Residence Yasmina Agadir

I have stayed many times over a 30-year period at Residence Yasmina on Rue de la Jeunesse in Agadir, Morocco. It is in an excellent central area close to Avenue Hassan II and Place Amal, and many good restaurants, cafés and shopping is within a short walking distance. Résidence Yasmina has an older main building which has the reception desk and elevator. These are apartments with a full bath with tub and shower, sink and separate toilet, and there is plenty of hot water, towels, bath mat and toilet paper is provided. Maid service is provided. The apartments have a small bedroom with two twin beds, blankets, closet and a safe. Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen with double-burner electric hotplate, a large refrigerator, toaster oven, cabinets with plates, bowls, cups and saucers, glasses, and cookware, eating, cooking and serving utensils. And the apartments have a living room with reading lights, a small flat-screen television on the wall, another closet, coffee table and plate-glass sliding doors leading to a sunny terrace with one or two chairs. No breakfast is served, but many cafés are nearby, or you can cook in the kitchen. A Uniprix supermarket and the main food market are less than three minutes away. Residence Yasmina has a new addition, which is equally good, and many apartments face the swimming pool and adjacent Royal Tennis Club. The place is a bargain, the check-in is easy, and a porter will bring your bags on the elevator to your room when you check in. Credit and debit cards are accepted, or you may pay in cash.

Room cleaned every day. Staff (reception, security, cleaners) all very friendly and happy. Nice gardens and pool area. Fairly close to some good food outlets and an excellent boulanger. Hotel reasonably quiet. All taxi drivers knew the location.

Around 2 kilometres from the beach and the 'strip' down some quite steep steps on the way. No facilities for buying drinks/snacks. Small bedroom (apartment a reasonable size though)

Excellent value for money for those who want a more authentic experience in Agadir. The staff were really efficient and friendly. Easy to park and security at the front of the residence near the cars. The rooms were very clean. Beds comfy and shower hot water and good pressure. Helpful to have a kitchen to make a hot drink. The rooms are dated but they are so clean I didn’t find that a problem. There is a sheltered area to sunbathe and 2 pools which looked fine but I didn’t use them as I went to the beach. Excellent location 15 mins walk from the beach. Cafes and restaurants around the corner from the residence.

We loved staying here, we actually came back and stayed again at the end of our trip. The apartment was large with a kitchen, fridge etc, dining table, lovely living area and a massive bed in the bedroom which consisted of two double beds pushed together. We were travelling with our two young children so we all slept in together. The balcony was huge. The apartment was spotless and was cleaned every day with towels changed etc as required. The shower was great and had hot water all the time. The two swimming pools was great. The kids were able to play in the kids pool without fear as the deepest part was 0.9m. They had a ball playing with all the other kids. The location was great-shops restaurants etc close by as well as the beach being close However the best thing about the place was the staff! All of them were so super friendly to us and to our kids, made us feel really welcome and safe, looked after our things we forgot at the pool, helped us get taxis and stored our bags and let us use the pool for 3 hours after checkout whilst we waited to go to the airport

This was my second stay at Yasmina (and review), I love the place. I requested the same large room, with a view of the tennis courts and where the sun sets behind the buildings opposite. As holiday accommodation goes, it is superb value for money. A large bedroom, two double beds side by side and more storage space than I could ever use. A spacious living area, with patio doors that lead out onto the balcony. The kitchen area is a little small but I managed to cook a few simple meals. The bathroom is adequate with sink, hot shower, toilet and bidet. The cleaners are around everyday and wait for me to go out, before they swoop in and do their work. Like all the staff, they are available, unobtrusive and helpful, when needed. I hope to return for some winter sunshine soon. I think Agadir is perfect for me and Yasmina is the hub for all places I want to go to.

The WiFi! I managed to find a spot for the laptop, in the hallway which allowed me uninterrupted streaming but it is still unreliable anywhere else in the apartment.

