Excellent location, close to restaurants, shops and parks. Lovely room including coffee machine. It felt very comfortable!

Staff at the reception is not friendly, breakfast at the top roof restaurant was a bit busy and uncomfortable for hotel guests after 11 am

Excellent location on the park, beautiful area, great for walks, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. Staff are superb with a wonderful attitude and very welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful. Excellent gym.

The only criticism is that the restaurant at the rooftop, Contessa serves as a breakfast venue, and it’s gorgeous but the hostess staff are not the friendliest or most polite. Both times we ate there, they made us feel a little less welcome. The restaurant also has a limited menu. I would recommend trying it once, but then go elsewhere and try something else.

Excellent location, Newbury Street and Boylston just around the corner, wonderful atmosphere, very helpful staff, especially the street bar with a wonderful crew (thanks to Tim and Tyler). A nice place to stay at in Boston if you want to feel home.

It is an old building, so some of the pipes need to be obviously redone/cleaned, we had some problems with a stinking bath room and could move to another room fortunately. In general choose a room without a fireplace in winter. The air seems to circulate more in those rooms and they are colder. The air condition is also pretty outdated and loud. The restaurant on top of the building called "Contessa" is a special place and doesn't really fit into the concept somehow. The view is nice, but the food is unfortunately disappointing.

The property is in an excellent location across from the park & walking distance of Charles River with friendly staff. It was very clean & comfortable. Lovely towels and great views on the 17th floor. Must try for breakfast.

I was very surprised with my check-in. I know it’s a busy place, but we were not offered even a cold glass of water. She did not tell us about amenities, such as the gym or the magnificent restaurant on the 17th floor, where they serve breakfast. They don’t offer water in the rooms, but you can get them downstairs. No attention to details for a 5-star hotel!

The location was perfect! Just walking distance to the Prudential Center, shopping, restraunts, the Boston Commons Park and downtown. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, however, the room we had was the perfect view overlooking the park. The staff was extremely friendly from the time we entered the building to when we checked out! Everyone of the staff was smiling and attentive! The hotel was gorgeous and rooms were spacious, modern elegant decor, quiet and exceptionally clean! The gym was great, even had a refreshment area for water and energy drinks, which was perfect for my husband.

Perfectly located in Back Bay. The room had a fantastic view over the park with the city in the background, definitely worth picking a park view. The room was very spacious.

Nothing really. This is not the fault of the hotel: the (perfect) location of the hotel is in Back Bay, and Boston has heavy traffic in rush hour, so if you are traveling for business with most of your early meetings in the business district in South Boston / Waterfront, take this into account in your travel time.

The hotel decor is lovely and the place has a nice chilled out vibe. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was a good size and had plenty of storage space/hangers etc and it overlooked the Common which was great. Breakfast was very tasty. Brilliant location. I will definitely be staying here again.

I'm nitpicking - Bathroom floor was freezing - wish I'd brought some slippers with me. The heating was a little noisy.

The room was beautiful - elegant and tastefully decorated. The view of the garden was lovely. Most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast at Contessa was spectacular and the service was impeccable. The bartender on the first floor was wonderful - very professional and friendly. The overall experience was top notch. We can't wait to go back.

The tablet in the room seemed to not be working - could not connect to other services. The fan was very loud, even when turned down to the lowest setting. The host at the bar on the first floor was not particularly welcoming - He could use some additional training in hospitality.
