Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. Hotel was in a lovely quiet area on the lake side opposite the boat pick up point for transport round the lake. Hotel was spotlessly clean. A continental breakfast was offered at extra cost and had a lovely selection of choice. The most panoramic lake view in the restaurant!!!!

The only area that we felt could have been improved was the lack of relaxation space outside. We had a small area in the front of the hotel over looking the lake with a small garden. however we had previously seen photos of a lovely roof terrace that we were told was now used for additional bedrooms. This would have been a perfect

Hotel Orso Bruno exceeded our high expectations. It's location is brilliant, literally less than fifty metres in front of the small pier that the ferry boats pull into. The views over the lake from the restaurant are breathtaking. The staff are wonderful and could not do enough for us, Antonia even drove us down the lake to catch another ferry when the one that was due into Urio was unexpectedly cancelled due to an engine fault. We ate in their restaurant every night and the food was superb as were the staff, all of whom were very engaging, warm and professional. The hotel was very clean and our room had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities in our room which unfortunately many continental hotels do not provide. We would book Hotel Bruno again without hesitation and probably will do!

Orso Bruno is a small establishment so our rooms were on separate floors but easy to get to. This was just a stopover to break up a long drive home (with 2 kids in the car) so it fit the bill. The view of Lake Como was accessible to us (just across the road) and it was beautiful. You could catch a ferry ride from right next door! We weren't able to enjoy their restaurant as it was closed that day. Good parking that could accommodate our large car (with reservation in advance).

The reservations for both rooms were made at the same time. The 4 person room had breakfast included, but our room for 2 did not. We happily paid for it ... there was a good selection. Our grandkids are 10 and 4 and needed to expend some energy after being cooped up in the car; we ended up driving to find a playground.

This was our first stop during a 3-week stay in Italy. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a very nice view of Lake Como. It is situated directly across the street from a ferry stop for convenient travel to other lake towns. The hotel provides a delicious, full breakfast buffet with many choices and will also make you fresh scrambled eggs. The eating area, which is very nice, overlooks the lake and is also a nightly restaurant that had excellent food. The owners, Antonia and Samuel, were on site, friendly, and very attentive. You can tell the pride in their attention to detail. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved the little village Urio. The ferry and bus stop is directly across the street and it was super convenient. The restaurant served wonderful breakfast and also had a great lunch and dinner menu as well. There’s also a fantastic restaurant directly across the water that I found myself at often. Samuel and the staff were incredibly accompanying and were always so helpful in assisting me with needs, directions or amenities for my room. I will definitely come back again!

Everything was really great. I just wish the mattress was more comfortable for I have a terrible back but other than that, it was wonderful.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is located near the lake, having an amaizing view. You can take the boat from the front of the hotel in order to get to Bellagio/Varenna and all the others place within the lake. Also the bus station for C10/C20 it 10 min away. Our room was just like in the pictures, very clean and with a nice balcony. I also recomand the breakfast, is really good and the restaurant has a wonderful view to the lake. The host.was really really nice, she answerd to all our questions and advise us what would be the best options jn order to visit the lake and also as it was my birthday during our staying, she offered us 2 glasses of prosecco. A BIG thank you!!! I trully recommand it! 10/ 10

The view was fantastic and the staff was wonderful. Also, the restaurant was beautiful, casual and delicious. 

It is right on the narrow main road that has no sidewalks. Though it is quiet with the windows closed in your room, it can feel a bit isolating since there is little immediately around the hotel. There is, however a ferry stop immediately across the street and a wonderful wine bar downstairs, there is also one other restaurant next to the ferry stop which looked beautiful and was right on the lake.

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a water ferry stop. This also means that the hotel has lakefront views from some of the rooms and the dining area. The rooms were very spacious and modern, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They always answered our questions and for breakfast even remembered our favorites. This was the best hotel my wife and I stayed at during our two-week trip through Italy. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here during their trip to Lake Como.

Staff were super helpful. Arthur and his colleagues were kind, professional and gave us loads of information to make our trip in Como really memorable. The hotel is literally opposite the ferry stop and close to bus stops. They also have parking which was really convenient- by the way, we would really recommend renting a car in Como as it’s much easier to get around.

Welcoming staff upon arrival & throughout the stay. Breakfast was fantastic with a lovely spread & amazing views of the lake. Big spacious bathroom with powerful shower. Bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend the lake view room, views from both bedroom and bathroom are stunning to wake up to. Special touch at breakfast with a birthday cake. Evening meal was very good, both the gnocchi and pizza was amazing. Hotel had a very comforting feel & homely touch to it. Overal very impressed and would visit again. Would also recommend to others. Perfect location with the Urio port being on the doorstep.

Nothing critical of the hotel itself but night life can be quiet unless you rely on taxis or hire a car as the last boat back to urio is around 7:30pm. That being said there was no english channels on the tv if you do have a quiet night in.
