I have stayed many times over a 30-year period at Residence Yasmina on Rue de la Jeunesse in Agadir, Morocco. It is in an excellent central area close to Avenue Hassan II and Place Amal, and many good restaurants, cafés and shopping is within a short walking distance. Résidence Yasmina has an older main building which has the reception desk and elevator. These are apartments with a full bath with tub and shower, sink and separate toilet, and there is plenty of hot water, towels, bath mat and toilet paper is provided. Maid service is provided. The apartments have a small bedroom with two twin beds, blankets, closet and a safe. Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen with double-burner electric hotplate, a large refrigerator, toaster oven, cabinets with plates, bowls, cups and saucers, glasses, and cookware, eating, cooking and serving utensils. And the apartments have a living room with reading lights, a small flat-screen television on the wall, another closet, coffee table and plate-glass sliding doors leading to a sunny terrace with one or two chairs. No breakfast is served, but many cafés are nearby, or you can cook in the kitchen. A Uniprix supermarket and the main food market are less than three minutes away. Residence Yasmina has a new addition, which is equally good, and many apartments face the swimming pool and adjacent Royal Tennis Club. The place is a bargain, the check-in is easy, and a porter will bring your bags on the elevator to your room when you check in. Credit and debit cards are accepted, or you may pay in cash.

Room cleaned every day. Staff (reception, security, cleaners) all very friendly and happy. Nice gardens and pool area. Fairly close to some good food outlets and an excellent boulanger. Hotel reasonably quiet. All taxi drivers knew the location.

Around 2 kilometres from the beach and the 'strip' down some quite steep steps on the way. No facilities for buying drinks/snacks. Small bedroom (apartment a reasonable size though)

The apartment exceeded my expectations; comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. I enjoyed the pool/sunbathing terrace and nice gardens. As a lone female traveller I felt safe walking around this area alone, even after dark, as it was central, close to main streets with lighting, shops/cafes, families etc. 5 mins walk to the beach, 30 mins walk to the souk.

I saw other reviewers suggest the apartment was not clean but this was not my experience. Yes, they would benefit from some updating/redecorating which can make things appear less 'sparkling', but this is not the same as being dirty, and my apartment was cleaned every second day, towels refreshed, etc.

Excellent value for money for those who want a more authentic experience in Agadir. The staff were really efficient and friendly. Easy to park and security at the front of the residence near the cars. The rooms were very clean. Beds comfy and shower hot water and good pressure. Helpful to have a kitchen to make a hot drink. The rooms are dated but they are so clean I didn’t find that a problem. There is a sheltered area to sunbathe and 2 pools which looked fine but I didn’t use them as I went to the beach. Excellent location 15 mins walk from the beach. Cafes and restaurants around the corner from the residence.

We loved staying here, we actually came back and stayed again at the end of our trip. The apartment was large with a kitchen, fridge etc, dining table, lovely living area and a massive bed in the bedroom which consisted of two double beds pushed together. We were travelling with our two young children so we all slept in together. The balcony was huge. The apartment was spotless and was cleaned every day with towels changed etc as required. The shower was great and had hot water all the time. The two swimming pools was great. The kids were able to play in the kids pool without fear as the deepest part was 0.9m. They had a ball playing with all the other kids. The location was great-shops restaurants etc close by as well as the beach being close However the best thing about the place was the staff! All of them were so super friendly to us and to our kids, made us feel really welcome and safe, looked after our things we forgot at the pool, helped us get taxis and stored our bags and let us use the pool for 3 hours after checkout whilst we waited to go to the airport

This was my second stay at Yasmina (and review), I love the place. I requested the same large room, with a view of the tennis courts and where the sun sets behind the buildings opposite. As holiday accommodation goes, it is superb value for money. A large bedroom, two double beds side by side and more storage space than I could ever use. A spacious living area, with patio doors that lead out onto the balcony. The kitchen area is a little small but I managed to cook a few simple meals. The bathroom is adequate with sink, hot shower, toilet and bidet. The cleaners are around everyday and wait for me to go out, before they swoop in and do their work. Like all the staff, they are available, unobtrusive and helpful, when needed. I hope to return for some winter sunshine soon. I think Agadir is perfect for me and Yasmina is the hub for all places I want to go to.

The WiFi! I managed to find a spot for the laptop, in the hallway which allowed me uninterrupted streaming but it is still unreliable anywhere else in the apartment.

This was my fourth visit to Agadir and the first time I've stayed at Yasmina. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony. The cleaners came in every day, the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The kitchen had all the necessary to cook a decent meal, but it is so cheap to eat out, I never got round to it. There is a full set of cutlery, crockery and pans. The psychic cleaner provided me with an electric kettle after the first day. There was a two ring burner, microwave, toaster and fridge-freezer. There are no basics (salt, pepper, oils) for cooking; or cleaning products. The pool was a little small and colder than the sea, but there were taps and showers to clean up after returning from the beach. Overall, I loved the place and currently dreaming of my next stay.

The WiFi drove me crazy! During the day it wouldn't connect to a half dozen different options, in the apartment. A couple of times I had to trek down to reception, where the WiFi always worked. There is an Ethernet port in the bedroom, which might improve things, but I was without laptop. In the evenings and early in the morning it worked fine.

The hotel staff were lovely very friendly. Helped us with anything and everything when they could. We also liked that the location was close to a lot of food places and a walking distance to the beach.

The only faults are in certain places the wifi is temperamental and my data too. Also no AC in the room but this wasn’t a major issue and the room was quite chilled due to tiling.

The staff was always very helpful and kind, with 24h security and reception. The pictures are very accurate and there's cleaning service everyday. They're 2 swimming pools (one for children) and a lovely outside space.

Even though it's not the most modern space, everything was clean and presentable. The kitchen supplies are a bit limited, but it's enough to cook simple meals.

I was very impressed with the level of service and amenities provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The front desk staff was always available to answer my questions and provide me with directions. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping my room clean and tidy. I would highly recommend staying here.
