lonely and I didn’t feel safe exploring on foot, even in the day time, so be vigilant. Stick to the main busier streets.

Awesome staff, free food in kitchen (potatoes, eggs, veggies, fruit, pasta) excellent kitchen. Large room with large lockers (will fit most bags), a closet, private bathroom, lots of socialization (but quiet in room). Lots of freebies. Comfy beds - flat firm pillows. Cleaning was very good. Bring your own towel or rent.

The wifi in my room, especially my bed(202/A) was abysmal. The signal kept dropping and was often slow. Often it would take 5 or more minutes to connect. They loaned me a portable modem, but it wasn't up to the task. It worked in other areas of the hostel, but not my room. Once it connected, the speed was fine. It just had a problem staying connected. Others in the room didn't have this issue as much.

Although not in the centre of Genova, the hostel is well located steps away from Piazza Principe station. The beds were comfortable, and clean, perfectly white sheets were waiting for me upon arrival. Each bed had its own shelf and light. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good pressure. I liked that the lifts are blocked with a code after 8pm for safety. There's a nice terrace and a lovely book corner in the kitchen. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. I didn't try breakfast. Although the bar can be noisy and lively, not sure about the rooms on the first floor, but mine was on the second floor and I couldn't hear anything.

There's nothing I "didn't like". I just would have s bigger sign saying "ostello bello" as I walked past without noticing the hostel haha

the interior was finished up beautifully, was really comfortable and open! travelling alone for the first time i was so worried, but everyone i met was so sweet and the communal kitchen area with free pasta, veggies etc and roof deck made it so easy to make friends! staff were so sweet and things like towels could be rented for two euro, with slippers, shampoo, anything you couldve forgotten being free if you ask at reception (: i didnt do the free walking tour as i explored with some of the girls in my 6 bunk room, but i loved that it was an option if you wanted to meet people or just be shown around!

it is very noisy at night, even with windows closed you can hear music and people outside until the early hours so if that isnt your thing i’d steer clear (: the bar gets very busy certain nights like friday night kareoke with alot of italian students filling the place, so maybe find other entertainment for the weekend if that isnt your thing !

Superbly located next to the main train and bus stations, easy checkin, great kitchen and bar/breakfast area for a quick bite.

During my stay, there was an event organised by the hostel that moved to full loud music late at night. Although events are in principle not an issue, the hostel needs to understand that the main priority for any traveler is a good night sleep and therefore should ensure their events are not impacting their customers. In summary, bring strong earplugs! :-)

Overall a very good Hostel worth your money. Very close to one of the train stations, Metro stations are also nearby. I stayed in a mixed 4 beeds room and it didnt feel like a Hostel. instead of the typical bunk beds the room had seperate individual beds on two levels. Two of the beds were at kind of a loft so they were seperated. The room was big with closets, mini fridge and a nice bathroom. The staff is friendly and helpful. You also get a drink ticket at check in. I would stay here again if im in Genovese.

Its not the nicest neighborhood and no supermermarcet nearby, you have to walk a bit but not too far. Not much opened at night in the neighborhood and the area by the train station feels a bit scetchy. There is also a lot of partying at the Hostel but i wasnt disturbed by it. And also the kitchen area closes at night.

The friendliness of the staff was appreciated as they all spoke english and were helpful with any city based questions. But for me the vibe of its guests just made it an unforgettable experience as the spaces they create for the guests to bond is amazing. They have awesome kitchen access with free pasta and vegetables! There was certainly alot of cooking going on. I know feel like i have a home in Genova as i felt super comfortable here.

The balcony area closes quite early which is understandable but it was such a great place to chill only if you could longer

I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm. The room was nice and big. If you had forgotten anything like a towel, locker, toothbrush or toothpaste they had them there to rent from reception. Great kitchen, chill and bar area. Breakfast available. Free water station and tea and coffee!

I just wish at check in i had been told about the free water station and 'merenda' - biscuits, tea and coffee available for free every afternoon. I didn't have a clue until the last night !

This is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at. The facilities are outstanding—big kitchen, gym, bar where you get a free welcome drink upon arrival and breakfast buffet with a super nice espresso machine. I stayed in a six person dorm and it was super spacious with a big, very nice bathroom, a huge full length mirror and below bed storage that has side areas for locks. Everything was clean and cute and the staff was so friendly. A block from Genova Piazza Principale it is super accessible for day trips although I wouldn’t recommend exploring the neighborhood at night as it is a little dodgy.

The neighborhood isn’t awesome if you’re visiting to explore Genoa but I was mainly taking day trips to cinque terre and portofino so the proximity to the train station was perfect for me.

The location is so good, just 100 meters away from the train station. You do not need to get a taxi to the hostel and it is close to some of the sights of interest. The people working at this hostel are the most intelligent ones I have ever met in hostels all over the world. I liked so much their video with thoughts from all world about traveling, most of them known but reading them together you feel that those people there have the same travel philosophy as yours and that's wonderful - you feel a part of the community. I had a long and cold journey /waiting all night at the cold train station in Milano for the early train from Milano to Genoa/ after my flight from Sofia to Milano. They met me with a glass of wonderful wine that made me feel straight away at home.

I liked everything.
