The fire alarm was activated due to the water leaking on the hotel floor in level 2 at midnight. Hotel guests bring their luggage at the midnight and most of them tot there’s fire happening in the hotel. While there’s no proper execution of emergency case and also there’s no proper announcement what is the next step. Most of guests just crowd on the reception and wait for the response. This is unacceptable yet we didn’t receive any proper apologise. This is my second time to visit and disappointed with this incident. Great location, nice I D and style

1st room had window but view was a wall 2ft away! No clothes hangers in bathroom No fridge 2nd room ( We upgraded) nice balcony overlooking river Aircon controller not working Jacuzzi switch not working General- deposit taken is only refunded after 7-10 days Bar/restaurant cannot charge to room, cash only

The room was very spacious and clean, with a large bathroom too. The staff was super friendly and they even helped us out printing some documents we needed for onward travel. The design of the lobby (and the rest of the hotel really) is really cool so as soon as you enter the hotel you can feel the boutique vibe. Location of the hotel is great too; close to Jonker Walk (where the night market is on the weekends) and the Red Square/Dutch Square with all the historic buildings, lots of good food options close by as well.

The view out of the window in our room wasn't spectacular but it was great to have at least some natural light coming into the room. We didn't have breakfast included in our booking but tried it 1 morning and it was ok, nothing too special so for the price I'd recommend eating breakfast out.

Room was comfortable. Shower was good. WiFi good. Location is good - river front and only a short walk to Jonker Street. Lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

On our first night the fire alarm went off at 5am. Guests congregated on street for approx. 20 minutes before a staff member finally arrived to tell us it was a false alarm. No apology from him and no mention of it or apology from staff or management the following day! Front desk staff unable to answer even the most basic questions, eg. was there a decent beach nearby. We suspected that being on the Straits there wouldn't be (polluted water, etc) but asked anyway. Response: they didn't know if there were any beaches nearby!

The view is good and location is very good too. Nice view from the balcony and you can just chill at the balcony to enjoy the view. We really like the room!Room is very spacious and toilet is very clean. Will come back for the stay again. Good experience and staffs were very attentive. Quick check in and out process.

One thing that I forget to mention to the staff during my stay is that we noticed there's few yellow stains/spots on the bed sheet (considerably big/ as big as a mini shoulder bag). We slept on the bed still while covering some extra layer on it. Staff needs to clean the bed more carefully before the next guest checking in provided there's the pandemic situation going on now. It might make the guest query if the housekeeping staff actually clean/sanitise the room properly before the arrival of next guest.

The suite room with the balcony view was excellent. The river view was great. The room was clean and the smart TV was a surprise. Lots of entertainment provided. We love the hotel location which is near Jonker St, the historical buildings and within the vicinity, lots of shops to explore. Love the cafe next door that provide excellent breakfast and coffee. It was nice sitting outside the balcony and enjoying the view.

It can be a bit noisy with the band/singing coming from the bar across the river if you are ready to sleep, Not too loud - bearable but its there. But on the other hand, it was entertaining if we sit outside the balcony with our wine.

It's clean and it worth the price.

The room that the hotel provided for me was located just behind the reception counter and the lobby, it's noisy as expected because the guests keep talking at the lobby. Still think it's fine in the evening but when midnight turns (around 12am to 1am) there was two guests keep talking loudly in the lobby, it's irritable. The hotel should tell the guest not to talk so loudly in the lobby in the midnight. Overall the hotel was good.

The room was comfortable, the bed was comfortable though a little low for my liking. Bedding was luxurious. Bathroom was clean. Great shower head, with plenty of hot water. The ambience and decorations in the hotel were beautiful for a boutique hotel. It's close to all the locations I wanted to visit. I didn't realize the the river was right behind the hotel so that was a pleasant find. I could have paid extra to check in early but I didn't see the need as they were willing to store my bags for me. I'll definitely return to this hotel if I ever find myself in Malacca again.

The deposit of RM200.00. It was not clear to me during booking that I would have to put that down. And when I found out I thought was rather steep. They do accept credit cards for the deposit but it would take 7 to 10 days to clear out, which I didn't want to do. So be sure to have that extra money when you check in!

Only one room card provided. They SHOULD provide fans inside the room as the aircond takes a while to cool. Not to mention Malacca is super hot.

- the interior was nice (instagramable). - walking distance to the Melaka River/Jonker Walk etc. - the room was spacious plus point toilet was clean. - stroller and wheelchair accessible.

- need to pay RM200 for deposit (cash - recommended). - parking available but FIRST COME FIRST SERVE (less then 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel). - less choice of breakfast spread (my suggestion: booking a room without breakfast and give a morning stroll around the town to get nice breakfast).
