The only confusing part is the registration, so apparently they are the PINES hotel malacca, same building but different ownership The registration booth is only open from 9-9pm It IS the JAYA 99 building

Room is very clean, very spacious, you get towels, a great shower, and a quiet place to rest after a day of visiting charming Melaka. Check in went smoothly, hassle free. Very friendly host, would definitely recommend staying here and I know I will be when I come back to Melaka.

I have no complaints really. However some advice for travelers is to bring your own slippers and an adaptor for the outlets.

Calm, big, Nice and clean swimming pool,. Confortable bed. Clean A bit far from the old city but easy to go and I actually like the place as it's near the river and there is some local restaurants around.

Located in the Pines building, you have access to great facilities - rooftop pool and gym - at a lower price than Pine's guests. Views from the apartment are AMAZING, and the room is very spacious, consisting of a bed area, plus a sofa and kitchen area. Bed was big and comfortable, and it was overall clean.

Location is not ideal - Expect 30 min walk to reach the center, and having very few restaurant / supermarket options around. This shouldn't be a big issue though, Grab rides are cheap in Malaysia and the quality of the room and facilities are great to account for this. The only improvement point would be the check-in process.

Tall building with a great view of the city as well as the sunrise in the morning. The room was big and comfortable.

To reach each floor, you need to use the keycard for a room on that floor. This means that if you want to visit a friends room on another floor, you basically have to meet them in the lobby as there's no way to go to their floor without them. My room included a "spa" which, I have no idea what a spa is apparently because I just had a bathtub. The bathtub had a hose that was supposed to be attached to the drain in the ground, mine wasn't. The level bracket that keeps it raised off the ground was also not attached.....meaning it wasn't screwed in. Water wouldn't drain properly and it wasn't safe to use since it wasn't level. The hotel is also far from everything. You need a Grab from the bus station, and a Grab to the downtown area, so it's not super convenient.

Clean and Comfortable Rooms: The hotel offers spacious and well-appointed rooms designed with cleanliness in mind. The linens and towels are changed daily and washed using eco-friendly and hypoallergenic detergents.

The wifi service is very bad. The speed is only 1mbps. The room is located on the 28th floor, and the internet provider's service speed is too slow. The room does not provide an iron board and iron; you have to request it at the counter.

I stayed three nights and first time accounted there was no cleaning and tidying of the hotel room daily!😮wait till I check out. Another negative point was, we will be charging expensively if we park our car at The Pine hotel! After all, we were still guest of the hotel! Right?

I liked it’s close proximity to the Melaka River and it was only 14 minutes away (on foot) from the historical centre and The Shore mall. There is a restaurant downstairs and there are many other places to eat nearby.

I didn’t like that there were dishes in the studio. I also didn’t like that the bathroom wasn’t squeaky clean. Plus there is no soundproofing whatsoever. You can hear people in the hallway and you can hear people dragging chairs in other units.