This was my fourth visit to Agadir and the first time I've stayed at Yasmina. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony. The cleaners came in every day, the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The kitchen had all the necessary to cook a decent meal, but it is so cheap to eat out, I never got round to it. There is a full set of cutlery, crockery and pans. The psychic cleaner provided me with an electric kettle after the first day. There was a two ring burner, microwave, toaster and fridge-freezer. There are no basics (salt, pepper, oils) for cooking; or cleaning products. The pool was a little small and colder than the sea, but there were taps and showers to clean up after returning from the beach. Overall, I loved the place and currently dreaming of my next stay.

The WiFi drove me crazy! During the day it wouldn't connect to a half dozen different options, in the apartment. A couple of times I had to trek down to reception, where the WiFi always worked. There is an Ethernet port in the bedroom, which might improve things, but I was without laptop. In the evenings and early in the morning it worked fine.

Simple apartment in a traditional Moroccan hotel, 2 lovely pools & a beautiful garden. When I was booking I read a review that said something like don't look any further, best value in Agadir & I've been coming for years & stayed in many places'. Our 1st time in Agadir but we had such a lovely rest here (tired after 4.5 months of travel) & so enjoyed the pool & view of the garden.

Fortunately I was aware that it could be noisy at night & that was the case for 3 of the 4 nights, nightclub noise in the distance until about 1.30am. Also, too hot to sleep in the bedroom so we slept in the lounge with the door into the balcony open.

After having been made redundant from a very stressful job I needed a place to recuperate and Yasmina Agadir has given me just that and so much more!! My initial booking was just for 4 nights but as soon as I had set foot in my room (1101) which was overlooking the most exotic beautiful garden kept to an excellent standard, I extended my stay to 1 month and 23 days!!! I found the level of customer service to be excellent and one of its kind. Everyone has made me feel extremely welcome, and they were very helpful to address any issues that I have raised with them including maintenance in which they will deal with straight away even when there was no urgency attached to it. 
The rooms were very well kept and exceptionally made clean by the cleaning ladies who were very thorough, hard-workers and super efficient. 
My room was very spacious and homely, and it had everything I needed including well equipped kitchen that allowed me to prepare healthy food. The location of Yasmina Agadir was amazing as everything was within a walking distance from local shops to the beach, and the city centre of course. The accommodation has two small pools which appeared to be very well used and liked by everyone including the children. My best friend who came over from Paris towards the end for 10 days also re-confirmed everything I have experienced in Yasmina Agadir. He also understood why I stayed for so long at YA and saw the true positive changes within me!!! The only thing that I had slight trouble with was the WiFi which was not reliable but for me the other positives were far more greater and enriching. I am in the believe that any business needs a great manager like Ayuob who in my eyes succeeded in creating a welcoming environment that has high customer care at its heart. I am also particularly grateful the help and support I received from him during my stay.

continuation... Though I won’t recall everyone's name, I want to thank Mehdi, Mustafa, Mariam, Hisham, Amin and all the other floor staff from maintenance to parking attendants. Their infectious smile and greetings is something that I will always cherish and stays with me:-) For the future customers, YA has endless positive reviews which is what drew to me in the first place so please do not waste your valuable time with more searches, just book it and you won’t regret it!!! There is not anything I did not like at all!!

I was very impressed with the level of service and amenities provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The front desk staff was always available to answer my questions and provide me with directions. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping my room clean and tidy. I would highly recommend staying here.

HUGE apartment! It was fab! We had a nice view from the balcony over the gardens and tennis courts. Well equipped kitchen, everywhere was really clean. Comfy beds, powerful hot shower and massive lounge area. It's about a 10 min walk to the beach. There's a local shop about 2 mins walk with drinks, bread etc. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it, and we would stay there again. I've read in other reviews that it's old fashioned, yes it is, however I don't think this detracts. The whole place was immaculate and excellent value for money.
