This property is in a great location, and is one of few in the area with a nice place to sit outside each room as well as around the pool. Staff is very helpful. If you’re looking for a great price + great location, this is it.

This is my second stay here and I have friends who have been coming here for 15+ years. It is an older hotel and it really needs some updates and TLC. If you’re looking for a great price + great location, this is it. If you’re looking for high class, you’ll be underwhelmed.

Location was spot on, inside the walls and close to everything you need! Rooms were big and comfortable and had a fridge which was filled with water everyday. The pool was great, we enjoyed the bar there too, the owner of the bar was a really kind guy!

I would have preferred a better shower, I wasn’t able to stand underneath it and had to hold the shower to get washed and I’m only 5ft 6in. The sunbeds around the pool could do with being replaced, a lot of them were broken.

I think any place in the old city is good. inside the wall perimeter everything is at a convenient distance. also the red taxi make things affordable. and if you don’t want to wait on anyone grab is also phenomenal. kickboxing right next door for your entertainment. the property is what you expect from a budget friendly hotel. everything in my room worked perfectly and the cleaning lady was always on top of it. didn’t skip out on the water also. the pool was great to have a relaxing moment to break the day in half. if you want to catch some sun while swimming I suggest 1100-1500, after that the massive property covers the pool with its shadow. it was only 150 baht for a taxi from the airport.

needs a little touch up but that seems par for the course with the majority of hotels in the area.

The perfect location - right next to Tha Phae gate, food everywhere, great hustle and bustle. We loved the breakfast, it was great value for money and the ladies that worked there were just lovely! Room was nice and spacious, and nice to sit on the balcony outside the room, although it was shared it was pleasant.

The only thing wrong with it was the shower, which was either freezing cold or scalding hot - not a problem for me but for my 3 year old not great...we will be staying again in a couple of weeks but this time I will test the shower before I unpack my bags and request a different room if it's the same...

An enormous room, with a panoramic view of the mountains. Sited right near the Thapae Gate, on the Moat, but 50 m back from the street so its quiet.Great pool area and with a small brekkie bar. TV has a few western news channels. Lovely helpful staff. I'm so impressed I extended my stay a week

Aircon a bit noisy. No coffee/tea in roon, however u can borrow a kettle.Poor choice at brekkie bar.

The optional breakfast is cheap, but WAY to simpel. Some things in the rooms are years old, but management fixes all very well!

Very clean, nice pool, very quiet and the front desk staff are wonderful!!!! I’ll stay here again if I’m ever back in Chiang Mai!

Sadly, the breakfast offered at the pool for $80 baht was not very good
