The price is worth the stay. Cosy and very kid friendly (not much they can break!)- there are little things like the taps are either hot or cold, not a blend (therefore too hot or too cold), but thankfully it is only for the toilet tap/kitchen tap...there was no such problem with the shower which is great! The kitchen has all the basics you will need (plates, cutlery) including an oven.! The staff was friendly too....I would highly recommend especially if you have young kids (ours are 3 and 6 years) and want something cosy at a decent price. Close to city centre and grocery shops by car.

The owner/host is such a lovely lady. From the moment we spoke on the phone I felt her warmth, beautiful heart and soul and just a friendly special lady. Thank you for being that person, and I'm so so sorry but I forgot your name.

That we couldn't take advantage of the pool and spa as my whaanau and I has left Auckland straight after mahi to go to my cousins tangi/funeral at Te Kauae Marae the next day. And we didn't have time to take photos ;( Next time!!!!!

Location was quiet and central to our needs with a semi rural theme which was cool. Super friendly welcoming, host and the house-keeper was lovely, made the stay worth it. Room and bathroom were outdated but exceptionally clean . Nice comfy bed. An added bonus was to be able to bring my housetrained dog along. I’d highly recommend.

It was hard to keep the room warm, even with the heat pump going. Outdated room and need a bigger TV with Sky.

The room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space with a table to dine at, a sofa to sit on and watch tv, a separate room with a double bed, a great little kitchen and two single beds. Perfect for a family. Close to the caves and the conveniences of Otorohanga. Air-conditioned and quiet. The lady who ran this motel was absolutely wonderful. She was so friendly and helpful we ended up feeling like family rather than guests. Big hugs all round when we left.

The couple's room was great. Margaret was wonderful. Nothing too much trouble. Good location to town. Old NZ type Motel but comfortable and very clean. Small balcony out back where we sat in the sun before going to dinner in town.

The 2 single-bed room was very small and allowed not much space for an adult, clearly geared for a family with children. My brother is partly disabled so a little more difficult for him getting up in the night.

The room was very well kept, nicely cleaned and smelt lovely. The bed was very comfy and had a great sleep. Our favourite thing was definitely the receptionist Margaret!! What a beautiful woman!! She was so kind and lovely and genuinely the nicest person ever!

The parking by the rooms was a bit squishy especially when some guests parked in weird spots. The farmland and road was a little loud but nothing too bad

Recently renovated/built unit was very clean and tidy. Double glazed windows and ranchslider meant it was warm. The staff member at reception was extremely helpful. There was good water pressure

The bed was a little low and hard to get out of. It was a little close to the wall so if you swung yourself to get out of the bed you might crash into the wall. There wasn't really a place to eat inside the unit except on the couch or on the bed - there was chairs and a table outside but with others around it wasn't that private.

Friendly, nice office lady (owner?). I'm happy to have stayed here ... and to have financially supported any future upgrades to this motel. Nice to be next to the countryside (at the end of the carpark, across the road). TV worked well. WIFI good.

The motel is OK but "upgrades" should to be considered when finance permits this. For example: the trampoline looks old (netting is absent); and, motel doors and door knobs are an older style. Also, part of the motel is on the other side of a road, but it was relatively easy (low traffic) to safely cross the road.

We like the convenience and it is quiet unlike some others around area. The manager was super friendly and nothing was a problem always available,but it's getting a little tired. Perhaps they will do a update over time as bookings pick up. Will definitely book again. Basic motel with pool and spa can't go wrong.

It's just a bit tired but for the price just fine.

The office manager was absolutely amazing- no request was too much trouble. She was so friendly and understanding. The accommodation was really clean. lots of space which was what we were after and nice and quiet because we were very far away from the road. We made good use of the pool and spa and it was only a 1min drive into town.
