A group of self contained units in a lovely garden setting. Free parking at the back of the cottage. Also has a laundry available for guests that you pay for.Bed was really comfy and everything was there to make your own meals. Only minutes to walk into the town with lots of choices for Breakfast/ Lunch and Dinner at Cafe’s and Restaurant. We ate at The New Orleans Hotel for Dinner one night and it was great. Only about a 20 minute drive into Queenstown.

Studio is cosy, self contained and has a very comfortable bed. Shades of Arrowtown is easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars. Outer-lying trails for hiking and cycling are easily accessible. There is a very cute golf course 3 minutes by car or 30 minutes walk from the centre of town. Hosts; Brenda and Frank are delightful

Gorgeous little cottages on prestine landscaped grounds and beautiful gardens. Our room was cozy and welcoming. Would definitley stay here again. Peaceful place to stay

I think the only thing was the bed in the lounge area had had it's time not so comfortable but saying that I slept wonderfully everynight

Location was warm and cosy, excellent spot as it was a few minutes walk to the shops, river and close enough to eat out and walk back in the rain and not get wet 😁 the water pressure was amazing and we loved that the bath could be used as a spa also. Ample storage for bags, and an electric blanket on the bed to boot!! Lovely hosts

Shades of Arrowtown was a lovely motel/cottage that had everything you needed. We were in a 2 bedroom unit that had ample room and suited a family with a couple of kids. The rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. One of the main things is that it is only one block from the main strip of shops, restaurants and cafes in Arrowtown so it was a really pleasant and easy walk to everything you needed. Arrowtown in general is a beautiful historic old mining town and a great place to stay and only about 1/2 hour from Queenstown.

There was nothing about this apartment we didnt like. Would happily stay there again.

Lovely location and appearance, walking distance to everything in Arrowtown. Very spacious unit with a well appointed kitchen and separate bedroom.

The lovely front was a pleasure to sit and relax at the end of the day. The room was very clean and well appointed.

New, modern, clean, close to main road and city centre. Reception staff very professional.

Our room design was frustrating. The bathroom door is designed to have a duel role - one is to be the door to close of the shower, two is to close off the toilet and bathroom to the main room. The bathroom walls are very thin with gaps between sheets of glass. Toileting is experienced by all - in all it’s unattractive glory. Dumb, penny pinching design. The only thing that would put me off staying again.

We were upgraded from a studio to a 2 bedroom unit with large living areas. The unit was lovely as were the grounds and setting. Location perfect - right near center of Arrowtown. We loved our stay and will be back, thank you very much.

The unit was very clean, cosy and comfortable and the owner very friendly, would highly recommend. It was a great location, very handy to town and the river. Was a bonus having sky TV with sport for the Olympics.
