Parking is secured. 4 lots locked behind gate compound. 2 lots surrounded by cone and they will shift your vechile when lots inside are available. You have to pass them your keys to do so. Rooms are clean, infact I waited a long while for them to cleanup the room prior to check in and saw them cleaning the room next to me, yes they mop the floor. Amenities are all there, toothbrush, paste, towels, water, coffee, boiler, smart tv and 2 big beds. Service is exceptional. All of them, from reception to cleaner to cooks, all of them smiles, friendly and did their best to assist you with your queries. Breakfast variety isnt alot but its good enough, porridge, nasi lemak, beehoon, pasta, bread, egg, cake, hotdogs, redang chicken etc. Location is perfect, jonker is basically next to it, near to crowd yet not noisy. Its a boutique hotel, the history, the design, the people, the space and comfort. I will choose this hotel again if i visit melaka.

They own 2 building and only 1 has reception. There is no fridge in room but not major issue. There are mosquito in room, got bitten once or twice but they do provide electrical repellant. No lift and tight small steps for stairs but hey these are all original structures of these houses. If you can appreciate the beauty of the house, a ll the above arent a problem to me

The hotel is within 5minutes of Jonker Street. The rooms were clean. loved the mini buffet breakfast provided. The staff are very attentive and are quick to help. Initially we struggled with the stairs within the room as we found it quite steep but we got used to it. The staff were very helpful and carried our luggage up the stairs to our room.

the wifi was not working in our room. we were in 202 and for some reason the signal was weak. staff could not fix the problem for us during the stay.

We love the charming n unique look of this Peranakan building. Thank you for restoring and preserving this heritage building. We also like that it is centrally located and so near to fro everywhere, Jonker Street is a short walk away, good restaurants along the street just few doors away from hotel, we had delicious nyonya meal at Kocik Heritage. Hotel room is spacey with a loft. Great choice when you travel with a teenager :). Also love the high ceiling and wooden windows.

It can get a bit noisy from the street below and can hear people talking next door but it didn’t bother us that much.

Location was good being just a short street away from Jonker at a generally quiet area. Stayed in a 4-person room which had 2 floors with the bedroom on the upper floor. Room was clean and WiFi was good. Buffet breakfast was simple but good consisting mainly local menu. Reception and breakfast area is opposite of the hotel at the Palm Heeren Suite. Overall had a great stay.

Bedroom was on the upper floor with the toilet in the lower floor of the room. Something to consider if there are elderly members in the group due to need to climb up and down stairs.

very near Jonker walk. And accessible to other parts nearby. staff was friendly and helpful. room was comfy. I took the family suite with upstairs. take note there is no elevator. also breakfast and check-in is at Heeren palm suite (just across from the straits hotel)

hard to find parking but thankfully I got a hotel parking (at Heeren Palm Suite) the hard boiled egg during breakfast isn’t entirely hard.

The location is within a walking distance to Jonker while still comfortably located away from the busy street. Rooms are spacious, suitable for a big family. Breakfast provided at the Heeren Palm Suites, about few minutes walk, a beautiful place itself. Definitely will consider coming back.

A miscommunication from the staff, during check in on method of deposit payment. Been told that deposit can be paid via TnGo ewallet although it should be by cash or Credit Card. That led to difficulties of reclaiming the deposit back during check out.

The Heeren Straits Hotel, is hands down, one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in South East Asia. It is the best hotel I've been to in Malaysia in 2019 and 2022. The staff are very professional, friendly and considerate. The room is beautiful, and Mt compliments to the housekeeping staff who show great attention to detail. The rooms was spotless, the bed very comfortable. It's quiet, and the location is perfect. As for value for money, it is well worth it. I'll definitely be back.

The staff were friendly and approachable. The breakfast was simple but nice. The room was clean and awesome. The Hotel was near and within walking distance to eating places.

Driving to park the car was a bit far and the entrance to the parking place was a bit narrow and small. However, the staff assisted to take and drive the car from the parking place to the hotel after we checked out.

The hotel workers are very friendly and attentive, and the hotel itself is located strategically near Jonker Street. It's a few minutes walk to Jonker Street and there are a few cafes within walking distance. The price is very reasonable as well, especially since there's a buffet breakfast and complimentary drinks

It can be loud at night because of the traffic outside

The Deluxe room was wonderful, comfortable, large, neat, clean, quiet, well equipped. The service was pleasant, accommodating, helpful. The location was great, near Jonker Street, major tourist attractions. Parking is free, if available.

If you're disabled, it would be tough to climb up 2 floors with your luggage. Property could arrange for street parking coupons to make the stay easier if parking is not available on the premises
