I have come home from Hakuba so incredibly happy. I cannot fault anything about my stay. The staff at the Panorama Hotel, and everywhere in the village for that matter, are so beautiful and willing to go above and beyond to assist, something that is not that common in Australia. From the minute we booked the staff were in touch to offer assistance in arranging our transport, lift passes and lessons. This made our arrival 10x easier. They were also happy to accept and store our snowboard in advance as we were travelling around Japan prior to Hakuba and didn’t want to lug it around with us. I had a minor hiccup with my plans and the beautiful ladies at Panorama were able to fix it for me in a matter of minutes. The accommodation itself is quite standard for a ski village and suited our needs just fine as we were out all day skiing. Waking up on the first morning to it snowing and a view of the mountains from our room was something else! Having breakfast provided made things a lot easier before a full day of skiing and the restaurant and bar on-site was a great way to unwind after a big day. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and cannot wait to stay again soon.

That I had to leave.

Rooms were very comfortable with a lovely view of the mountain. The Onsen was great. The drying room worked well. A short walk into the town 5-10 mins. Shuttle pick up from train station on arrival was great. Staff very helpful. Shuttle bus to one of the nearby ski fields picks up and drops off at the hotel. The Taproom is a great place for a beer at the end of the day.

For a skil trip the Panorama is well very set up, although it is about a 10min walk to the nearest lift, and for some of the nearby ski fields it is a 10 min walk to the bus station for the shuttle bus. Brreakfast was adequate but certainly nothing to get excited about.

The hotel onsen was the highlight of our stay - It was very clean and the perfect way to relax after a long day of skiing. We also really enjoyed the included breakfast every morning. The hotel is also very close to many shuttle bus stops to easily get to the slopes. Finally, the fact that the staff were so friendly and offered to drop us off at the train station was exceptional!

Our room's bathroom was very cramped and didn't have a bidet. The room was clean, but the top bunk bed was very dusty and triggered my allergies. Some staff were less attentive than others and gave us unclear directions for the shuttle stop.

We loved the friendly helpful staff, the handy location and the lovely modern and comfortable rooms with breathtaking views.

The drying room facility didn’t match the high quality level for the rest of the hotel. It seemed to make your ski boots wetter. Spending a bit of money on a better heating system and proper shelving would improve this a lot. We had to take our ski boots to our room at night for them to dry properly. Putting on a wet boot in the morning is not fun, especially if it is -7 outside

In house bar was ok, views were nice and although not that central, not too far out of town. English easily spoken.

Breakfast always the same and not very extensive menu. Staff wouldn't arrange hotel shuttle bus except for transfers to the train / bus station and as it was early in the season the public shuttle was not yet running. Too far to walk to the gondola with young children without arranging taxis. Cleaners "forgot" to make up the room on some days.

Had all the basics we needed and fantastic staff who helped with drinks, reservations, and transportation. Great drying room for equipment and safe. Super easy check in and out. And offered service to ship luggage which was fantastic for shipping our gear in/out. It was close to the resorts, but also bus stops to other Hakuba Valley resorts. The bar restaurant is also great for western breakfast, drinks, and dinner. The onsen was an additional bonus for my group!

Water in the shower didn’t stay consistently hot. Beds and pillows are a little harder than I prefer, but that’s the Japanese way.

Staff were so helpful from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and they provided great assistance with liaising with ski hire place, luggage forwarding, restaurant bookings and even helped us at the train station on our departure. Onsen was perfect after skiing and was never crowded. Breakfast was great. Simple selection but what was needed prior to hitting the slopes. Location is just out of main village area but east walking distance to slopes and village ski shuttles were great to get to diff mountains. Overall had the best time and would definitely return to Panorama!

Nothing. All was great.

The in-house restaurant/bar was great, lovely helpful staff and great food. Laundry facilities were excellent. Location is 15 minutes away from the main bus terminal when walking in ski boots. Warm rooms.

Pillows and beds are both very firm, took a little while to become accustomed to, but were similar to other guest experiences in Japanese accommodation.

The staff are exceptionally helpful! They had offered great help to us during our trip! Since we visit hakuba in summer season, it's a beautiful & silence town! The taphouse in lobby offered different kinds of excellent craft beer while i like the one from Hakuba brewing company most!! The location was great since it just need a 5 mins walk to the bus station and LAWSON!

A great hotel within walking distance of the Hoppa-One lifts! A hearty buffet breakfast was served every morning in the first floor tap room. The onsen was clean and enjoyable. The ski/board/boot room was located conveniently at the entrance to the hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. The tap room had a great selection of beer, with a knowledgeable staff. The food and atmosphere were fun.

While the ski/board/boot room was convenient, it was a bit small and got crowded at the end of the day. When we came off the slopes late in the afternoon, we had very few options of where to hang our boards and place our boots. Our family’s equipment ended up being spread all over the room. Not a deal breaker by any means though. Also, if you don’t have a car, it could be a bit inconvenient to eat anywhere other than the tap room.
