The owner made us feel home. Checkout is at 10am but she allowed us to stay as long as we wanted. This was an absolute jackpot as we could finally sleep in. Can't thank her enough for that. She was happy to have a chat about our trip. She helped with information about the country, weather, best restaurants. We booked late evening for the same day, this was the only place still allowed bookings in the area. We got a room with everything new, it was recently renovated. The bed was great, nice calm location to have a stop over.

I was visiting friends who lived nearby for 4 nights over the Christmas period. The room was very spacious and located in a quiet area away from the main block. Room 10. The bed was super comfy with good quality pillows. Bathroom had a large walk in shower / wet area. I enjoyed using the complimentary toiletries. Nice quality finishes and felt clean. There was a box of chocolates in my room, on my return to the Motel on Christmas day. A lovely thought. I thought there were laundry facilities for guests (after reading some reviews ) and enquired. I do not think there was this service after all, but they were willing for me to use their washing machine. The surrounding area is beautiful and hilly. Reminded me of the peak district in Derbyshire.

Filter coffee and caffitaire would haven been a great addition to the kitchenette.

very comfortable bed lovely shower nice and clean, and tea and coffee replenished on our second day. Overall a very nice stay.

BEING WOKEN UP AT 6AM BY another motel user because his work truck had been blocked in, it wasn't our car blocking him in. We booked the room for two nights so watching tv was very uncomfortable there are no armchairs or sofas to sit on. We do not like sitting on a bed to watch tv. The kitchen chairs were no nice to sit on for long time.

The owner Trisha was absolutely lovely and beyond helpful. I had to stay here due to breaking down around the corner and I wasn’t able to get home for the night. She offered to take me to the local takeaway to pick me up some food as I hadn’t eaten all day and she organised someone to take me home to Tauranga the next day without me even asking. The room was a great size, had a full kitchenette, a comfy bed and an outside smoking area. Everything was spotlessly clean. Thank you for all your help😄

It has been recently renovated and even though it still has the same cabinetry, etc. it has all been done up nicely. There are new utensils in the Kitchenette, nice shampoo and body wash available. The place was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient, as it’s close but not too close to the main road so it’s very quiet.

Not much parking available so we had to park on the grass.

The beds were very comfortable. We had 2 rooms, one with ac and one without. The owner let us move to a room with ac for the second bedroom for our 2nd night there. It was nice to have that accommodation, and we were grateful for the flexibility. I have it a 9 out of 10 for the first hour night. It would have been nice if there had been ac in every room.

The friendly receptionist. Comfy beds. Our whole motorbike was able to stay together at the one motel. Over all excellent value for money.

The water in the shower went cold when the 2nd person had one. 1st person was in shower for about 10 mins. The room had a smell in it when we first went in there so had to open back door and windows.

I liked that the people were friendly and accommodating. My family and I required a last minute place to stay for the five of us as we were renovating our home and the contractors could not get our floor on in time. The place could fit a family comfortably as us adults had our private room, daughter had her own bed and the two boys had a double. This stay was during the winter and it was cold, the room offered a heat pump. The shower had amazing pressure for after school sports. The tea and coffee area had nice biscuits to share and our cooking facilities were ready and available. Good to see nice stays in Paeroa!

The pricing plan could have been a bit more reasonable and I assume if booking for two nights it would be. The price for $250.00 per night is high for Paeroa, we have stayed in multiple stays with much more access to rescores such as washer and dryer and spa accessibility for $150 - $175PN. There is mold build up happening on top of the shower. A restock of tea, milk and biscuits was not completed for the next night stay, even though the price was the same. Other than that all OK.

A bit faraway but surprisingly good stay close to Coromandel, everything is rather new and fresh (quite a rare thing in NZ in this price category). The motel is named after the non-functioning hippodrome across the road.

The parking lots for the most of the units are located on a pretty narrow road, be careful while parking

Great accommodation which was clean and tidy, with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Great outdoor area which we used to relax in after our bike rides.
