I ❤️ Villa Molek! So many things to tell you but I'll start with the welcome drinks. That's a... welcomed surprise, top class hospitality. The manager, Rosli, is soft spoken and professional. Let's get this straight. I'm not in anyway affiliated to VM, not paid to write this review. Paid for my own accommodation, in fact 2 villas. VM is built to resemble a Malay village set amongst the tropical trees, palms and bamboo so expect it to be rustic. Someone complained that the "location in front of the hotel is not very nice but this is usually the case". Please check out Malay villages and reassess your feedback. Nothing wrong with the front. There are steps as well as a ramp. It's a tidy gravel driveway. I hi-5 those giving 10 points, they get it. I concur with each and every review. I'll add that it's a home away from home but without having to lift a finger, just kick back and chill! In the villa itself the ambience, as some call it "vibe", is rustic. The wooden furniture, timber wall panel, and lovely four poster bed complete with mosquito netting, all tie in with the, I'm going to introduce a new concept to some of you, Kampung culture. I'm totally in love with it. None of the "brand new" plasticky, artificial things that so fill our lives (as someone mentioned the room facilities are old, well at least the furniture lasts). It's old world charm. A big plus, power sockets are dotted throughout the villa. Someone complained that the pool needs to be cleaned regularly. Well that happens when the pool is built near trees, so are just leaves, naturally doing their thing with gravity's help. Yet someone complained about the breakfast. I find it sufficient and coffee is good. I had poached eggs one morning and scramble eggs the next, thank you chef. I don't get those who leave a one word 1 point review.

the pool area wasn’t kept up well - the pool was murky our first day there, the cushions on loungers were old and worn, the area around the pool wasn’t clean. the receptionist who checked us (I don’t think he was regular receptionist, it was Ramadan) was very pushy about selling us a mangrove tour the minute we walked in. we took the tour and found it sold down the street for $120 R cheaper for two down the street. The breakfast area was closed and they bought breakfast in our room - pretty limited and boring. there was only one fork so we had to share. The first day the breakfast included some nice baked goods but after that the only baked goods were store light bread. we did enjoy the peace and quiet there, the location and the comfort of the room.

loved the relaxed vibe and a bonus that there is a wildlife corridor .. saw Hornbills, Giant Squirrels, Silver Leaf Monkeys .. amazing!!!

pool needed cleaning

We recently stayed at Villa Molek to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and I have to say, my husband and I was blown away by the excellent service and beautiful villa with a balinese vibes. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a refreshing welcome drink. The staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The villa itself is situated 5 minutes drive from Cenang beach, surrounded by lush greenery and relaxing environment. The villa itself were spacious for the both of us and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool area was also a highlight, though we never got the chance to swim in it. Breakfast was served in our villa which we enjoyed a lot. But what really set this villa apart was the service. Every member of the staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. They made us feel like a valued guest, and we appreciated their efforts to make our stay so memorable. Overall, I highly recommend Villa Molek for anyone looking for a romantic getaway and relaxing experience with top-notch service. Can't wait to return soon!!!

Nothing. Everything is perfect!!

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, every guests was treated with personal care. They helped us book a Mangroove tour, arranged the payment and the taxi, and asked us if we liked it. Breakfast was amazing, not too many people and you get asked what you'd like to drink (after a couple of days, they remembered our orders) and if they can prepare an egg dish for you. The room/villa itself was luxerous size for two people. With a small open kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Toilet and showers were outside.

Might be smart to cover off the fruits during breakfast, as fruitflies did collect on it.

The location is good- not too far from the airport and walkable to popular areas. The staff was very kind. They even gave us holiday cookies- nice touch. They supplied water each day. The toiletries were nice. There are good restaurants nearby- highly recommend La Bodega. Be sure to rent a car or download the Grab app for getting around the island.

The pool was smaller/more shallow than expected. Not really an area for sunbathing, however, the beach is nearby. It was good for relaxation.

Villa Molek is a little gem, a quiet oasis across the road from the beach, about 3 minutes walk. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries were provided. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The pool was peaceful and set in shady gardens. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed meals at the Red Sky bar which was on site.

I came here for my honeymoon. The staff kindly did flower and towel decorations to commemorate the occasion in the bedroom. They allowed early check in and late check out. The manager Rosli was very nice and went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay. The owners Kak Su and Peter was also very accommodating and made us feel at home. Villa Molek is just across the street from The Hidden bar and restaurant and Pantai Tengah, and 10 - 15 minutes walk to Pantai Cenang. There was Sunset Laundry just next door which was so convenient. I wished I stayed so much longer than just 5 days!

To be honest, the breakfast could have had more variety. But the coffee was good.

Villa Molek is a great place to stay at. It's in a very quiet and beautiful setting. With trees everywhere, it kinda feels like having a home in the middle of a tropical forest. It is also really well located. Literally next to Pentai Tengah and within a 10mins walk from Pentai Chenang. There is also a really cool bar called the Nest a few meters down the street, which was great for a couple evening drinks. Staff was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

The owners Suzanna & Peter were really friendly and hands on when it comes to guest’s comfort & needs. Rooms were spacious & comfortable, environment is very cozy and relaxing. Rooms will be made up daily, clean towels and new water bottles will be stocked up. One of the best stays in langkawi, not the luxurious type of hotel but Peter & Suzanna’s hospitality will make you feel like home. It’s just a minute walk to the beach and there are few eateries around if you wish to dine out. Besides the usual breakfast treats, Suzanne will also make one local dish for breakfast, in lieu of introducing Malaysia specialities to foreigners.
