Second time we stayed here and this time we booked family room 9. Good size room for 4 people with kitchen, 2 TVs, outdoor patio area.

I didn't realize there was no aircon. There was only one fan in the main bedroom but it would've good to have another one for the kitchen/lounge area where the other 2 single beds are. At night it was hot and stuffy and we didn't want to keep opening the sliding door because it made loud squeaky noises. The spa is lovely, the pool is great too but it was hard to get out because it only had one step. It was a struggle to get out.

We just spent one night at the motel to escape cyclone Gabrielle so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool or other facilities. But we appreciated the super friendly welcome by the staff and the clean and comfortable room. The location is great to explore Thames and the area. The kitchenette has everything needed to prepare breakfast or small meals. Beds were comfortable and felt fairly new.

The walls to the adjacent room seems to have been rather thin as you could here quite a bit of noise (kitchen sounds), but that wasn’t a big deal.

I was able to live on my own in my room with no disturbances. The other people staying at Rolleston were nice and quite which made me enjoy my stay so much more. I booked this is a hurry and cancelled my booking with another motel prior to booking at Rolleston. I never actually saw a picture of my room prior to booking but I could tell this was a nice place to stay, and I was right!

There was nothing I didn't like. (Google maps was a bit funny when I travelled down, as it kept directing me to the Avalon.)

The pool and jacuzzi were open later than I expected, which was wonderful. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and very well stocked with beverages and kitchen equipment. Two TVs in the room meant that the children and adults were all happy! The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience.

I felt it was on the pricey side for a motel, but the facilities were better than most others I have visited.

The whole place was very clean, lovely amenities, and fabulous staff who accommodated a last minute change (at their suggestion too) to make the room more user friendly by splitting double beds into singles to fit everyone better. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to family and friends.

Nothing but we would have loved a second bathroom in the 2-bedroom unit as there were 6 of us but we knew about this beforehand and we could have booked 2 x 1-bedrooms instead.

We were walking the Pinnacles very early in the morning so the location was ideal for us, our room was very clean and tidy, it was super comfortable and had everything we needed, the staff are really friendly and accommodating.

No complaints.

Our hosts Ken was very welcoming and gave great advise for our trip round the Cormandel peninsular. Good sized room, comfy bed and very clean. I even used the pool which was clean and very inviting. Outdoor patio area to sit out in. Enjoyed our visit to Thames and the Cormandel peninsular.

Well worth the money, well set up room to relax, great beds, clean and tidy

If you want to go on holiday to cook a full meal this isn’t the place but if you want a spot to relax and enjoy Thames this is ideal

Yes if we are staying around Thames I would definitely come back here to stay, wish we could have stayed a extra night, due to my daughter's surgery we couldn't but I'm happy with our stay thank you very much 😊😁

I think it was Elaine I was dealing with. She was just amazing right from the start. Always had a smile, so friendly and welcoming, always came back to my room clean and tidy from house keeping which were great. Nothing I could fault from them ❤

Not the motels fault but I did leave my jandals outside my front door (just a habit) and they were stolen the next morning.
