Great place, quiet, well equiped, large room, clean bathroom. Nice place by the pool. Safe district for solo travelers, 8 min walking from bus terminal, close to collectivos station, shops, groceries store, restaurants and main road. Hosts are so kind, so welcoming and helpfull, very available. Breakfast is great and quite full. You can rent a bike close to the hotel. Cristian and Sabrina advise well for diving centers, day trips, cenotes,... I had a very lovely stay.

We had the pleasure to stay a full week at Hotel Howlita. The owners of this hotel are what makes this place truly amazing! They were always willing to help and gave plenty of useful tips to make the most out of our trip. We loved the personal touch and the daily check ins with the owners during breakfast. We loved the breakfast each morning, it was so tasty. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the location of the hotel; it’s walking distance from downtown Tulum (many great restaurants closeby), but quiet at night. Truly no cons for this place. Highly recommend!

The hosts were amazing and welcoming. They made us feel like home. Location was good - just a ten minutes walk to main street. We got some recommendations for restaurants, cenotes and where we can rent bikes and scooters. Freshly prepared breakfast - with a plate of fruits, yogurt & granola and a choice of eggs We had 7 different hotels during our stay in Yucatan, at Howlita we had by far the best sleep, the beds were really comfortable and it was quiet. We highly recommend Howlita. It was a great end to our Yucatan round trip. We even got a ride to the bus station.

The property is perfectly located to easily walk to any and all of the GREAT local bars and restaurants. It is also very close to the ruins at Tulum and just a 30-35 minute ride to THE MOST BEAUTIFUL cenote “Dos Ojos”. The couple who manage (and live at) the property are incredibly friendly and are happy to help you with any and all questions or concerns you might have about how to get where you want to go or even great local options for places to eat/drink. They speak fluent English, Spanish, and Italian. They have a very cute dog as well 🥺. The property is extremely well maintained and clean. The pool provides a relaxing escape during the afternoon (the hottest part of the day) to go back and rest/swim/cool off. I highly recommend!!

Christian was extremely helpful from the very beginning of our Tulum trip planning, suggesting activities and helping with pickup from airport and coordinating car rental. When we arrived, they were accommodating to our needs, actively trying to make us feel welcomed and at ease. Breakfast was personalized and of great quality. The rooms were clean, well illuminated. A/C were working as needed. The bathroom was clean as well as the towels and bedsheets.

I had a broken foot and the stairs to the breakfast area were difficult to manage. But, I am pretty sure that I could have asked for breakfast at another location of the hotel. The hotel location is rural and dark and lonely at night. Being this the only obstacle, everything was great!

We got a free upgrade which was a nice surprise! The staff were super friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants etc. The breakfast was delicious and the pool area was lovely. A 10 min walk to the centre.

Even though it's only a 10 min walk to the centre, the area in which the hotel is in is not brilliant and I wouldn't be comfortable walking around there at night! Although this isn't the hotels problem.

The property is intimate and peaceful, feels like an Airbnb! Clean and a little oasis. We loved the pool at all hours of the day, comfortable rooms, and nice sitting area. The hosts Ricardo & Sabrina were lovely as well as the staff!

Not a “dislike”, but just fair warning that the property is a ~10 minute walk to town, so a bit off the beaten path. The walk through the neighborhoods to the main road is lovely though! And felt safe.

i felt really safe and zen as soon as I entered the hotel. Cris and the lady gave us the best welcome we ever had. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot. everyone gets first the granola with yoghurt and fruits. After that you could could choose between eggs or toast with jam /nutella. The room got cleaned and the staff was very very friendly! if you ask for a tour, you’ll receive a brochure of 36 different activities so thats very nice! easy check in and private parking space in front of the hotel

We loved the place, Sabrina and Cristian are just amazing and on top of everything all the time. Cristian was super helpful with excursions, where to rent a scooter, where to eat etc.. with amazing prices. Sabrina was serving us a great breakfast with fruit, eggs, fresh juices, teas, coffees. The place is very well build, european standards with hot water and good pressure always working. The wifi was fast (they have fiber) I really loved it.

Sabrina and her husband are just lovely! They were both flexible and helpful. The room was big and the beds comfortable. The breakfasts were really nice. The pool was delicious. There is a private parking in front of the building. We loved our two nights there!

Although we did not feel unsafe (two girls), the neighborhood looked a little bit sketchy (few lights, no sidewalk). Otherwise the location is alright
