Victoria, the owner, and her staff were so welcoming and friendly, the homemade afternoon tea and fresh fruit every day of my stay was so appreciated, and I enjoyed breakfast. Victoria even made Christmas Day special by providing an afternoon platter of home baked ham and potato salad. The cheese and wine on arrival was a lovely touch. And the gardens! Living in the Far North, I had never seen an apricot tree with fruit and although a little windblown, the roses were lovely. Bonus - easy walk to the shops which could prove a liability if you love to shop. I had room in my suitcase so wasn't a problem.

This was a little bit of luxury, sadly only for 1 night! Arrived at reception to find a personalised note directing us to our room. Cheese and biscuits in room and a small bottle of wine, lovely. Victoria came and introduced herself when she returned and was extremely helpful and accommodating (ice thanks!). Afternoon cake was available in the lobby area, which was smashing! Slept well, good breakfast.
There was a fault with our air conditioning, which Victoria did her best to resolve and then provided us with a fan when she couldn't get an engineer in.

Ahhh...! We could *live* at this cosy, spacious, well-designed and welcoming inn! So much thought and consideration has gone into every aspect of the guest's stay that we felt like we'd found our forever home. Beautiful, well laid-out rooms, all the amenities, wine and cheese upon arrival, lovely garden views... we actually enjoyed just relaxing in our largely, lovely room instead of thinking of it as a "place to sleep." The hot, fresh, generous breakfast (included) is one of the best we've been offered in NZ, ever. And just a five-minute stroll from Arrowtown's many charms. We'll definitely be back again and again. Thank-you!

We had a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. Arrowtown is so picturesque and it was an easy walk into the main town. Lovely room with a large bathroom and we had wine, cheese, crackers in our room. On arrival we had a lovely cake / slice in the shared area and fruit selection. The ambiance was very welcoming. Breakfast was served in the adjoining house and was superb. We were made to feel very special with plenty of food choices. The staff were super lovely and very attentive. Overall an amazing stay and would love to stay again when we return one day.
We loved everything. It was perfect for us.

We really liked this property. Lots of little extras provided which was nice (cake, wine, cheese platter) Breakfast staff were friendly and courteous and there was quite a nice selection of breakfast items. Self check in so didn’t see anyone when we arrived. Great location for exploring the small town.
Room was a little warm overnight ( we did visit in the height of summer!) Otherwise everything was more than satisfactory. Overall would recommend

A fantastic place to stay either attention to detail made to make its worthwhile
It’s a shame the cooked breakfast was only available between 8am and 10am which is quite late compared to many other places. Would have been nice if available an hour earlier. However, a cereal breakfast both mornings was available for me to help myself as I was unable to join in for breakfast, which was great and convenient.

Helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast in the main house was delicious. Afternoon tea was provided in the lobby and you could get this at any time throughout the afternoon. Easy short walk to town…worth doing the heritage walk as there is so much to see.
Soundproofing is not great. Our room was downstairs and you could hear the foot traffic, water usage of showers and toilets in the room above.

An absolute favourite hotel in Arrowtown. Beautiful setting, fully appointed rooms, five-minute walk to the center of all that's happening in lovely Arrowtown. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the extra touches to make us feel welcome are so appreciated. Very highly recommend this quiet, private, small-scale/big care boutique lodge for a special treat.

Everything. Our stay was exceptional, one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Beautiful rooms with very well maintained facilities. Extremely thoughtful complimentary services including wine, cheese and afternoon tea. Bed was so comfy and laundry services in the room were so helpful. Walking distance to all Arrowtown has to offer. Perfect stay

Our dream "home-away-from-home" when staying in Arrowtown! Quiet, tasteful, abundant, gracious, and gorgeous-- we absolutely love staying here (which we done a number of times). Beautiful gardens, welcoming host, five-minute walk into the charming, vibrant heart of the village.
Bed pillows are a little tired (though serviceable) and need to be replaced.
