Andrew and Sanae made our first trip to Hakuba so enjoyable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth from them, and they were so knowledgeable in their tips and recommendations for anything Hakuba-related! The actual accomodation was so warm and cozy, and the beds were big and comfortable. The rooms were super clean, amazing to go back to after a long day of skiing. We enjoyed the breakfast spread every morning, and definitely ask Sanae for her famous hotpot, it was so good! The location was also very strategic, the free ski shuttle buses were just outside our doorstep, and food and shops were within walking distance. We will definitely be coming back to Hakuba Haven Lodge when we go back to Hakuba, it’s truly such good value for money and made our trip so memorable.

Haven Lodge was so incredible and the best accommodation that we stayed at over our entire trip in Japan! Felt like a home away from home. The owners are so friendly, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make your stay in Hakuba everything you want it to be. Nothing is too much trouble. The lodge is warm and cosy and the rooms are everything you could ask for. The common areas are comfortable and a great place to make new friends 😊 Could not recommend the Haven Lodge any more for your stay in Hakuba

The amazing hospitable people who run the place. They were always very accommodating for all our needs. I've stayed at many places in hakuba over the last 10 years and none have ever had the homily feel that I felt staying here. It was like being at home away from home. Location is perfect far enough that you don't have to hear the hustle and bustle from the main drag down echoland but you're only a 7 min away so it's extremely accessible plus the shuttle bus for the mountains is literally just outside the property. Andy and Senai (and the rest of the staff) were absolutely amazing and offered such a great experience I will definitely be back for a stay and a gin and tonic with Andy

The most amazing hosts who go out of their way to make sure you have a great trip. They will pick you up when you arrive, help you with hiring your ski/snowboard equipment and are always around to provide advice on Hakuba or just for a general chat. The lodge was in a great location with a bus stop at the end of the street to take you to all the slopes. The room was clean and well heated, and the free continental breakfast was such a bonus. Will be back to stay for sure!

Fantastic place to stay while in Hakuba. Andy and Sanoe were so welcoming and helpful. Provided pickup from the station and helped with ski hire. They provided great advice for where to go skiing and eating/drinking. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy. We liked the bed and breakfast style and the location was perfect. Close to bus stops and good restaurants and cafes.

Breakfast was simple but delicious, a good start to the day. We enjoyed the homeliness of the lodge and the easy interaction between staff and guests.

The bed room was a little dusty but clean and comfortable. Maybe an extra pillow would have been great but am just being picky now.

The hosts and staff were unbelievable friendly and helpful. They had great knowledge of the valley and where to find the best skiing. Rooms were clean and the shared space is great to chill out in after a big day. Location is close to the main strip of restaurants and to bus stops going all over the valley. Hot breakfast is available if that is your style. and Hot pot dinner is also available. Great stay, will be returning :)

The friendly hosts and atmosphere in the lounge area. Hosts were friendly, warm and helped with booking restaurants, hiring ski gear and navigating transport options. We would.love to come back.

No wifi in the cottage, but not that big of a deal

Everyone at the lodge was super friendly and gave plenty of advice on where to go and what to do in hakuba. Location was perfect, super close to the main echoland strip and heaps of busses. All facilities were also very well kept and clean. Sanae and Andrew were lovely hosts and Sanae's home made hotpot was to die for!
