We literally just checked out and I can’t wait to get back there again! Colleen & Clive are amazing hosts, and you can see their attention to details in the room settings from bathroom towels to cutleries and glasses. This is more than a B&B, it’s a 5 stars resort! Did not expect to have mingling time with the pet farm animals but the children loved feeding the sheep, alpaca, Baby cow, ponies, pigs, and playing with the kitties. Breakfast was amazing scrambled eggs & sausages, all kinds of toasts & cereal. Slept on the comfiest bed ever! A must stay for anyone in Hamilton region.

Wonderful experience from the moment I drove up to the property through quiet winding roads and farmland. Arrive during the day if you can to enjoy the views, but pretty at night too. Hosts were beyond welcoming and lovely. Did everything to make my stay exceed my expectations. I look forward to staying again so we can talk more, or play a little guitar 😊 Parking was easy. Room was stunning. Bathroom sooooo spacious, double shower heads and monsoon heads, bath also. Comfy bed and nice robes, towels etc. Balcony on my room was a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was excellent. Nice lounge to relax in and outdoor spaces overlooking farmland to the hills. Cute Alpacas!! Totally recommend and will definitely be back!

It was an amazing experience staying Rua for one night during my journey. The house was fantastic and my room was lovely with comfortable mattress. Both me and my son had sound sleeps after two terrible nights at Auckland. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful with farm animals for kids to feed. Breakfast was nice and healthy. I’ll definitely choose Rua and stay longer time if I visit the north island again. (Sorry the Hobbiton picture was a mistake and I didn’t know how to delete it and that’s why it’s there)

Had family feeling with Coleen and Clive. The breakfast comes with personal touch. Farmstay and animal feeding experience. Really it felt like staying in family/friend's house as once we return Coleen asked about the day...Clive give tips for activities nearby. The pancake they made was delicious.

Didnt know had to share bathroom...until we reached here...but it wasn't a problem...when we adjusted our timing that iy didn't cause impact to activities planned.

Lovely family run B&B, warm & welcoming. The suite we stayed in was classy & super comfortable with sprawling landscape views. Breakfast was good and served with smiles and good conversation each morning.

There were a few technical difficulties with the Netflix enabled TV, which meant we didn't get to use it properly for 2 of our 3 nights. This was disappointing, but we did take into consideration they are in the process of transitioning on to Starlink with a few glitches.

The owners Clive and Colleen were just incredible. Second night, we accidentally left our lights on in the car. In the morning, Clive was there to greet us and did everything you could to help us to remedy the problem. They always went above and beyond for us and provide very clean and comfortable accommodations. I highly recommend us to anyone traveling in that area.

Beautiful place and wished we stayed longer. We booked through booking.com not realising there are different rooms and sizes so the room we got was small for three people but still comfortable and warm with a view of the field in the back. Next time I will contact the property directly and ask them for a room recommendation. Fantastic hosts and loved breakfast.

We were greeted very warmly by Colleen who shares her amazing house so generously. The bathroom was huge with an exceptional double shower. Breakfast was ample and delicious. We departed with some carrots to feed the animals on the property which our daughter loved. Highly recommended this property for a wonderful experience.

An exceptional experience, wonderful to stay in such a unique manor. Grand vistas. It says at door come as stranger and leave as a friend, this rings true. Wonderful host! Delicious breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Shared toilet. Although, I knew this when booking it was a very busy WC. But would definitely stay again!

The house is beautiful, clean, well organised and provides everything you need when booking a stay. On top of all this, the hosts are delightful. The views are stunning, the breakfast is again so well organised and delicious, made by a chef. Great value, I really couldn’t recommend enough!
