The Hotel is beautifully appointed. It was a great bonus having water available. Aircon, the jungle setting, the bed, shower pressure and the pool were fantastic, with great upkeep by the groundsman. The wifi was 'ok': could be better for remote work. I cannot praise enough the staff at the Aroma Cafe where I had breakfast everyday, plus ordered a couple of takeaway lunches. Extremely professional and kind, and the food was fantastic. Nice touch to have a few supplementary items on sale there. The Hotel is about a 15-20min walk to Centro for those who don't mind walking. There are some shops nearish for water, fruit. Nice that there was a bottle of water supplied. Check-in was very easy, with great communication via booking.com

Daily housekeeping was advertised on booking.com but this didn't happen at all. In the 9 nights I was there, nobody came except when I flagged someone down, and even then she only took out the garbage. A change of towels, replacement of cream and sugar, etc would have been appreciated. It's the only that marred an otherwise superb stay.

Amazing atmosphere with very kind and correct staff. The breakfast was simple but fine, delicious egg dishes mexican art, pancake, croissant. Rooms are absolutely clean and Mariana & Alex are really kind people. :) I recommend everyone who would like to chill in this small piece of jungle with good vibes.

The breakfast is very good, but some additional options would be great in the juice sortiment or in the breakfast after more days.

I combed through hundreds of reviews for countless hotels in this price range before settling on Aldea Xaan Ha. It did not disappoint - Alex, Antheus and the team were so easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome and safe. Check in was simple and contactless. The free breakfast was made to order. Unsure why people negatively review the lack of breakfast on a Sunday because it was clearly communicated in advance. The complex has a gate with a code and a high fence so you feel very secure. While it's not in the centre of Tulum town, we walked in and out of town during the day and night and felt safe on the quiet roads. There were plenty of bikes available to hire (albeit quite old, but the cheap rental price reflected that) The pool was lovely, great air con and fans in the rooms, Smart TV's that you could connect to Netflix etc. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone that is travelling on a budget that precludes fancy beachside resorts. A side note - Beware the boutique hotels that describe themselves as luxury and show a really high starting price, offering you a huge discount. You'll be disappointed! We saw this all too often with other hotels. Aldea Xaan Ha prices their property correctly and is great value for money! 10/10.

We struggled to get our shower temperature right but the odd cold shower when you're in a hot place like Mexico really didn't bother us.

Great place to relax after a day of seeing the sights. Good breakfast which filled you up and set you up for the day. I would have given this a 10 for the stay but for the shower.

We stayed in unit #7 which had a terrible problem with the shower. You either had scalding water or ice cold water coming out of the shower head. No matter what we did for 4 days we could never get things right, just not the best way to start a day but from there every was great.

The site is beautiful, with comfortable and spacious and very equipped rooms. Very important: comfortable beds and great wifi (traveling with a 16 year old :-)). Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast, in a beautiful little lunch/breakfast room. Nice and refreshing swimming pool. Great lounge area in the “jungle:” with swings and comfy seats. BBQ possibility and outdoor kitchen. Very nicely designed site!

The location is a bit far away from the center and the Tulum buzz. I would not walk or cycle to the pueblo center at night. This being said there seem to be quite a bit of construction activities going on around Aldea Xaan Ha area and I would not be surprised if it’s only a matter of time before this part of Tulum gets hip and happening. But for now, in my personal opinion, you definitely need a car/ride to roam around town. Oh, and I would welcome a little bit more consistency in available kitchenware (pots/pans/spoons/ a pair of scissors…...I rented 2 rooms and there was quite a difference in what was available). Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place!!

The room was very spacious and well equipped. The pool on property was clean and the lounges around were comfortable to relax in. The property rents bikes which makes it super easy to go around town. Breakfast is complimentary and is quite tasty, although on the small side

It’s location is quite far out of town and a solid 15-20min walk from the ADO bus stop (but it’s the secret to a very quiet and relaxing spot!). It’s walkable but consider hiring the bikes as it makes it easier to go around.

Very nice structure, clean and big room (actually apartment with 2 rooms), good breakfast, parking availability Staff overall kind.

The shower mixer (cold/hot water) didn't work, we had to either take a very hot or a cold shower. We reported to the structure the issue and they said it never happened before (while reading other comments I see the same issue has happened). They told us to turn very slow the handle to find the right mix, which of course we already did and didn't work. The only reason why I am not giving a 9

Not sure where to start. This was one of the best accommodations we have ever been in, not only in Mexico, but worldwide. The apartment is beautiful, fully equipped, the pool with jacuzzi is perfect, breakfast so good, staff wonderful. It is not located on the beach, so if you are up for beach holiday this might not be for you but for us it was just perfect. My kid wanted to stay there forever.

We liked everything so much that we spent half of our stay in Tulum within the walls of the hotel by the pool (and this normally never happens to me as I like to explore).

everything! first I liked the smart card access to the property, very secure and only guests can enter. Then the facilities were excellent, from the pool to the outdoor kitchen corner and reading corner, hammock area. All this in a mini jungle setting ! the room is spacious and very well equipped, we had an fully functional kitchen, an amazing extra large bed (that could fit my 2 teenage daughters and I) and cherry on top of the cake: Netflix! A must when travelling with teenagers after a long day out. the Aroma cafe is nice and cozy and the breakfast menu is quite nice. Best stay of our Mexican tour! I loved the way very little details were thought of to make sure you feel comfy and cozy.

The hotel is really nice, very relaxing and pool was nice. The vibe was very Tulum like. Breakfast was good enough.

Wifi was a bit slow in the common areas. My boyfriend had to work while we were there and sometimes wifi was a bit slow. If you don't have a car nor a scooter it might be difficult to get around as you are very far and taxis are crazy expensive.
