The property was fabulous from check in to check out. All the staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. The room was well appointed with lots of little fine touches such as a candle and matches by the bath. The wine tasting was fun to do, the food in the restaurant was delicious, we ate in there both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had a facial in the spa which was the best I’ve had in a long time. We were sad to leave and would happily have spent a few more days there exploring the vineyards and relaxing. But I have to say the staff made it! Thank you for looking after us so well, we will be back!

Absolutely nothing!

Beautifully located within a vineyard, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and a running water feature just outside the porch. The villa itself was spacious, comfortable, with a lovely fireplace. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms spacious with a lovely relaxing tub!. Location is a little away from Queenstown, but the benefits exceed the short drive you need to make to visit town. Some beautiful local bike tracks along the river, and through to neighbouring Arrowtown and surrounds. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay as memorable as it was.

That we had to leave. You will need a car to make the location work, but if you prefer nature over the hustle and bustle of town - this is definitely the place to be.

Our room was beautifully appointed, nicely landscaped garden. very clean and quiet. The fireplace in the room is a lovely touch, nice spot to unwind. The hot spa and sauna is free and a lovely experience, although an outdoor shower would make sense: having to rush in the gym for shower access is not ideal maybe something to improve on). The restaurant is absolutely wonderful; unexpected flavours, exquisite presentation, friendly team - we ate there twice.Bear in mind it is a set menu - meaning no à la carte orders. The menu changes every night.

Nothing

Lovely rooms and main communal area - beautifully finished and super comfortable - in beautiful working vineyard surrounds. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

We booked dinner at the in-house restaurant but were quite surprised that in contrast to the website Al La carte menu it was a fixed price set menu, which wouldn’t have been a big deal but it was $190 per head which we think should’ve been advised at time of booking. For that kind of money we would’ve expected a much more memorable dining experience than the very nice but not exceptional meal we had. I’d advise others to check ahead - by 8pm on a Tuesday night there weren’t really any other options locally. The rest of our stay was fantastic.

The dinner at the lodge restaurant was absolutely exquisite. The 5-course degustation was a highlight of our stay, showcasing a perfect blend of flavours and presentation. The setting and views from the lodge added a magical touch to the dining experience.

There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like—everything was flawless and exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast basic not value for price Should have been included in accommodation not a separate package

For the cost we expected at least a welcome glass of wine and cheese platter daily as they are a winery and have their own cheese deli dwe received this every day at Stoneridge down the road from Gibbston lodge at the same price

The lodge was fantastic. Parking was generous and we particularly enjoyed the ambiance of the lodge with the fireplace and turn down service each day. The bathroom was also generously sized.

Gym was small and would have liked to have been able to cast from your phone or iPad onto the tv in the room.

Great spot and staff/service was fantastic

The menu at the lodge restaurant was a set menu and very limited and pretty pricey. We dined there one night and was very nice but had there been somewhere close by with more variety we would of gone there. The only sides they had were carrots and only one vegetarian option- no steak only lamb. We recommend hiring a car to get to other places for dinners as Ubers and taxis canceled on us multiple times as it was too far out .

Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa is fantastic! We decided to treat ourselves for a special wedding anniversary and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. There are so many things we loved - private and quiet location about 10-15 minutes drive to Queenstown, easy bike ride to Arrowtown and other wineries, beautiful scenery, large and spacious rooms, the fireplace was so warm and cosy, the bed enormous and super comfortable, the shower divine and the bathroom had the added bonus of his and hers washbasins. It was such a pleasure having a room that we couldn't wait to go back to!! We also enjoyed discounted e-bike hire and free wine tasting. Would definitely stay again!

Nothing!

Absolutely fabulous lodge! It greatly exceeded our expectations. Room was spacious, lovely outdoor area with beautfiul mountain views! Bathroom was AMAZING!! It is the middle of winter in Queenstown, but it was very warm inside the room with lovely fireplace. Location is great too, only 10 mins drive to centre of Queenstown but with such peace and quiet being away from the town centre. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room is very tidy and clean, with all amenities provided and more. Food at the lodge restaurant was outstanding! We highly recommend the lodge, you will love it!

Nothing really. Only thing to add is maybe have a clearer sign for direction to the lodge receiption at the entrance would be great.
