I love how everything was clean. I love the big cotton towels, the big comfortable bed, the big sky tv, and how easy it was to access the lift right by the entrance and be up in my room in a flash. The staff were kind and helpful. The buffet breakfast was yummy and the layout of the restaurant was spacious and friendly, overlooking the calm waters of the Waikato River. It was my first time to stay in an Ibis Hotel. Whenever I visited Hamilton I always stayed at Novatel but this one was better in my opinion.

The reception was not on ground level. I got confused. Also the valet parking was full but lucky it was weekend and public parking was free!

I have stayed here twice now and I love the location, restaurant and bar. The rooms are always clean. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and in good overall condition. Location is prime. Overall I do reckon to friends and family when they're travelling to Hamilton.

The only things that I would love to improve is a regular update on additional costs, the information I received when I booked wasn't up to date, so when we arrived there were a couple surprises, like an extra bond of over $100 per room if you do not hold a credit card and the parking price being $18 difference. A couple extra towels left in the room with the additional pillows type thing, wouldn't go astray and an actual hand towel not just flannels and a small bar of soap would have been great. All minor details.

Great location with views on to the river, handy to some great eateries and lovely walks. Rooms are small but comfortable and very clean, basic facilities including small bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely bar/dining area looking out on to the river with a large undercover balcony area. Breakfast was very nicely laid out with plenty of great options (including poached eggs on request). Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Parking is a bit expensive at $32 per night on top of room rate but limited options otherwise as I wouldn't want to park on the street.

Amazing service from the team. At a price, our vehicle was parked away safely for us every night and brought to us in the morning. Wish we tired the breakfast and meals at the restaurant but Midnight meals were good. Good size room, lovely and clean, awesome air-conditioning. Perfect location in the middle of the city, close to everything. Defo will stay again.

Toilet paper is far too close to the toilet seat, have to remove the paper off the holder to actually be able to use it comfortably. Only 3 options on the midnight meal with no room delivery, difficult for the Mama's with sleeping babies while partners at the casino. Need a microwave to reheat food when Mama can finally dash out to pickup food before baby wakes. Can hear slamming doors and loud talks and movements through the walls and especially everyone in the hallways, which wasn't great with a sleeping baby. But nothing major that would stop me from staying here again.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful. Every single member of staff I encountered was professional, friendly and helpful. They must have a great company ethos as each staff member was lovely and genuine. The room was immaculate and cosy. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Hamilton. Definitely recommend paying for the car valet if you have a vehicle as makes life so much easier. What a lovely hotel in Hamilton.

Rooms are a bit small and I had a city view room which looked out onto a carpark so not much to look at. Next time I would get a river view room.

Location is great and close to anything worth visiting in Hamilton. Very clean facilities and friendly personnel. The breakfast was rich and tasty.

There is no free parking. It has private parking but you have to pay, which is not so evident when booking, You have to scroll down to details to see that payment is needed. We were unpleasantly surprised. Also while the rooms are very cleaan, they are small and bare bones equiped. Not really suitable for couples, more for business visits and realtively expensive.

Everyone was courteous and friendly. They were efficient and helpful. The whole facility was clean and tidy Breakfast was excellent.

Ibis advertises as having parking, we were told we could either park on the street or behind the Novotel for $30.00, to me this is not parking for your facility. We went into Maakona for dinner, we ordered The kraken (amongst other things, we didnt receive the dressing/sauce that was supposed to go with it, we thought it was quite bland to be fair. We didn't realise there was meant to be a sauce until we saw someone elses plate. Our plates and empty glasses were never removed from the table even when our desert was delivered and we had to go to the bar to order desert and another drink. To be fair we didn't say anything to the staff who were extremely polite.

Breakfast was amazing such a good range. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Shower water pressure was good. Great walking distance to the central city and casino if you want to try you luck !

Few issues finding out booking upon arrival, but staff got there in the end. When signing for the room and asked for the terms and conditions they said we had to find it online. We asked for rooms close together but they had us initially on the 6th floor and 2nd floor, when I asked again after arriving they were able to give us a room on the 2nd floor and 3rd floor. Other than the restaurant there aren’t any other amenities at the hotel.

Very comfortable bed, the best sleep on the whole trip. The room is designed to be very efficient with space. Lots of shelving and places to hang clothing. Very light-tight blinds. Great bedside lights, and room lighting in general. Loads and loads of charging ports. Excellent, excellent TV! All the amenities you need in a hotel, in a compact, efficient space such that the room feels bigger than it is. Great location and view from our room. All of that AND excellent team of young people who really look after you. Outstanding.

Very minor negatives. The fridge in the room is more like on for an RV or boat. It did not feel cold enough, but nothing went off, so it must have been fine. The bedside tables are metallic, and are a bit noisy when put down a glass in the middle of the night. Also, in the hotel bar, despite us being the only 2 people in it, they would not turn down the music for us, which we felt was unreasonably loud for an empty bar.

I loved the the whole room. It all looked so clean. it was warm and the bed was very comfortable. The environmentally friendly toiletries were really nice. I dont usually use them but these were so nice. The shower was very powerful.

The bathroom was very clean and tidy but quite small. The staff didnt know how to drive a manual which was included in the valet parking. it was ok. they took me to get my car and I just drove it up myself. Not quite valet but i liked the fact my car was safe off the streets for a small fee.
